We're coming back for you tonight!!!!! We had an epic game last night and found a clans ammo dump, tents, vehicles and loads of other kit. We pinched a lot of their gear, but my machine kept quitting and they took it back. But we're coming back for you tonight, so be warned. And this time we're bringing backup!!! It's war!

ok so i have been watching streams of choppers and it makes me wonder. once the servers chopper(s) are taken there is not much point any more for the lone wolf or even upstarting group of survivors to go crash site hunting, get a vehicle or set up camp. crash sites are found and looted by the chopper crew within minutes. camps and hidden vehicles are insanely easy to find now due to ground vegitation not being rendered at long distance. i understand that choppers are fun and all but i personally think it has a negative overall effect on the game.

When I ordered my server from Vilayer, they informed us that since the instance id was 6000 or higher, it would be a couple of days before vehicles showed up and were added in by rocket and co. It took 2 days, and then I logged on one morning and found an ATV, got on teamspeak and was like "FOUND THEMMMMMMMM" :P

A fixed amount of fuel/server would lead to intensive server-hopping to rob another servers fuel. But i would appreciate more driveable vehicles and more rare vehicle-parts. Maybe a chance of breaking vehicle-parts due to use, so you have to repair your vehicle from time to time. And I suppose to switch the topic to the suggestions-section.

Hey op. Try to raid some camps on the northern/northeastern part of the map, where people hide they vehicles... Went there yesterday with mates on a german server...found tent city and a car park...:) Try to do it on a busy server(more people playing-bigger cahnce to find their camps), but be avare those guys with top tier stuff usually guard their camps. :D

Traitor. Bandit. Dick. This guy decided to blow up our vehicles and destroy our tents, even though he's been playing with this clan since the start. Not like he was an asset to the team or anything, all he did was give orders like he was some glorified dickwad. Just goes to show you can't trust anybody. Especially people from Denmark. This thread is also a warning to anybody that has a player named 'Zarfir' wanting to join.

I run my own server and I have no way of knowing really. We just got our vehicles turned on since it's a newer server and we've seen quite a few honestly. I can think of 6 ATVs alone.

To tent or not to tent that is the question. The answer is to tent. Most people don't have vehicles so the vehicle storage option is not useful. Also, unless you are parking your vehicle way off map then someone will likely stumble onto it and drive off with all your gear. Sometimes tents don't work. Not always sure of the variables as to why. For instance I set up a tent last night and put some items in it and saved it and today the tent is there but the items are gone. Could have been someone stole them. Could have been the server lost them. Could have been I was de-synced at the time and the items weren't saved. So what is the answer? If you put stuff in a tent there is a chance you will lose it. If you don't put stuff in a tent then you will either never pick it up in the first place or eventually someone will shoot you and you will lose it. Tents are a chance to lose. No tents are guaranteed to lose. Vehicles can be blown up, stolen, pilfered, run into trees, moved to an unknown location, etc. etc. If I were you I'd go with the tent. Find a nice out of the way place to put it and store a few things you might need later after you die. All this said, there is no way I would trade for a freakin' tent. They aren't too rare and can be found in many civilian and residential buildings. The items you offer are also common and not worth risking your neck for. If I'm going to trade with someone it's going to be for something big to make it worth bringing my crew along with me for back up. You go into a trade for a stupid tent you are just begging to get murdered. Thems the hard facts brother.

I usually only play on American servers. And I try to report the stuff everytime it happens. It is just getting to the point that whenever I make progress I usually die to a hacker. I havn't seen any hacked items or vehicles yet. But I have been teleported and dropped to die, teleported and shot to death. nuked when i was in cherno. everyone in the server I was in earlier had their legs broken first. then shot. It is just irritating.

No worries, chances are you won't have to worry about me killing you seeing as I doubt you have been as far as Zelengorsk. Also nice rebuttal there, first you have no comeback so you try to call me a CoD babby, then you go on and try to say you think your way to play DayZed is better than mine. Which is completely opinion but I guess you live in a world where if you don't get your way you cry and scream and call all those around you "little kids". Sound familiar? If you want to kill zombies all day and sit in cherno and horde c-tier loot, be my guest. But don't call me a CoD babby just because I enjoy killing something that isn't controlled by AI. As I said in all my posts. Me and my friends have fixed up vehicles and have all the loot we could ever possibly want. I have given solutions to the problem at hand, which is there is too much killing of players for a survival game (though I think killing the players is a part of the survival, one less person to worry about but hey according to you I am a 15 year old with no brain cells). If rocket adds more support for clan vs clan warfare, I will be the first one to support it. But until then if you happen to crawl off the coast expect to get shot at.

same as me. i use LA85 with termo to scan...expecially @ nite. once i find someone i switch to DMR and NVgoogles.... LA85 is also helpfull if you are looking for some meat.... talking about LA85 i think is not so accurate .... his most advantage is the thermo... AS50 is good againt vehicles.. but @ nite you can see anithing unless you launch a flare... but in this case you are loosing your advantege... be snake man....

I'm curious as to where all these hackers are... Are most of them on the US server perhaps? I mean, me and my group have only encountered a few hacked vehicles and items, but nothing major really. The only major thing I've seem was the Battle Camp thing in NW airfield... That was quite dodgy.

do vehicles spawn as soon as the prior spawned ones are gone or do they spawn randomly at those known places?

so you have a tractor? hmm ive lost a few vehicles from server restarts, you might find one of them on your travels, feck knows where they end up lol

You don't need range finders if you can do the math. Back to topic: This weapons are the most powerfull weapons in the game. The Sniper Rifle kills everything with one shot and has the strongest scope ingame. The L85a2 hat not only night vision but also thermal vision. Even if some players said it doesn't has thermal vision... this is wrong. A friend of mine found one on saturday. Just push "N"-Key a few time in sniper mode an switch between night vision and thermal vision. So... you can spot everything - even if it's a mile away, sitting behind a bush(even vehicles). And you can shoot everything, since the AS50 has the biggest scope, the biggest range and the biggest damage ig.

Haku may be a nice guy but im not....... Your a shitbag. People spend weeks somtimes collecting gear and vehicles only to have all those hours wasted by a loser copy pasting scripts that kill everyone with a keystroke. Please by all means buy another copy. Bis likes $, and it will make A3 even better. If you could'nt compete before without hacks why do you think you could now? You're only sorry because you got caught. You assholes are all the same. You have made it so I cant enjoy Dayz right now, and that is exactly what the hackers want. Thats ok though. Battle Eye bans in waves and every time it does I can feed off the misery of the douchebags that get caught and wash it down with their tears. What pisses me off the most is this.... Dean is just a cool guy. He isnt some big gaming company that is just trying to make money. He is a gamer/modder that spends so much time trying to make Dayz perfect for "US". He is active and respondant on these forums. He takes time to answer every stupid question. He repeats himself Adnauseum for retards (usually nicely). He ask the community for suggestions on every aspect. He is the only developer I know that gives a shit what "YOU" think. And scumbags like you just shit on him...... I really believe that a project like this is revoloutionary to gaming. If it is successful it could very well change how games are made. If it is successful all the gaming companies will take notice and the landscape will change allowing more intelligent games back into a marketspace that is flooding with "casual" and "arcade" games. Most vehicles aren't hidden that far out of the way. But you won't find any if you're one of those morons who runs on ROADS completely visible to everyone. RE: your idea though I do think it'd be cool to have a crafting system for in-game items as well. Not just as an end in itself, but also to (if made correctly) create more incentives for trade and socialization (assuming base building allows relatively safe havens for strangers to interact). Say I train a skill to make gunpowder, you train a skill to make bullets, and some other guy makes meds. Well you might make gunpowder and trade with the bulletsmith who pays you with meds (who he gets from the doc for finished ammo). Sure some players may try to train ALL skills, but life is short in Chernarus, and death starts you back at zero.

I have a server of my own and some times there times you need to test the patch first before opening to the public i.e. We updated our server last night and when we all rejoined our bus turned into a bike and our boat turned into a atv? we where like WTF but because every one was already using the new vehicles we left it the way it was, now if we tested the server first we could of found out there was an issue but we did not and lost allot of crap :( My point is I think it is OK to lock your server to test the new up date but yes locking it for over a day and having 5 people on there is a bit fishy.

I don't quite get how they knew it was you, though. I'm assuming this was on a regular server, but if so, does it show nameplates of people inside vehicles? Still, total dick move on the part of the admins.

meh just for fair warning i believe atleast one of them uses scripts to find vehicles thats why we left the server, any vehicle no matter where placed or hidden was gone within 3 hours of one of us logging off.

Agree with OP, You can't really search for vehicles in this game, the vehicle searches you. I'm not gonna run outside the skirts of the map cause some retard (yes a retard) took it there, seriously not gonna waste 2-3 hours walking at a random direction like a twat. I've given up on finding them, I've set my mind to when I find one I'II find one cuz when someone find it they drive it off the the corner of the map and I find it just annoying, especially when it is so rare. I wish you could repair the vehicles on the road with the proper tools and parts. Would be much more fun to make your own car. Better parts -> better performance. And to do them you will need a blueprint, a place/factory to make them, parts and other stuff. But I'II stick to the thread. I wish vehicles didnt spawn, but rather made and aquired. Having cars spawn everywhere more often wouldnt make the game better, would just be more vehicle hoarding. I've found some cars hidden close to towns or in big forests in the center wich I find funny and refreshing but borderline parking em on the map.. I hope your PC malfunctions and ur to poor to get a new one.

hey there^^... i was lonewolfing arround to this point. it was a nice time and it was fun but i want more, like vehicles, not scared of death and stuff like this^^...im arround the nothern airfield atm and i rly like teamplay (im a veteran AND big fan of "project reality" for bf2) uhm... yeah stuff about me: im german so my english isnt perfect but i can yell pretty loud so you will understand me :lol: (deutsche gruppen sind natürlich auch sehr wünschenswert^^) im 18 years old, MALE! :D and atm unemployed so i do have the time to play until i can find a job :D other games (more important to me = first): (DayZ) League of Legends Battlefield 3 Skyrim Css Cod:MW3 my gear atm (thats not everything ;)... just savty first ^_^ ): Main Weapon (2) + Ammo (each more > 4) Revolver + Mags (4) Water Bottle Food Cans (2) Map (2) Compas Watch Hunting Knife (2) Hatchet Matchmaker Binoculars Tent Blood Bag (2) so i wont suck on ur resuplys, but i can give some of my stuff away for a new guy in the group (or someone who died etc.) (2nd weapon, a map and a hunting knife) i just dont have any bandages on me. what do u need to get me ;) : a group with more then 3 members (actual members not planned members, not atm not playing etc.) everybody has a mic and can talk without rustle etc. u do have a place outside of DayZ to talk (ts3 server, skype etc.) u dont take the game to serious but u rnt fooling arround the whole time (sometimes a joke is good but 24/7 runing arround in circles is bullshit :3) u rnt new in this game and u do have some weapons (best military ;) ), resuplys, health stuff (heal packages, painkiller, morphine etc.), ammo, map(s) etc. and the best would be if u r near the north airfield... if not, i guess we can find us ;D thanks for reading and im looking forward to hear from u <3 kaitokid Contact: Easiest way: Skype (umbralya) if u dont have skype or whatever just pm me with an ts ip or with ur questions or whatever :3... Why thank you sir. I appreciate the support I can honestly say I have no clue what the ratio of vehicles are for servers. We found 2 Urals a Bus and the VS3.

He said he wanted to fucking drive, then why not try the core game? It's not that hard to spawn yourself a vehicle and drive it around. No need to come whining here, vehicles are not supposed to be found around every corner in this game.

Here is a good way to promote teamwork and less paranoia, radios should be implemented, and could be recieved from up to 4km away, and there should be megaphones that, when equipped, can make your voice travel clearly up to 500m. Having to get RIGHT up on someone before being able to announce you are friendly contributes to killing and paranoia. If you can tell people in a large area you are there and want to meet up, it helps. Military land vehicles and the Huey should also have loudspeakers so you can do long range communication, imagine. A huey flies over and its loudspeaker shouts "We have a group/camp at place A, come to place X and we can do thing Y".
