Back in the day cars were making ruckus when players were entering their vicinity (bubble). It was supposed to be fixed. Currently though if a player gets close to a base (doesn't matter which one), then said place will make sounds by itself. Construction kits, installed logs, wiring... All that assault players with cacophony - a real-time alert really. But there is something even more ridiculous. Portable devices which also detect players. If a person comes into certain range, the device will alert others with sounds. Any type of locks - from vanilla's combilock to modded codelock. But these have to be deinstalled from gates first - this enables radar feature. It detects other actors on the map - from animals to vehicles. Is it nuts? Wait for this one: construction light does the same thing. By default! Should i report this via hidden ticket? I should. But frankly i don't care. After all this time i truly don't care. It's like with the bandage. They added option to use it continuously - but did not do it for other consumable items - like sewing kits. Things need same methods applied but its never done. How easy is to cheat in this game? And even if you don't want to. You cheat simply by hearing things you shouldn't.

Gas and nuclear contaminated areas Build your own base / territory with territory flag (ensures long-time-persistent) nail up the windows of houses or build your own house (log cabin) Lots of items to set up your base (furniture like lockers, fridges, cupboards, beds, plants, sheeds, houses, greenhouses...) lots of building material (cement, pallets, sandbags, metal, wood,...) vanilla, expansion and CabinMod base build Missions (e.g. B. collect and deliver items, free hostages, kill zombies,..) many vehicles (cars, vans, motorcycles, trucks, helicopters) including inventory in car! Hi. My xbox server have the problem that some vehicles spawn stucked inside the events, as if they were loot, within trains, helicopters, or convoy trucks. Does anyone know how to fix it? HELP MEEEE PLEAAAAAAAASEEEEE!!!

This year, as we toasted to DayZ's 10th anniversary, we decided to do something truly special: invited a group of influential creators to join us for an unforgettable experience and have exclusive look at our new Expansion - DayZ Frostline. Sneak Peek Description - Summary Environment A Closer Look at DayZ's Frostline Expansion: Insight from the Development Team As we delve into the creation of the Frostline expansion for DayZ, set on the enthralling Sakhal archipelago, there are a few design decisions and creative directions we've taken that we're happy to share with you. Our vision has been to create a unique survival experience that breathes new life into the game, and here's how we're making it happen. The Decision for a More Intimate Map Sakhal stands as our most compact map to date, boasting an area of approximately 87 square kilometers of traversable terrain (Subject to slight changes depending on development), not including the vast expanses covered by ice sheets. This shift towards a smaller landscape was driven by our observation of player interactions within community-favored modded maps, which highlighted a clear preference for environments that encourage encounters and engagements between players. Moreover, this more intimate setting allows us the opportunity to delve into an unprecedented level of detail in the environment design. The smaller size does not mean a reduction in complexity or exploration; rather, it enables us to craft a world with rich storytelling and intricate details that larger maps could not accommodate, thereby enhancing the immersive survival experience DayZ is known for. Utilizing Tanoa Terrain: A Strategic Choice In our quest to expand DayZ's universe, we evaluated numerous factors, with time and gameplay standing at the forefront of our considerations. While the allure of crafting a brand new map was strong, the practicalities of map development, such as time constraints, data acquisition, and legal hurdles, guided us toward a different path. The decision to adapt the Tanoa terrain from a lush tropical landscape to a rugged, volcanic island nestled in Far East Asia was not taken lightly. This approach allowed us to leverage existing geographical data and transform it dramatically to fit the harsh, survival-centric gameplay of DayZ. From Tanoa to Sakhal: What Remains and What Evolves It's essential to clarify that our use of Tanoa’s base elements — satellite data, heightmap, and key geological features — serves merely as a foundation. Significant modifications have been made to these components to capture the essence of the cold, desolate landscapes characteristic of the Kamchatka Peninsula. The familiar road networks while somewhat retained, have been tweaked for gameplay, forests reimagined to suit the new climate, and the topography tweaked to align with DayZ’s distinctive gameplay needs. This transformation extends to the assets utilized within the map. While some assets from previous maps have been repurposed and readjusted to retain the Eastern-European architectural vibe; re-using some models make perfect sense. we're also introducing a wealth of new building assets specifically designed to reflect the rural and rugged essence of East Asia, and more specifically, Kamchatka. This ensures that, despite some visual similarities, Sakhal offers a fresh and distinct experience compared to its predecessors. Snow-covered landscapes aren't just a visual spectacle; To give you a glimpse of what's in store, we've prepared a series of sneak peek videos showcasing environmental differences that you may not find in Modded Maps. Snow covered placements Thanks to the Enfusion team, we were able to update super, multi and plant shaders with a possibility of projecting a texture layer in any defined direction. This is particularly beneficial in case of rocks and trees, which do not need to be placed or textured in a certain way, because snow will always be projected from top to bottom. we should be able to but sheet metal or logs or planks on vehicles bit it will slow them down depending on which material is used and we should be able to make more improvised walls and log walls and reinforce metal walls with concrete or use metal pipes for the posts and for the frames and we should be able to make smaller gates so it can be the same size as a door to a house

Have you noticed that the consumption of weapons, tools, shoes is simply "absurd" (not slightly out of the norm). Have you noticed that the doll eats like a pack of wolves but never becomes obese? Plants that grow, flower, fruit, wither and rot in a few hours?!? To mention the most glaring absurdities, but also other things "completely out of reality" impact the realism of the game much more than a bit of inertia in moving a weapon. The setting up of tents, fences, the general management of vehicles (as well as their behavior), the cold (very different clothes = minimal difference), the damp (waterproof clothes should remain dry... only matches suffer the humidity), etc... And do you mind the "poor inertia" of movement of the weapons?!? Did you notice everything else?!? No bother at all?!? I do not understand... 🙄 😕 😞

Law Enforcement So, there has been a great lack of Police/Militia vehicles that are used in the Czechoslovakian Socialist Republic/Soviet Union Era Aesthetic of DayZ, here are some suggestions! 1. A Militia/Police (Drivable) GAZ-24 Volga with a working light and siren. Due to the recent update, and an idea of mine coming to attention, I have realized that the red spinning light on the bunker is a retexture of the police car's light that you find on crashed police Volga (Shown below). Using the blue rotary light, this can be made into a function that would work when pressing a certain key or button, and the light would turn on with the siren. The fixed police model of this car would look something like this (With respectable "ПОЛИЦИЯ" or "ГМ" markings instead of the Czech "VB"): ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. A Police VAZ-2121 4X4 (Drivable) with a light and siren. This would be a new version of police car using the in game named "ADA 4X4", this could be used for off-road police situations and scenarios for role-players as well as for dynamic police situations. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fire and Medical Service Vehicles Within DayZ Standalone, there are absolutely no Ambulances or Firefighting vehicles, and this could be a problem for overall aspect of depth. For example, the crashed plane in the tower would most definitely have had emergency vehicles respond, as there are even firefighter infected on site, but no vehicles besides civilian, which are nearby. 1. The ZIL-131 (Drivable) Fire truck. This fire truck is probably the most iconic vehicles in history, as it serves historical significance when serving during the 1986 Chernobyl disaster. The paintjob will stay the same, but the city name on the door should be taken off and replaced with the country name, "Chernarus", so the firetrucks can be used anywhere in the Chernarus map. It will use the same rotary light affect in blue, and have the iconic whirl siren noise. Wrecked versions of these vehicles can spawn fire/NBC loot for the player. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. A Praga V3S (Drivable) Fire truck. Using the same model with slight differences for the bed and also includes one blue rotary, and two red rotary lights on the top of the cab, it contains a firefighting bed as well. It would definitely replace the V3S's that are placed next to fire stations to increase depth. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. An RAF-2203 Ambulance. This ambulance would contain 4 seats, one of these seats are a bed that a player would lay on, but it would act as a seat. Two seats would be in the cab and driver area, and the last seat would be in the back near the bed seat. This would be used greatly by role-players that need to transport injured or critically injured players to certain locations. It would contain one blue rotary light and two sirens. Crashed versions of these could also spawn medical loot. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I hope this post gets some attention, as I feel that this would be important for the role-playing community of DayZ Standalone, and not only that, but for the overall immersion of the game could be greatly increased if these vehicles would be added. Hello, a weird issue, after wiping our DB by deleting the storage_1 content and booting everything up all seemed fine until our users including myself noticed that the vehicles we have didn't spawn anymore. They can of course be spawned in by admins. Any ideas what can cause this? All worked fine before the "wipe" and no config changes have been done to any of the event files. The vehicles are all set to active. I noticed a couple of Vehicle.bin files under storage_1 could a possible fix be to delete those files and see what happens? Side-note; forgot to mention that we have DayZ-Dogs enabled and their spawn is fine, its just vehicles. //Br
