We are still looking for more aged players server ip: 173.192.170.98:3085 we have a custom Taviana 2.0 server running with some nice added features we have added a military base to the Sabina town square we have original barracks at the airfields lots of vehicles and a few armor ones and lots of aircraft we are going to be adding more custom spawn points for players along with custom loot spawns also working on fullmoon nights we are also working on adding small box's with supplies to build small camps box's will have sandbags,hedgehogs,wire and a couple of tents there will be 4 introduced to the map in remote locations we have very aggressive admins

    What do you want to NOT be realistic?

    I hope you can still drive vehicles, climb ladders, and do the little crappy vault with broken legs. For realistic things I hope they sort out the physics. I just hate how it looks when you fall off something and always land feet first as if you are some kind of cat or if you are shot out of a flying vehicle you always fall splayed out horizontally, it looks ridiculous.

    Also depends on the server. Private hives can set a max amount of particular vehicles and a change on spawn when server restarts. For example they set the Huey to max 3 on server. and a spawn rate of 55%. this means that if there is One in the server already, there wont be a second one till server restarts. IF the server restarts it has a 55% change (per heli, 2/3 and 3/3) to spawn at one of the designated locations. None of these locations have a preference to another location, so basically it CAN spawn at every location. In worst case (theoretically) the heli doenst spawn at all for 20 (or more) restarts in a row.....
  7. I run a US server but a handful of people from UK come here and say they ping fine.   8. I'm saying the ATV can hold 5 times the amount a Humvee can, and just comparing the 2 vehicles side by side, it makes absolutely NO sense. Even in a questionable reality.

    Cars, cars, cars

    Everywhere you walk is hazardous area , roads or forest . Actualy when you have car it is more likely you get killed . I was nearly killed near the lake north of gvozdno where nothing spawns . Sometimes its safe to run thru sobor at 60km/h and sometimes safer to take the back routes . You cant command other players where to move nor choose which road is less or more frequent , more hazardous or more safer . The only things I pray they will do when speaking of vehicles in SA : - random vehicle spawns - different variatons of car parts - chance of car parts failure
  12. Ping to high meant the reponse time between you and the server is very high, and servers can put a maximum ping in (i.e. 250.) Try to find a low ping server in Commander. You can also chose between a Official or private hive. You can recognize a private hive. It had a little cloud with a cross in it on the beginning of the server name. Official hive have the advantage, that your character and gear is being 'ported' to other official servers, so if you log in at another server, you still have your stuff. Bad thing is, official server are mostly overrun by hackers. Private servers usually have a lot of extra stuff, like extra vehicles and better starting gear. My advice, find a low ping private server with at least 25 players on it, and enjoy. EDIT: If you found a server you like, put it in your favourites!

    Agree to that part with car parts , that there should be more variations of e.g. engine parts or car wheels and so on , becaose it will make players to scavenge more and bring more realism and thats good , but i dont agree that the vehicles shouldnt be rarity . The excitment and thrill that you have found a car in the middle of nowhere/forest would be gone .

  16. Hey folks. I've done it. I've sealed my fate, and opened my own private hive. For the first week (ending on the 10th of March) it will be visible to ALL DayZ players, and they can join it as they please. After the first week, it will be whitelisted for AG members only in a drive to push new recruitment. In doing so, it will prevent hackers from terrorizing our squads, grieving our Officials, and making our lives hell. Remember, this server only exists to compliment our existing public hive and to increase new members. You can connect to the hive by searching via IP or keyword 'Omerta' in DayZ Commander. 216.245.223.154:9402 Currently it has Full Moon nights, 20 Heli Crash Sites, 250+ Vehicles, and is based on the Taviana Map. More updates to follow. Also taking requests for features/things you'd like on the private hive. Current features of the Taviana Map can be found here.

    No vehicles spawning on new server.

    If it's a private server, it is up to either the host or you (assuming you have database access) to spawn the vehicles.
  18. We wil probably give away as50's and lookalike, rly rare and good stuff. even cars! There should be arouuund..... 30-40 helis if im correct :) spread out on the map! :) as we do have 200+ vehicles. we are still adding more. we are going to add up to 500+!

    i've been playing it for a few dayz now and is the most time i've spent on taviana map the atmosphere at night is astonishing scouting through those cites at night really hits you with the immersion, as for origins its pretty much dayz game play with a few added features, like bulding up vehicles, bigger jerry cans....etc, there's a challenge to go for if you so choose but it takes a lot of gearing up and probably need a helicopter to get there since a boat is slow and you freeze to death on the sea, i'm talking about salvation city, really tough AI with a high chance you'll die on arrival losing everything, they will shoot your chopper down while you attempt to land. but apparently there's really good loot there

    The Shack - a different kind of Taviana server.

    Hello folks, We have secured a testing server(thanks Sendit!), so we will be dialing back our in-server testing over the coming days/weeks. It will take some time to get the testing server fully set up, but once we do, we will be able to drastically reduce the number of testing vehicles and restarts required for function tests. Currently, we have the fields around Kameni(north of large island) set up for vehicle testing for our most ambitious project yet(more on this later). To prevent people from taking these vehicles(some of which are quite powerful), we've set up the area to deliver 3 warnings and then kick/teleport intruders to another area. There are other mechanics in play to keep these vehicles secure so they aren't grabbed by ner'do'well bandits. We understand that this testing area can be pretty disruptive to people that prefer to operate up north, which is why we're excited about the testing server to open this area back up. In the meantime, I thought I'd take a minute to share some of the fruits of the testing area with you folks. One of the things we had the opportunity to do is set up screenshots of most of the vehicles in game.     Chance of zombies in found vehicles

    i would like to see more props everywhere (like the implemented mass graves) dead ppl in vehicles ppl in nooses hanging from their apple-trees in the backyards a couple, death in their car in a garage...
  22. like I said, I'm not asking for battalions of tanks, planes, Heavy Machine guns and Mortar crews. This post right here proves that ya'll have no idea what i'm asking for. I do not want Hawitzers or Abrams, or anything like that. I understand that it would be OP and kill the game. But you can't get that in your head.. You act like I want 10,000 "heavy Artillery" cannons in each damn town. Apache heli flying over and Abrams shooting it out. Deh But there are military bases in game. There are military zombies... there are military aspects of the game you can't hide from that. To say that there would be no armored vehicles, HMG, or mortars on map is a big bag of silly because authentically you could find them at the FOBs placed in map and at the barracks already in game. etc. etc. etc. If you want only survival.. I think they should just remove all guns, maybe try minecraft? It's like you see someone say 'tank' and you see red with BF CoD titles popping up. no one is asking for that.

    Zombie Changes

    I don't know about you guys, but I get the feeling that zombies are starting to become like the ninja rabbits: fast, annoying, and fun to shoot. The recent updates claimed to have brought back this survival horror aspect, but the only survival horror items I've seen is the horror at the absolute nothingness zombies can do and the question at whether I will be able to survive until zombies get higher that maggots on the food chain. So first things first: the concept of a zombie.To understand this thread better, I suggest that you go and grab the Project Zombiod demo and play it out, and read their argument over whether zombies should run or not. I want to bring this running vs. walking argument to DayZ. Right now, zombies are runners. No, this does not make them difficult. this makes them annoying as I have to take them down by first switching to my pistol. Something needs to change here. Firstly, the should be given massive amounts of health. Amounts of health that are so high, that only the AS50, M107, vehicles, and (maybe) LMGs can take them down without headshots. Also, their damage should be decreased, and chance to cause bleeding and broken bones decreased. The real radical part comes in now: zombies should be walkers. I mean, not much a difference in speed between meandering about and chasing you. At this point, you guys are probably thinking this is a horrible idea. May I remind you, that Project Zombiod has only walkers, but they consistently manage to kill you before your first ten days. I say there should be swarms. Chernarus has a stated population of 1.8 million. If you run around Cherno (the largest population), you will attract maybe 100-200 zombies. Tops. Do you know how much 100-200 zombies is? That is maybe 1-3 floors of one of the skyscrapers. I think zombie numbers should be drastically increased, and have a style of attack more similar to that seen in World War Z (This is a book that has nothing to do with the War Z). Nothing short of silenced/melee weapons will draw the attention of at least one zombie. And when he notices you, he immediately calls out to every zombie within 50 meters. Those zombies in turn will attract the attention of then next zombies in a 50 meter (diameter) circle. I want the danger of zombies to be not that the occasional zombie will break your bone and leave you at the mercy of the bandits, but that so many zombies appear that there is literally no way out, and you are forced to watch them painfully beat you to death before ripping you apart. Maybe these ideas don't fit in. I thank the community in advance for raging over these ideas in the most destructive way possible and destroying my future self esteem. Note: with any luck, I will be releasing a rather long list of suggestions for DayZ (currently 11 pages and growing) sometime in the near future, if you are interested in my ideas.

    world_vehicle Accidentally replaced/deleted

    Anyone at all have the time to help? at least half the vehicles this guy posted are for Rmod only (which i don't have or want to use) and at least 20% of them are broken spawns e.g. bi-plane next to a shop. Until i get my vehicles sorted out no-one is going to be playing on my server.. :/ I really want to sort this out fast so i can start adding my own worldspace spawns, its gunna take a while to do that (i want at least 100-200 custom spawns on top of defaults) so its best to get started early as possible.
