No wasnt a server wipe, the vehicles were all damaged, nothing was gone from the tents as they must of taken what they could carry but it all came back on a server restart. Vehicle was gone and every other vehicles was shot up, wheels off, engine red etc... To happen to all 3 camps within a matter of hours when they have been untouched for weeks is obvious what has happened. The camp was on the west edge in the woods, another one up north in the middle of nowhere the closest thing on the map was probably the dam then another right in the NE corner. The number of people using hacks is outrageous all you have to do is go on some well known cheats website - theres more than a few and it tells you the amount of people browsing that forum, ive seen numbers like 5000 people browsing the arma 2 hacks forums section on a certain web site and theres more theres alot more than just 1 site. Theres more people browsing the hacking section on web sites than there are browsing this forum right now.

As far as the tents goes, that might be the nasty bug where after a restart it gets completely wiped. I've had this happen to my camp(s) too which were far apart, and well hidden. As for the vehicles though that sounds like someone found them :P Fix the fucking tents Rocket. -

200km? Is that really 200 meters? Cause just about anyone can find something not well spread apart. If you mean all across 1 server, then you are doing it wrong. Did you even stream a video? Show a photo to someone? Put up a youtube vid that showed you coming from a certain location? Piss off a clan? Sometimes I just run out into the woods and look for places where I would hide a camp, and usually I find it. Infact, some people call me the "Mole". Not really due to my ability to past ability to spy on corporations in Eve, or find "hidden" campsites in DayZ, but for the large amount of underground tunnels in used to make in CastleZ and Minecraft. For a person without a compass, watch or even a map, my navigation skills are both incredible and odd. And I'm just one of few. Most clans have atleast 1 person that hunts for tents. That person was probably on your server recently. 6 hours is a great time, and a clan could easily find all three camps, note them and then come back in a full raiding task group and sweep through all of them in a few hours, using possible stolen vehicles from that server (from your own camp) hitting each place in just a short period of time. I've done it. I know others have done it as well. And sometimes, it isn't a random person from some unknown clan... But one of your own members. -
Hey guys dave here. I want to start a new dayz group. we would be a scavging team a group of survivors although bandits are welcome. THE REQUIERMENTS #1 age must be between 12-16 (we can change this or make an aception). #2 must live in europe becouse of time issues #3 just so you know we do accept newbies. we wil try and equip you but our supplies are limted we will find your gear. XD #4 must have skype and a mic. i prefure to speak in skype rather than teamspeak. #5 as i have said above we do not mind if you are a bandit or a survivor. We do not accept betrayl what-so-ever! if you turn around and shoot your friend in the face. we will find you. Our team will begin when we have a few more players. we should meet up then go on our first raid. targting food drink, and yes. Tents. it will take us time to build our camp. becouse we have to consider conselement, accsesabilty, and protection. but we will most likly be in a forrest someweare. hidden by bushes. i aim to have few vehicles but they would be able to carry lots of the group. say 4 to a vehicle. thank you for reading. D. EDIT: our team: we have two great survivors who know the map like the back of there hands. I am happy to know them and for them to be apart of our team. we have a bandit who has joined up but we have yet to play with him. we also have another suvivore who is brilliant at looting, and a good team player. D. 2nd EDIT: thanks to you guys and your requests our team is getting better by the day. little bit of info: theres been no betrayles. unforchantly we have not come up with a base camp but are working towards that goal.

Hacks are back and rife again I wonder how many people are using those hacks where u can see every person, vehicle and tent on the map. Its alittle strange that my clans 3 camps which were West, North and North East on the map - had been there for over 5weeks and then all 3 of them are raided in the same day. Vehicles all shot up, the tents came back on a restart, 1 ATV was stolen no other vehicles. Using hacks i guess has hit its peak in this game and everyone is doing it, you might aswell to level the playing field. It sucks, game gets worse the more people that play it.

I just recently found a HUGE camp. It was completely fenced off with tanktraps, sandbags and barbed wire. Took me 30 minutes just to get to the center, where I found about 15-20 tents...filled to the brink with stuff. Me any my team took it all happily. Raided the camp twice....didn't get vehicles...but a lot of gear. Just a few: 2x M4 SD 2x M107 4x AS50 2x SVD 2x FAL ANPVS 2x FAL 2x M14 5x NVG 7x GPS 4x Antibiotics 5x Ghillie Suit 3x Camo Clothing At least 20 Coyote Backpacks (duping, anyone? We found out how they could've done it...not gonna tell you tho.) Plus a crapload of ammo, car parts and medical supplies. Of course, there's nothing left now. We used the almost countless amount of satchels in the camp to blow the whole thing up after we got everything we needed. It did reset all the tents and barricades on server restart tho...but nothing is left anymore. I'll see if I can make a video of it later

No, you are not allowed to disconnect during PvP. Report that player if you got the name so we can be rid of such douche kids. (this goes for alt f4 and just plain dc.) Also if I remember, you are not allowed to intetionally bug vehicles, that ruins it for the rest, obvious thinking. : ) And I've never seen people spawn in rocks, that must be some form of bug :P

In reply to Andy P 1. body armor- head armor - chest armor - shoulders and leg armor. The longer you play the more protection you get against player killers but at the expense of movement speed. If you get so lucky to find them. Each piece of armor you find has a -% reduction and can can add up with a full set. Would be too overpower for the people who gear up then go griefing new players. difference in opinion 2. More skins - a little more diversity so we don't accidently shoot one of our own when someone tries to blend into a group because everyone looks the same. Use teamspeak and get better communication. In a good squad members should be constantly relaying their positions so avoid confusion. I use vent, skype with my friends and would still like to see more diversity in player appearance. 3. Safe zone 100 meters around tents but only 1 tent can be the safe zone and it cant be in a city. tents cannot be interacted with by other players while you are next to your tent or log out next to it. Wtf no? That would be way too overpowered for storing items, the idea is that if you're not there you should constantly be wondering if your items have been stolen yet. it was just an idea... and possibly my worst one. 4. Shovels can be used for digging a hole to bury your items for long term storage. If your good at using a map it should be easy to refind. Too overpowered unless they show up obviously to other players. yes they would show up as a different shade of dirt. 5. limbs can be taken off zombies kinda like in dead space. and can only be 1 shot with a head shot. This would only work if teleporting was fixed. How would this be useful? If you change the mechanic of the zombies that they move slower but in larger packs, and they cant be killed unless with a head shot then it would be very useful if you blow a leg off. if they don't have arms they cant hit you. 6. Slow the rate that zombies can move but increase their numbers. I like the idea of more infected, I would rather die to not conserving my ammo and running out than dieing as the infected are too fast. Maybe once the pathfinding is fixed they could increase the numbers. 7. Fix the Z's animations so when your close range fighting with they dont jump around you like a vampire or neo would and dodge your bullets. Get better at shooting, it's not hard, just don't panic. Its not about panic. Because i'm really patient even when they are right in front of me. if you watch the zombie animation when they are right next to you and aim for the chest (with an axe especially) they seem to have a slideshow effect about them dancing around where you would like to actually hit. 8. When stuck in an animation like bandaging or throwing, it would be great to stop the animation so you can react to incoming gunfire or two zombies that appeared out of nowhere. I'll ignore this one, it didn't make much sence to me. if you notice when your throwing something you cant stop in between that action. you have to wait for the animation to go all the way through before you can complete another action. 9. If your throwing a gernaid, flare or tin can have a reticle on the screen so you can see generally where your going to throw it. Grenade* The rest of the point was ignored. thanks grammar police. throwing takes practice but its never quick or precise and it should be. 10.I agree that the sight aggro radius is a little unrealistic for a zombie. Instead of such a long sight aggro radius maybe you can add a different mechanic like smell. the longer you go without bathing the more zombies will be attrated to where your location is. They aren't zombies, they are infected. There is a slight difference, you can't call realisitics on how you think a zombie is. They aren't real to begin with. The infected only see right infront of them, avoid that area, the idea is that you don't walk infront of them, you wait for them to pass or kill them. I'm only thinking about every zombie movie i have ever watched. The undead never have had amazing vision. Unless you count the infection of i am legend, but those are a completely different monster. besides it was just and idea. and i changed the idea when i thought about it for a minute. 11.Restrict how quick a player can switch from server to server say you have to be in one server for at least 30 minutes before you can enter another one without a wait timer. the more you switch servers the longer the wait timer adds 5 mins for switching too quick 10 for another quick switch etc etc. you are still able to instantly connect to your original server. Once they patch out aborting in battle server hopping should be less effective. I don't think there would be an easy way to make it so you can't change servers as you're not connected to the same server and it might be a bit of a heavy load for the hive to process how long players have logged out for. yeah just a suggestion, and i don't understand the logistics behind it. 12.Thermal optics should never be allowed on a gun. From what i understand they were taken out but it might make sence for something like thermal sight that would take up several slots of your inventory much like what swat teams would use. Thermal optics and a large case takes up space. They are heavy and cumbersome but can be used really well to plan out an indoor attack. from personal experiance you have to keep them still and looking at one location for a few seconds before you get a picture of whats there. They are rare for a reason. 13.The ability to actually completly board up a building with wood and bars from scrap metal. Large groups of players can completly take over a part or an entire city. of course they could be retaken by using an axe to chop the wood off or just by shooting it. You seen what happens to Cherno and Electro when you give players the ability to build barriers. I guess if you could break into it with ease it would be ok but imagine every building that has a weapon in it being boarded up so you can never get the weapon you need to break the boards. yes you can only get in if you break the boards.. but you would see small community's forming in the middle of city's taking over and fortifying them. 14.Add a grouping option so you can choose to spawn near your team mate with a penalty to something like 50% blood for 5-10-15 mins, this effect might be similar to a deserter debuff on a mmorpg for leaving a pvp area. Spawn back into a gun fight? Sounds dumb, also the whole idea of the game is how much of a penality death is. Remove that and the thrill from the possibility of dieing is gone. it was just a suggestion. My brother and i had to walk 2 hours south to help a new player and by that time he had to leave. i'm people are split on this and how to effectively implement it so its not overpowered or unrealistic. might be a bad suggestion. 15. Why are broken down vehicles so rare? if you were in a city there should be tons of vehicles to repair. I would think it would be better to make them spawn more just completely broken down. They are hard to find because they are all repaired and hidden in the north end of the map. In the last 3 days my group has found about 6 vehicles. You just need to look in the right place. I would like if they made it so there were more vehicles and they had a limited use so that people stop hording them and collecting all the vehicles in the map. I have found vehicles and know where to look. But it is a suggestion, why not add more? Limited use would work too if they were plentiful enough. 16. Rare spawn shovels can be used for digging holes so you can either use it for cover while defending a position or to bury your items. Shovels would be bad. Your opinion 17. TRAPS and LOTS of VARIETY!!! Put a car in a field outside electro and watch it with a sniper, that's a good trap. That's not a trap that's an ambush. Traps are really for when you aren't around and want to defend an important location I.E. a tent or a vehicle. Bear traps are a good start. Shovels to dig holes and place sharp sticks into. Claymore mines with trip wires. maybe even go as far as finding left over ordnance you can combine with blasting wire and a watch to create and ied. TRAPS! Think of it as some crafting and this kinda stuff would happen IRL.

It says DirecX 9 is up to date. Also I've tried running the games as administrator, and with compatability check. Still got the same problem. [FIXED]I've found some new oddities, though. Seem to be missing some files, tho. Can't run regular Arma missions, and when running Showcase 1: US Army, all US Army vehicles are missing - except the A10 for some reason... But when validating the installs through steam, it says everything is fine. *pulling hairs out of my head* [/FIXED] FIX: Disable DayZ and you can play regular Arma 2 just fine. Only weird thing is that I could play regular Arma 2 just fine with DayZ enabled before... Validating one more time with the new (but still failing) settings, just to make sure. -

Yes, because in a real zombie apocalypse, individuals would only set up 1 tent and if they set up more, they will be struck by God and instantly killed. Should tents be removed from the game entirely or some useless thing like "1 tent/individual", people would start using vehicles as storage more than they do at the moment. What will happen then? You will start complaining about that. "Uuuuh, yea they got 1 tent filled with gear and 2 urals filled with stuff too, its unfair advantages, the vehicles needs to be removed!" This whole thing is ridicilous, where does it end? Really? -

First of thanks for the fast answer! Now you have to know my english is really bad so I'm askin you a few things about what you said/wrote to me. What you said means It doesn't exist 5 buses for example. It just mean it can spawn in Kazlovka as like in Cherno or Elektro, so it's random if you understand what I mean. Do you have a tip how I'm able to get the vehicles sooner than other people? Greeeeeets -
Hey, Been playing Dayz a while now solo and it's getting a bit boring (not to mention dangerous in the more high traffic areas) so I'm looking for a group or clan to join. More interested in looting/scavenging than the PVP aspect, though I can handle myself if bandits attack, and I'd like to start working towards getting some of the bigger vehicles and actually setting up camps (only vehicle I've managed to get working so far is the quad, and we all know how easily that thing flips over). I'm 21 years old, mature, have a working mic and skype (although I can easily get teamspeak/mumble etc. if that's what your group uses). Looking for a permenant group, I useually play any time during the afternoon through till night. Any groups in the EU looking for people feel free to post here or contact on steam (Noob-Joe) or skype (Nedra_Eoj). Thanks for reading. Joe

You have the privilege to test an alpha version of a mod. This is not a game. You are not a player. You are a tester. You have volunteered your services to help improve the alpha build. Bear traps are there to test their usefulness in the final version of the mod (not game). Tents and vehicles wiping or resetting moving are a glitch in the alpha version of the mod. Camo clothing is an item in the alpha build of the mod which may or may not be fixed, depending on what the modder wants you to test next. Duplicating things is the work of hackers. The modder is trying to get the basic mechanics of the alpha build of the mod down before he focuses on making it unhackable. Disconnecting or Desyncing is a bug in the alpha build of this mod. They will get to it when they get to it. Zombie aggro is adjusted and readjusted very often to see what is an optimal range. You know why? Because it is the alpha build of a mod. Stop whining about an incomplete mod that you didn't even pay for. You have the privilege to test a mod that has great potential and amazing atmosphere. If you don't like it, don't test. Get some frozen yogurt or something and calm the hell down you lunatic!

Think rocket has mentioned bag size a few times aswell, he said that having limited bag space forces you to make decisions since you can't take everything, you want that extra mag for your weapon but you also need food, or should you bring that extra box of painkillers? With tents you've already gained alot of extra space to store whatever ( even though tents eat my shit up all the time ) Same goes for vehicles, also you can also barely find those since they're always hoarded somewhere. And i think you can carry alot of items on you as it is.

Ok I now have 7 vehicles (Ural, 2x ATV, UAZ, Bus, Old Hatchback and a GAZ (Red), yes i know, i've been coming across camps lol) and they don't seem to "dissapear" anymore, it's just that after every server restart the vehicles dissapear from the map and I have to wait for another restart to get the vehicles back in it's position. I'm not sure if this ALWAYS happens but it surely happens after every restart for me and my group. Does anyone of you have any clue why?

@Trowa Thanks for your help but I think the ATV is already taken. :D It seems you know much about DayZ so can I ask you and the Forum a Question? .. Why I'm asking.. nevermind... My question is: Do you know why the Server have just some cars? Because I found just a few cars like this ATV. But I never found another cars and the DayZ Map says there are much more vehicles. So if anyone know about that, please answer in this forum It has been a head scratcher for me since i play DayZ. :D Greets -

Howdy! Just a quick note about being a pirate... First off, it's AWESOME! Fantastic group of people, from all walks of life from all over the world. There's nothing quite like running around with a group of 15 people, stealing some vehicles then convoying around the map. Running over cows. And goats. Fancy a small skirmish? No problem! There's always a few people up for raiding - whether this be hostile camps, military loot spawns, or even just a trek through the wilderness.
