Hey guys, Myself and my friend Brandon have setup a new DayZ Server on Namalsk, It is a private Hive and we hope to get it up and running with a fair few base members, the server is currently quite empty but we hope to change that, although it is a good time to come online and hoard some vehicles and start a base for yourself, restarts are every 3 hours so there will almost always be new vehicles ready to go. Hello guys and girls *Now with Sarges AI running/flying around! We´ve started a DayZ Epoch server running Chernarus. We already have a bunch of regular users on it, but we need new blood and new challenges! Maybe you´d like to join us? 94.23.200.92:2342 - DayZ Epoch Chernarus - Gorillas.dk - Custom Loot, Vehicles and Scripts (Sarge/Lift/Tow/Fuel) [GMT-4] Server is customized in many ways: Crashloot: Scars, M4 variants and many others added. One problem is the game is simply too buggy, its way too easy to die from glitchy teleporting zombies/lag/dsync/random exploding vehicles/flying ATV's/doors..you get the idea. I expect the standalone to be better in this respect but i'm sure there's still going to be lots of dumb ways to die and this will just cause too much frustration if every time you die you lose everything. And as others have mentioned, having tents just disappear into thin air when someone dies makes as little sense as a new spawned character automatically knowing where to find a tent full of gear. Its always going to be a problem when you have a persistant shared world like this. I do like the idea of a super hardcore ironman style server setting where if you die you lose everything but i probably wouldn't play on it that often. and would bet it wouldnt be highly populated, Its hard enough getting players on to a veteran server.

Best way to hide your vehicles? In the middle of the NW Airfield, with a satchel charge armed and ready to blow - and about 10 minutes of waiting time in the trees. (evil snicker)

NAH 5000 vehicles spawns and a free AS50 is better.

Searching for a new server where to stay without any problem? Why not us? We currently have secret military bases around in the map, 150 vehicles (I think this could be nice, vehicles would be considered more rare and wont be wasted and in my honest opinion there's more competition), Auto-Refuel and Self-BloodBag. Veteran, Day/night cycle with Greenwich Mean Time +1 (Italy/Sweden/Germany/Norway time). We also have events, they will always change, you can find them on our forums at www dot chernarus dot tk. We are new and even if our community was born in 2012, we are searching active staff for our server, possibly from all over the world (we need to keep the server monitored againts hackers). We have a custom anti-hack based on many hacks where our "spies" have accounts in, so we tested our anti-hack and it's very good, always finds gear-spawning and teleporting instantly, while 68% of ESPers are often caught. We don't have donator perks beacuse we don't like unrealistic stats modifications, but donations are appreciated to keep the server up. So, we pretty much have anything you need (we are also taking very seriously user suggestions and feedbacks), we need only one thing: You. You all are appreciated at 46.165.221.97:2332 P.S:We don't have proper rules beside of "Don't hack" and "Don't Insult", but just use common sense. I'm also looking for a server like the one you posted in your opening post. If you find such a place, please post it as i'm sick of searching through the private hive section just to find every server has +500 Vehicles, Choppers and bloody AI. Like you i'm looking for a European server.

It's that time of the day again: MADNESS time. The time where part of the map is designated for a special event. To skip the charades of the last two event's lack-of-details: 3 cars are going to be driven around Stary Sobor, on the road between Stary and Chernogorsk. 1 car has a MP5SD. 1 car has a shotgun, ammo, and NVGs. 1 car has a ghillie suit and SVD camo + SVD mags. All 3 cars are going to be away from each other, so one massive ambush does not catch them all. The drivers do not want to be shot, so please don't shoot them; the vehicles and gear inside are free for your taking, if you are nice to the drivers. If you are not, and you shoot at them before/while they pull over, the driver will jump out and leave you dead. Get searching before they run out of fuel. This has most likely been suggested already, but could there/will there be vehicular combat in the standalone? By this I mean being able to shoot a pistol out from your car, for example. Chasing a player and being able to shoot at their car would be much better and more realistic than driving around cities for 20 minutes until one person runs out of fuel.

Depends. If its a ways away, I keep playing. One it gets to 5 minutes I park any vehicles, and just over watch them until reset.

I personally like base building :) We were on a server once, had a few things set up at a base and a couple cars and some a$$holes hunted our base down ( took em like 2 weeks peeps told us about em in game when we were on) and when they found it they ran over our tents and blew up our vehicles. It was $hitty! Then to top it off, or to be more a$$hole-ish they put a note on the map that said SRY F8L.....it was very upsetting. We stopped playing after that, it is one thing to take stuff from our camp but to be a troll and just destroy the whole thing was a crap move! Anyways with base building we can put up walls and a gate that only we can enter. It is nice to know that when we get on everyday our stuff is more then likely safe and still there. Just my opinion tho! :)

I assume you mean 24/7? Well, yes and no. I've had random server downtime on private servers before, much more so than public, but also most private severs aren't active 24/7, and my play time is sparatic. Plus the fact that servers both public and private will randomly shut down for good or change maps. On public, all I've lost is whatever tents and vehicles I left there, private, I lost everything. On the vanilla servers, yes private vanilla do exist, but they're becoming more of a rarity as time goes on. Few servers can resist the temptation to not kick up the number of vehicles or add a barracks in Balota or something, and even if the server description seems like it doesn't have anything weird, you get in and spawn in with some of the weirdest loadouts. Just not worth the hassle imo. I'm not saying private servers are bad, they do allow admins to be more creative with how the game is played, and it fill a niche for some players, I just personally prefer public hive, and the features of private hives cannot replace what features I like about public hive, at least with the way things are set up now.
