Anti tank RPG is actually in game absurdly rare barracks spawn, sadly it's only effective vs vehicles, focused charge won't blow up cluster of zed or players.

Once upon a time I found a UAZ (Red). It was my first vehicle ever and I was jizzing all over the place after I fixed the wheels, hull, and engine. While cruising through Polana I maneuvered to dodge some debris. I must have bumped it, (Dispite the lack of a banging noise) because my UAZ (Red) slowed to a stop almost instantly! Then I exploded. Another time, I was trying to get through Gorka with my newly acquired Old Hatchback... Green everything, but an orange Engine of course. I hit a fence with the hopes of knocking it over. But naturally my Hatchback merged with the fence, and promptly exploded. I totally understand this is an Alpha, and I'm not raging like a bitch... But damn, it's like their carrying landmines or something!

I am not an admin on the server but 1-2 days ago the server files were completely deleted by the hosting company so everyone lost their vehicles and tents. As for the ban, Fallout is a friend of the admin (so am I), it was an inside "joke" and a temporary ban, I was on the server when this happened and the admin even announced it over admin chat which you so conveniently did not decide to take a screenshot of. Also this ban happened at the beginning of this week, odd how you decided to post it after the server files were deleted by the hosting company and you lost all your shit instead of posting it right away. As for the locking of the server, the admin only does that if he needs to check if the server is running properly (it seems to have issues sometimes) at which point he will be the only player on the server or if you would have paid attention, isn't even running the dayz mod (but vanilla Arma2 maps like CTI) when locked with other ppl inside at which point dayz server rules do not apply. I see you are butthurt over loosing all your shit and you thought the admin did it, so you came here with a wall of text with half assed accusations, but everyone lost their shit on the server and it had nothing to do with the admin. Get over it.

Fallout is in his group snowflake ... Server resets were addressed already. Server running like shit isn't the "admin's" problem, it's the hosting and the massive amount of attention this game has gained Arma... You are showing no concrete proof of anything else you have "heard or seen personally". The server was locked a few times with just him in it to force it past briefing because everytime he had to restart players would just cockslam the server again trying to get back in. The server was also locked and set to the ARMORY in which he asked about 7 people to join it and blow the shit out of cherno to see if it was the server running like crap or dayz running like crap. Low and behold, there is nothing wrong with Arma. It's the massive amount of dudes that can't read the forums and connection spam / do shit that further harms the gameplay for the players and the server. IE singing/playing music in fucking global channel. I appreciate your massive amount of research and attention to detail before you decided to post this garbage on the forums. Here are some things to try in the future ... When seeing the locked server ... actually fucking check to see if it's running dayz mod or even states it in the freaking title. Also, when making pretty big claims of abuse ... please post more evidence to back it up besides a screen shot of him banning a dude who just launched an m136 over his groups head and knocking them all out in a clearing... /endwhiteknight No seriously ... admins pay money so they can support a game that you play for free. The game is in alpha, you are entitled to nothing. Stop being a special little snowflake and go find another server to smear. Please see that all your loot and vehicles find their way to my camp at your earliest convenience.

Yeah, it aint that rare and repairing vehicles needs to be hard to do.

Sync vehicle spawns? I think there IS a way. Or just like teleport the vehicles of a player to the server where he is...

Scrap metal is pretty rare in my opinion and there are many tin cans lying around so it would be nice if you could collect tin cans and craft scrap metal from them which you can use to repair vehicles.

Choose the top three things you desperately want to be fixed, and three things you really want added. My three bugs: 1. Log off exploits. 2. The various duping exploits. 3. Helicopter permanently leaking fuel bug. My three features: 1. Even more vehicles around! Respawning vehicles! Vehicles are fun. 2. Survival made far harder; environment effects and zombies ramped up. 3. More base building stuff.

I want to make a complaint about server EU 40, seems the admin/s are banning for several silly reasons, not to me personally as yet, but to other players. The worst I have witnessed so far has been "faggot" which I have documented in a picture below. I have also personally heard an admin be extremely abusive and rude over voice chat to new player called BRAD who used side voice chat by mistake, when BRAD asked him to not talk to him so rudely, the admin threatened to restart the server if he didn’t stop talking O.o. The past few days he has also been rebooting the server every 15 minutes it seems like, my group would have just left the server but we had gathered quite a collection of vehicles and supplies so were essentially tied there. However the server appeared to have been completely reset at some point so we lost several vehicles and collections of loot/supplies. Going to be using a new server from now on, I realise that constant restarts and even resets are not breaking the rules, they were just the straws that broke the camel’s back on a very poorly run server but I’m not here to raise restarts/resets as an issue, the issue I’m raising is the banning of players for personal reasons and abusive talk over voice chat. Since the server hosts have to apply to the Day Z staff to run a server in the first place, I do have to wonder if the application and review process is perhaps as thorough as it should be, clearly very immature and petty people are being granted powers they probably shouldn’t have access to. With the current state of hacking in the game (that’s even spread to the forum now) the last thing we need is rogue admins like this ruining the community. P.S should also note that he has been seen locking his server from time to time and playing with a small number of what I assume must be friends or clan members. I’m fairly sure that’s against the rules but I don’t have a screenshot of that, will grab one next time if I see it. EDIT: Adding a quick copy of the rules for easy reference. Vehicles (and tents and other stuff) have to stay local to the server. Imagine 100's of vehicles on 1 server? You'd be more at risk from getting run over than you would from zeds / bandits lol.

I'd like to see global Vehicles (like my inventory) in DayZ. It would allow players to have vehicles and dont worry about not getting the vehicle to drive because the server crashed or was shutdown forever.

Good post, thanks OP. In my opinion, what dayZ currently lacks, is some kind of "global quest". A quest where everybody can lend a helping hand, and a quest, that if completed, helps everyone survive longer. Currently you can repair helicopters, cars, boats etc. But for what reason? You're making a huge bandit magnet out of yourself and everyone you meet will shoot you, and you better shoot everyone you meet as well. The main problem with vehicles is that they are only for "egoistic" purposes (sure in the end everything is egoistic, but you know what I mean). There's no way you can help the people with vehicles. Once you got good enough weapons and vehicles, the game degenerates itself to: Shoot everybody on sight. I had an idea for a global quest that goes as follows: The power plant at elektro has severely been damaged due to no maintenance and bandits raiding the place, leaving all chernarus in the dark. It however can be repaired again. The items you need to repair it are scattered all across chernarus. Once half repaired, it will power the street lights of elektro, more advanced repairs will power cherno, then the surrounding villages until every village has electricity again. Electricity will drive zombies away from the city into the woods, making villages to safezones where people can meet and trade. Vehicles as helicopters would come in very handy as you could make stashes filled with repair and maintenance items throughout the land where the vehicles could pick them up and transport them to elektro. Bandits that live from the darkness, will try to prevent the whole process. They become organised bandits. The random shoot a guy on sight or steal that vehicle will occure less likely, as the guy in the vehicle might work for the greater good and in the end might help you. Why should you kill a guy that has a whole lof of repair items on him, they serve no purpose to you.

Was thinking, if we had some vehicles rolling (even trade with people to get them or donations etc it wouldn't be so hard to get people back). Also got me thinking, wouldn't a castle just be a good idea? It's heavily fortified, hard to almost impossible to assault, easy to lockdown. Biggest issue I see with this though is the coverage, lots of forests around 'em.

Tip: Play with other people via mumble/teamspeak. Raid tents/camps. Find and fix vehicles and then drive around causing mayhem. Roleplay, be a medic that runs around giving random people blood. (Very high death ratio but quite fun.) Not a personal recommendation but some find it entertaining: Kill survivors. Here's what I recommended IRT bear traps... "Bear traps (officially known as foothold traps) are metal devices that can be found around Deer Stands. They always spawn in a deployed position, meaning that they are ready to inflict damage upon anybody who steps into it. Bear traps deal damage equal to 30-50% of the player's current blood (simply getting caught in a bear trap should never kill the player, even if he is close to death - bleeding will kill the player just fine if the player is low on blood and/or passes out from blood loss). Players who step into a bear trap will always do the following: 1. Stand up with their leg clearly stuck in the trap. 2. Scream out in pain for about 3 seconds, and then begin to panic. (Shouting can attract nearby zombies) 3. Suffer from bleeding, broken bones, and intense pain requiring painkillers. 4. The player should automatically pull the trap apart and remove his leg from the trap, after which he will immediately lie down on the ground due to broken bones. A trap can be disabled by either throwing something into it (such as a tin can), shooting the pressure plate, or using a tool kit to silently disable it. The bottom line here is that if a tool kit is not used to disable the trap, the trap will make a signature SNAP sound that can alert the person who set it of nearby trespassers. Notes: 1. Zombies can get caught in bear traps as well. Zombies should remain stuck in the bear trap but not get killed by it. They should just stand there in an aggro stance, stuck in the trap, waiting for some player to come along and claim or reset the trap. 2. Sometimes, a bear trap will require scrap metal to repair it. In these cases, a tool kit is required to make repairs (just like repairing vehicles). 3. Bear traps take up just as much room in a backpack as scrap metal (3 slots). 4. Players who trap other players in bear traps will not get +1 to their Murders count from trap-related injuries. Their best bet is to watch the bear trap, listen for screaming, and move in to finish off the trapped player."

Agreed. The game was actually really good to begin with. Then all the carebears showed up and the forums were flooded with- Waaaahh wahhh! the night is too dark! Waaahhh wahhh! there are too many zombies!! Waaaahh wahhh! where are all the vehicles?!?! Now it's just all about PVP. The first weeks of the game were great, because surviving was actually a challenge. The night was actually something to be afraid of (flares had a purpose!). Now it's all just meh. Rocket, if you read this - f*ck the carebears. This is supposed to be the zombie apocalypse! BRING IT ON.

I was on the. Server also when they started spawning vehicles and messing with the time. It caused horrible lag and as soon as I complained in side channel about them screwing with the server I died instantly... I was in the middle of the woods. Server needs to be blacklisted. Yesterday they had a sub with a .50 Cal on it shooting everyone in Cherno...

Your stuff isn't lost. It's either a) at the last place it was saved, or b) it was eaten by the server. If your tents/vehicles were eaten by the server, they'll be back after a restart or two.

Looks like a bunch of butt hurt kids complaining about a server admin trying to get his server running properly. Admins can't spawn vehicles, and an admin wouldn't restart to help his group get loot, thats makes no sense.

Me and a few buddies were playing on TX 11 hosted by [email protected] and he would restart the server multiple times he said it was due to lag but failed to mention when he would be restarting server, after diconeccting everyone. My clan and I lost all our vehicles and gear when we questioned him about it HIS friends barraged us after we struck back at his friends he kicked us from the server.

Servers sometimes eat cars and vehicles when they crash/restart. Fortunately, they usually reappear after the next one or two restarts. Just save your tent every time you log and keep your fingers crossed. :P

Just got our server up, and its running great. Really appreciate the quick response and turn around. I've noticed there are no vehicles spawning though, we know where at least 4 confirmed vehicle spawns are on several servers and none of them had vehicles. Is there something I need to update or a server setting that needs to be modified? Thanks!

is a new adventure series I'm working on. The premise is simple, JasonGumbala and I have been on an incredibly lucky streak for the past few days and I've been lucky enough to have been frapsing throughout most of it. It started with myself stumbling upon a UAZ, and from there we have come across five camps, two ATVs, two hueys [fuel leaks :-/], five or six cars, and multiple high tier weapons. Sorry to the fellas who's camps we raided, but when you find one...you just can't even help it :angel:I will however edit out the exact locations of the camps because it's only fair we all come across these things on our own. We'll call it...gaming sportsmanship :P Enjoy! and feel free to ask questions or tell me I'm the worst player of all time...jokes on you though, I rule :P Episode I features initial finding of UAZ. The beginning of a great saga. Episode II features refueling and driving. Picking up my mate and some music I wrote :cool: Episode III features finding a Huey! Zed combat w/ fitting music, and finding a boat! Episode IV features the meaty part of the series where we start coming across multiple camps and vehicles. Even find another Huey.
