I don't like the idea of permanent storage. Nothing in this game should be permanent. Even vehicles are a little too permanent for my liking.

I would say the speed should be implemented as soon as the vehicles are fixed.

Welp having played shittons of ARMA (mostly warfare mode). I consider myself a tactician. Your plan is good, however, any 2 man group could take you down. It seems that u guys roll in WAY too obvious. It appears that you overuse the vehicles (unless u disembark in a heavily wooded forest FAR away), and rely on the fact that u have a chopper. A single sniper could easily end any hope of an exfil and could easily wipe out your squad. I have ahd plenty of times where my overwatch has failed and i have lost a good chopper team or friend (lol). Overall, your reliance on vehicles and snipers will be your death.

If you add in Skills that a player can learn- like from a found book on medicine or fixing vehicles- would make players themselves more valuable where a clan might not shoot the random player if say he will help them medicine or some other item/issue. All players would start the same but there would be ways to build some skill sets/focus which adds to a player being more valuable alive then dead.......but still keep an eye on them in case of backstabbing. But this will give players a chance to prove themselves to a group- build trust. Once people start building a social network then the ones who are just here for pking will end up being hunted down or they will embrace the new game mechanics that are geared to survival and society building/ social. Yes there will be groups who will fight for territory but that is what we see in the Show The Walking Dead and other shows/movies on this type of game. To prove my trust to people I meet, i offer items/food/ ammo and also allowing the person I'm with to call first dibs on weapons..etc....This usually calms them down and shows them I do have their back.

In-game? Yes I do. I joined a group that was suppose to be friendly oriented. When we got about 12 guys together officially our mentality towards the mod changed completely. We got killed by DC'ers. Had our vehicles stolen by freshies. Rival groups started popping up and revenge was in the air. Our friendly group turned into kill everyone you see. That unarmed player over there? He might be the one who is in the DDS clan and killed Bob last night. Kill him.

Every second I delay you from getting good gear and weapons on my home servers is good enough for me. Oh and you could have been that asshole who killed me before. That is why myself and the people I play with shoot everyone. Also if a group has a vehicle, unarmed players can steal a weapon from it or get in and drive away. We kill everyone in raids of cities not only because of the things above, but you can aggro zombies to us, steal our vehicles, steal our loot we are raiding for, or giveaway our position.

Def sounds like one of your wheels is messed up. Can you visually see any of the wheels looking messed up at all? I know I personally had a wheel go out on one of my vehicles, and it was doing the same thing you're describing. When I mouse scrolled over the vehicle I was not getting any of the tires in red or anything. I ended up having to pull out a flare (it was pitch black out) and looking for the damaged wheel.

Hey guys me and two friends have been at it for about a week straight, but inevitably things fall apart to the larger groups of bandits surrounding the more glorious loot locations (airfields)(cities) and vehicles. We are looking to take on mature age 20+(some exceptions) organized players who are looking at a long term group of 10-15+ players, who will work as a team and contribute to the group. Weekly ops are mandatory (focusing on rebuilding vehicles & managing supplies of ammo and high level weapons) with flexible hours. My livestream does not show or explain the hacking it just shows how the server got nuked and everyone on it started complaining that they just died. It shows someone using the hack and does not show what or how it was used. Im pretty sure if someone wanted to hack they can just google it and find it thats how I found out wtf happend to me countless times and the vehicles. Ive stopped playing certain games like counterstrike and apb due to hackers and have zero tolerance for it as should rocket. This is a major problem and needs to be adressed its bad enough that there are killer rocks , trees , ladders and whatnot I dont need hackers shooting at me with thermal scope .50 cal sniper rifles and mass nuking entire servers while stealing my vehicles its stupid. Why should I bother working my ass off for gear just to die to one of the mentioned ways to die. I dont remmeber the last time a friggin zombie killed me or a legitimate player got me it is annoying.

He didn't say you had to crawl, if you had morphine you could be up straight away, and crawling is an option, it doesn't take DAYS it takes about 20-30 minutes.

I've also noticed a few of our vehicles lost all their contents. They were near some untouched tents so I doubt someone robbed them. I think it's a bug.

Moaar, moaar. I have to admit, i do play the game like you do. Lone wolf, beginning in the western parts, looting everything, hiding, always wanting better gear, stealing and using vehicles from time to time and looking for players/tents but hardly finding anyone. And definitely not sure what to do IF i may look into a players eye. Tho' i am sometimes wildly shooting Zeds on the deer stands ... and immediately getting killed by players close by. So watch out, do your flare-thingy, don't get your bones broken.....and don't stop writing :). Was a good read, read it all. Now tired, nighttime.

We always make it a point to save our vehicles whenever we get in or out of them. This still occasionally happens to us though. Had a Mil-Offroad that we took out raiding one night. Hit the factory for parts, a hospital for med supplies and two crashed Helis where we pick up several bizons, an m107, and 2 NV-FALs. Next day after a server restart, all gear in the truck was gone. Other vehilces and tents nearby still had everything, just no gear in the offroad. Very sad panda...

NO. Only some cities worth looting. 99% of the is map useless. So NO. Make small town spawn some actual loot in front of non enterable buildings. Spawn shit load of vehicles in every town (ok not shit load, but 10x more than it is now) and then I may agree. Right now only NEAF and Cherno, Elektro, Sobors are worth looting. And I am NOT doing it on my legs. This game is flawed completely, so I WANT to know where I am to hit respawn till I am near Cherno

We had a hell of a lot of gear stored in tents and vehicles only to find everything had gone including the vehicles plus the tents had been flattend. After a server restart the vehicles turned up and the tents were back but only one vehicle had a couple of smoke nades in, watch, flashlight and one tent had tinned food, cooked meat and soda. All medical and weapons were gone.

From my experience it seems that if you save the vehicle before every server reser/crash. The gear within your vehicle is there. If a reset/crash happens and you haven't saved it, all the gear is gone. But the vehicle is still there. It seems that the vehicles will always remain where they are unless someone steals them or they are lost in a server/database glitch.

I don't know if it's worth it yet, I'll type it all out if anything continues to happen to continue to make me suspicious. Well, I would, though apparently I am no longer able to connect to the server, and keep getting kicked off. Basically it involved someone finding my campsite, me moving the remains to somewhere obscure, it being found again by the same people, me finding their site and watching it from afar, someone logging in and locking onto me as soon as they appeared, me moving back there and the same sudden login and death. I was watching the playerlist leading up to it out of curiosity to see if my suspicions would be confirmed. Now I can't connect I'm guessing they've decided to move their site. It's a relatively young server and has multiple copies of top-tier items, so either they've spent all day for the server's two weeks of existence farming and constantly hopping in to guard their camp (not impossible, since it seems to be restarted multiple times a day which would make heli crash farming pretty easy) or they're using third-party software. I only make this guess because I've been shown caps of hackers' maps which show the locations of all vehicles, players and tents, which would explain my gear being found easily by the same people over and over.

I have had this happen to my group as well a few times. It comes down to either you got raided and someone took the stuff, or it got wiped and was lost by the server somehow. Either way, the stuff is gone. Some would say it's Alpha, and don't get attached to your gear. I know personally we had a cars gear vanish but everything else in the camp was still present. No one took the vehicles or anything from our tents, just the one vehicle was empty. So it does happen. One thing that may help, not 100% sure but we do it anyway, is mouse scroll down on your vehicle and tent and use the "save" option often. But even then there is no guarantee you wont lose stuff.

Hey Danneh, haven't seen you in TS for a bit, what's the status on group vehicles?

This lol. Sounds funny though, I've never had my own car. Just 2 bikes and an ATV which is currently out of fuel in the middle of friggin' nowhere. (Yay -.-) Just a question - did you get near its top speed? Guess I reached about 90 speed with the ATV. How much have you (or any other car drivers in this thread) reach with your vehicles?

Here's my advices; 1: Barns. Look out for Lee Enfield or CZ550. The Lee Enfield is not actually a sniper, but can easily shoot an enemy on distance. 2: Military Establishments (Balota, Cherno, Stary or w/e) + Deer Stands. You'll perhaps find a nice CZ550, AKS-74 Cobra (AKS-74 with lasersight) or a DMR if lucky. Also try the NE or Balota airstrip. 3: Helicopter Crash Sites (Randomly found in open fields - I think it's easiest to find them north to the "equator" of the Chernarus map, especially near NW Airfield) - A heckload of zombies around them, but a heckload of loot. Medical supplies like painkillers and morphine makes you smile if you haven't raided a hospital yet. Usually has 1 or 2 FN Fal rifles, which oneshots zombies. Good chance to find a sniper like the DMR or the M24 - What people are really looking for at heli crash sites are the SVD sniper, so they usually let the DMR and M24 be if they see it. 4: North West Air Field (Between 50 and 200 zombies in total around this huge airfield, on crowded servers usually 5+ players, sometimes occupied by bandit organized GANGS/CLANS of 5-10 players with vehicles, NVG's and stuff, so WATCH OUT!) - Check the Barracks on the both sides of the airstrip. Heckloads of weapons (usually just AKM's and M4A1's, but the lucky people find M4A3 CCOG SD, NVG's, Mk48's and serious snipers like the M114, which kills a player in one shot no matter where hit.) #4 is the most dangerous area in Chernarus. I'd rather run around the center of Elektro or Cherno with a friggin hatchet, than loot this place alone - takes a heckload of time just to get up there from the coast, and its not fun to die as soon as you arrived, because some snipers has been camping there for 3 hours. Watch out, and don't get killed! :)

There are scripts to find vehicles. Admin's aren't some super good guys who wouldn't stoop that low, remember.
