SERVER:192.111.147.40:4030 The FUN Clan has their Dayz Epoch Chernarus server up! We have wicked AI missions, extra supply crates, edited trader items, day and night cycle, and safe trader cities. We have a teamspeak that allows people to communicate if need be. Channels can be made for groups of people. TEAMSPEAK IP: ts30.gameservers.com:9162 Add "Lawnboy20" on steam or join the teamspeak if you have any questions? We do have a few rules to the server, it does seem like a lot but its to stop the trolls. To be warned their are people posing as FUN members on the server so not all of them can be trusted. Trusted people to talk to are BlueJay, Blamethrower, Warboy, Lawnboy, Sander, and Rat7. They are there for you if you have server problems. They can talk to the owner who then can fix the issue. The owner is Warboy20. If anyone wants to donate it would be much appreciated. If you donate over $5 you will get a custom base put in the location of your choosing. Right now we are trying to get the server going. So if you can bring your friends on groups over 3 will get a chainsaw. Depending on how many people you can get to join you will get small reward like a locked SUV or such. If 15 or more people are on the server the admin might do a server event with high end loot! BASE RULES: No Damaging vehicles in bases, Locked vehicles within 30 meters of the base. (unless in combat, and firefight is taking place and vehicles are in line of fire) No Kamikazing Bases No Satcheling Bases No Glitching No building on high loot spawns (castle don't count) TRADER CITY RULES: No combat with in 100m of trader city No stealing, damaging vehicles in trader city No building within 100m of trader city No leaving cars within 50m or in trader city No camping within 100m of trader city Other Rules: No Spam on Side Chat No Combat Logging (you will get your inventory wiped if in firefight) No trying to escape jail No hacking HAVE FUN! The point of jail is that you sit in game in a zone were you cant do anything for the period of time for breaking the rules. This is used for minor rule breaking. you will be given a price if you want to bail out early.

I think we should have a discussion on the Rarity and Distribution of vehicles

So, with vehicles probably coming within 6 months, I think it's time to have a proper discussion on what effects on the gameplay we expect from vehicles and how they best should be implemented. We've had many threads in the suggestion forums focusing on a specific part of vehicles gameplay or suggesting the addition of certain vehicles but I would like to discuss things like how common vehicles should be, how much work they take to repair and keep in function, and how the vehicle types will be distributed. Will there be many bikes? Cars? Trucks? In my opinion, the far most common vehicle would probably be ordinary bikes. If you need to get out of reach of an area because of OMG ZEDS, then surely you would take a motor vehicle, I can't imagine that your first course of action would be to grab your old bicycle from the garage and bike away... As for car types, I think we all should remember that we are in South Zagoria, Chernarus isn't a rich country and especially not this region of Chernarus... I think most cars would be rather old, slow things. Old Soviet automobiles, and such. A rare UAZ that might still work nicely, and just a few slightly more modern, maybe european cars. I don't know, an old mercedes, maybe, or a Volkswagen. As for military vehicles, I think the CDF is a largely motorized militia force, so it would make sence to see a lot of trucks and UAZ's. Maybe some military garages would make a nice addition to the map? A working Ural 375 should be a rare, but useful find. I really don't want to see vehicular travel being the norm. I remember myself the feelings I had when I first experienced vehicle travel in the mod. I've played a lot of ordinary Arma 2, so it's not that I never had been in a vehicle before, but DayZ makes you look at Chernarus in a completely different way. I think that if vehicular travel is too common, then this feeling will disappear. Thoughts? -
I've thought a while about how loot spawns around the map and I've found out that it's really odd to see certain loot somewhere, where it shouldn't be found. That's why I propose some changes: I'd like to see some sort of differentiation between certain types of loot type zones, so that some stuff would be findable only in certain places of certain loot types and some stuff would be way more easy to find between 2 types of loot types in the boundaries of the same loot zone. What do I mean? I mean, that on example Western military equipment would be only findable in military areas, that we could consider as temporary, like on roadblocks, evac sites, Tisy tent city, even trains or that Rify shipwreck. Meanwhile Eastern military equipment would be findable everywhere, but would be quite a bit easier to find in permament military installations, like Veresnik, NWAF, Kamensk or even that unmarked military compound north of Krasnostav. Proposed changes wouldn't impact heli crashes. What sub-loot types would I create: 1) Military a) military permament infantry: Eastern equipment, including weapons, ammo, attachments, explosives, protective gear (maybe add a new Russian tactical helmet with new Russian NVGs, which wouldn't be compatible with existing tactical helmet, which for me looks as Western equipment), clothes and other equipment (including wooden crates to simulate undurable equipment being stored there), small chances of finding certain civilian stuff (like food, certain clothing, sewing kits, duct tape and other irrelevant stuff) b) military permament vehicles + industrial (for any places inside of military bases with warehouses, garages or roofs for vehicles similar to that of in front of camo building in Veresnik, judging by fuel tanks inside of compound it probably housed vehicles under that roof): everything from above plus oil barrels with gasoline AND a possiblity of plastic explosives c) military temporary: Western equipment, including weapons, ammo, attachments, explosives, protective gear, clothes (yup, if you want to look like US marine, then stop loot cycling airfield) and other equipment. NO civilian loot, any Eastern gear 2) Police a) village police: clothing, pistols, shotguns (please introduce BK-133 to civilian loot type, it'd be pretty normal for civilians to have pump action shotties), ammo for those and other gear b) city police: everything from village police + Pioneers, Skorpions and gear needed to operate those 3) Medical a) hospitals: around the same amounts of every type of medical supplies (blood regarding stuff + morphine, disinfectants, medication - includes epipen) b) medical clinics: a bit less blood regarding equipment and disinfectants and no morphine, but more meds c) temporary: a lot of blood regarding equipment and disinfectants, morphine of the same amounts as hospitals, medication rare 4) Fire stations stay the same 5) Industrial a) utilities like water and electricity: tools and industrial clothing very common, anything else rather rare b) civilian industrial (like garages and sheds): pretty much a bit of everything c) enterprises: building supplies common, tools and clothing common, some repair kits common, NO vehicle parts d) car regarding industrials: vehicle parts and some repair kits (like epoxy putty, for tires or electrical) very common, plastic bottles with questionable liquids findable 6) Civilian Here it's pretty much everything except military and police damage dealing equipment, everything of unquestionable legality. Which means you would be able to find sometimes fishing, survival equipment and hunting equipment, which normally you'd find only in summer camps and deerstands, rarely medical supplies (except morphine, blood bags and blood test kits) and very rarely fireaxes (after all it isn't illegal for them to have splitting axes, so why not let them have fireaxes?) Just some locations will have different stuff than others: a) Supermarkets and shops: more food, but no ammo and no weapons (besides handguns), hunting gear very rare b) Offices: little food, crap very common c) Fuel stations: food findable, handguns common as they are now d) Schools: food less common than normal, but tonnes of "school" loot like backpacks and clothing 7) Rural a) farms animals (so barns): tools, various farming items like garden lime, repair kits, sharpening stones b) farms other: everything from a) plus weapons and ammo for those c) non-leisure summer camps: your standard summer camps we know today, so survival and hunting equipment, a bit of civilian loot d) leisure summer camps and camps for kids: almost no typical hunting equipment, but to compensate a bit more civilian loot e) deerstands: Solely hunting equipment, but in big amounts 😎 Coastal, aka fishing industry a) boat wrecks: fishing equipment and bit of civilian stuff b) boathouses: only fishing equipment, but more of it Yeah, wrote quite a long article.

In the mod you could pick up and carry car engines and heli rotors and it would effect your stamina the more you carry. I was wondering with the SA being so much more geared towards realism and authenticity, to a point of course how repairing vehicles will work. Will we be able to just put an engine in our inventory? I somehow doubt it. My idea was having wheel barrows and hand carts that we can pull around. They can be somewhat common having multiple types of carts that fit different locations. So if we find a spare part that weighs 150lbs we can maybe have the option to cover it with brush to stash it, or just mark it on our maps and hope it's still there when you arrive an hour later with a cart. I personally want this mechanic to make sense and be somewhat realistic, and am very curious to see how it finally ends up working. So what do you guys think the best way of going about this would be, while trying to have it make sense and not seem ridiculous like putting a heli rotor in your pants.

I remember that in Operation Flashpoint: Cold war crisis, that when ACE mod came out for it they had the feature to actually shoot from vehicles. I think it would be a great thing to be implemented into the game itself. It would at least lead to some kind of defense when driving with a bunch of survivors. I never understood why they decided not to put it into ARMA itself when the devs all broke away from OFP. I feel it would definitely add to more of a game play to vehicles besides just a form of transport. As of right now in both ARMA and the DayZ mod everyone is forced to stop the vehicle and get out to fire. While this will still be viable option, the players may want to try and make a run for it while laying down some form of fire. I know vehicles won't be added into SA for a little while but hopefully it'll be a feature they planned on doing. Thoughts?

To have an Vehicle was the most important goal in day z mod because fast traveling on a huge map is important . I think day z is an game you play with friends, an clan , or an group and it would be funny to conquer an driveable train with them And defend it against other player . And its realistic that bicycles are common so they should be easy to find . I am sorry for my bad english skills

Figured we could start to vote now and help the devs by showing what we want that way when vehicles become a reality they will know what models the community is really looking for! Personal wants: Land Rover Defender 110 and 90 Lots of customization like roof racks lights etc to be found they are also made in diesel so that could be an upgraded engine to find! Also military uses so maybe find a machine gun mount? Jeeps Old or new wranglers again lots of parts to be found for these HMMWV Would be the rare western vehicles etc finding armor doors gun mounts etc... not sure on Russian vehicles but deffinatley some of those civilian and military Large transport trucks half tons dueces etc Huey, Blackhawk, Mi-8s Chinooks just a nice mix of military civilian aircraft. Want to see what you guys are wanting!

I would love to see a Police car added with police belt that can hold mags, cuffs, a flashlight, and billy club. I would love to be able to have an ankle holster for the smaller pistols Blanks would be a funny yet interesting addition i believe peep holes on doors in houses. ability to decapitate people and put their head on a stick ability to go threw my menu while sitting in a car working dressers in homes and food in cabinets a small snub nose revolver not just a weakened magnum Bring back wild bores and add crocks and gators Please add horns to cars Ability for lock picks to be used on vehicles ability to cook meals BETTER STORAGE for ammo including gun racks and wall mounts. crafting our own ammo would be a very welcomed addition as well TOOLBOXES PLEASE Medical kit with a space bigger then 9 slots The NUMBER 1 thing i would love to see added is the ability for generators to power homes and use all that is inside. Drinking from the sink, washer and dryer return cloths to pristine, fridges store food and drink and keep it from spoiling, and lights . Yall already gave us fridges I know the devs are working with the hell dean hall left them but please give us more depth and save us from being just a open world reskinned arma with zombies

PugZ is a brand new server needing fresh players. PugZ is a lighthearted Epoch server that strives to become the definitive dayz epoch experience. It has blood bags, auto refuelling, loads of vehicles, god mode anti theft traders, take clothes and more. We play on the Panthera map. The only rules are: Don't hack/cheat Don't build bases in high-value millitary areas e.g barracks. Don't abuse other players. I've been playing DayZ Standalone for quite a lot of time now and i'm tired of running. For good loot i have to go to the north side but running takes around 1 hour to reach there and plus my finger hurts because of pressing 'W' for a long time. Anyone knows when will the cars, helicopters, bike will come?

I'm having a problem on my server I'm hoping you can help me with. It is a relatively new server that has been up for 10 days now. There are a number of vehicles that have not spawned MH6J HeliV3sBus - either of themHMMWV - rare so maybe okSUV - very rare and maybe doesn't exist, but the config.cpp file indicates it should spawn I've also had some odd deals with heli's jumping a bit on restart and blowing up, but doubt that is relaated. In my .rpt file on startup there are a few odd lines that worry me. We have opened a DayZ Epoch server on the taviana.com map. The admins of this server formerly ran a DayZ origins server that was in the top 100 on gametracker. We have moved our server to KC because it is a less populated Data Center. Server runs great. We (the admins) all play legit and do not use any tools (unless needed to) and we're all very active. This server will have near enough every plug-in for example... *NOTE BEFORE READING BELOW, NEW PEOPLE (FIRST 10) WILL BE OFFERED BASIC BUILDING MATERIALS) 500+ Vehicles - This includes more army and tracked vehicles (e.g. tanks) and jets too! AI Missions - Anything from bandits setting up stashes to crashed C130s & helis. Auto Refuel Self Bloodbag Trader Camp God Mode - You will not take damage while inside a trader zone. Customised Map - Many buildings have been added and camps created including "West Kamenka" and "Stary Airbase". Towing - Certain vehicles can tow others, planes can also be towed out of tight spots! Indestructible Base Building - You won't have to worry about your base being destroyed, it becomes indestructible after a restart. Sarge AI - Survivors, soldiers & bandits roam around, fighting each other, zombies & other bandits. Take Clothes - Clothes can be taken from dead bodies. Anti-Hack - We have the latest anti-hack tools in place, you will never be bothered by hackers. More features are being added every week! It seems I spend all the time that I play DayZ, running. It seemingly takes forever to get anywhere in the game. And since I have a glitched spawn, I spawn in Solnichniy every time, making it at least 30 minutes of running before I even get anywhere.
