I think we should be able to light buildings and vehicles on fire.

So our story begins with a new-ish player. On the shores near Kamenka, he's played a fair bit, but never survived more than a day at a time. With his illegitimate map in hand, our player seeks out the deer stands nearby, acquiring an AK-74, with plenty of ammo, he proceeds to Cherno, passing through towns with little contact besides the occasional kamikaze zed. Upon reaching Cherno, the player is cautious, this is where he has died, and seen many others die before. Hours of sneaking and carefull looting pays off, a few dead bodies from a by-gone bandit raid yield a ALICE backpack, second biggest in the game, food, water, and all needed equipment to survive.. Our player immediatly runs for the hills so happy and overjoyed to have acquired all these items, and equipment, his constant deaths were finally paying off. Testing his pistol and Ak against the hordes of zeds, the player feels distinct satisfaction in himself. There is only one place left which contains the items harbouring even more achievement than the ones he wields, the famed NW Airfield. With every inch a possible death spot from bandit snipers, and holding the most valuable items in the game, this, is where the real story begins. There are many problems however. Our player has only ever been to the airfield once, and that once he died from a single zed sneaking up on him and knocking him uncouncsious. The player is exceptionally far from the airfield, walking would take too long in the players mind. He needed a vehicle. He searches the entire span of the south east coast, yielding not one vehicle, one last spawn worth looking at, is further inland, toward the airfield itself anyway. He pushes on towards the small town of Dolina. On the approach the player notices a foreign object against the familiar pallete of the hillsides, could it be? A crashed helicopter? The possibility of great weapons, and if he's lucky, some NV Goggles, focuses the player. Crouch walking slowly, checking the hills with the binoculars, he reaches the helicopter. Scanning the ground, nothing seems to be here, it's just same old grass and dirt. Our player Crouches yet again, closely inspecting the ground, he find a pile of tin cans... and another pile of items. This one, makes the adrenalin drop. Within this pile there is a FN FAL with mag, and.. Night Vision Goggles. Quickly re-organising his backpack in the excitement to make room for his new weapon, and blinding himself with the new NV Goggles, he checks around the helicopter on last time before proceeding to find the pickup truck inside a shed in Dolina. While checking, a all too familiar gunshot sounds from the hills. A sniper, high powered. AS50 or M107, "I can't lose all this, NO I'm not going to lose these. I've worked TOO hard for them." He sprints for the nearest tree, hearing the panicked shots fly past him. Taking cover, he scans the treeline in search of his opponent. Unable to locate him, the player runs out, cirlcing around the thought position of the sniper, keeping in cover at all time. Coming in behind the though position, there is nothing, not even flattened grass, a telltale sign of a sniper spot. Our player checks the area over and over, having a sniper this early on would be brilliant, but there was nothing. Whoever this person was, they must of either run out of ammo, or been very cowardly. Our player reaches the shed with ease, no suprise to the players pessimism, there is no pick-up truck, and he wonders if all the vehicles have been nicked already or been removed altogether by accident, he had not seen one useable vehicle, or anyone else using them. Our player dismisses the search for a vehicle, and heads straight for the airfield. The navigation takes time, and a little skill to dodge all the towns with unwanted, lowly items with their zeds. It takes about an hour from Dolina to reach the airfield, sprinting continuously. Oppraoching the infamous airfield, the player watches every sniper spot possible, he heads to the south east barracks the heart rate is rising, focus is narrowing. THe barracks contain only a M1014, useless to the player. He needs a long ranged weapon. He scavenges out the ammo, dissapointed from the first barracks, but there are still all the hangars, the ATC and the final barracks to check. He crosses over the airfield, attracting zeds with his crue chortcut, he takes them down, but the risk wasn't necessary, nor the ammo lost. Nontheless, he recouperates it within the hangers he passes through, and the ATC he checks. Still no long range weapons, just G17 and other ammo. "Last chance", the player drones over in his head, the other barracks to the northern end of the airfield. Many zeds get in the way, but our player makes it easily, preparing to head south-east to Starry Sobor, the only other high yield area. COutiously entering the building, the player discovers and M14 AIM, a M4A3 CCO and a M4A1 CCO SD. If our player was overjoyed and happy before, you can imagine, just how filled with delight and happiness he was upon acquiring these. It too much time to settle which ones to take, and which ones to leave behind for other players. He finally decideds to leave the FN FAL, AK74 and the M4A1 CCO SD, taking the M4A3 CCO and the M14 AIM. He had seen many DMR mags, and the M14 would make good use of them. 5 clips of STANAG ammunition, and 6 mags for his G17 the player is well equipped. Pondering what to do next, he hears gunshots far away, not directed at him, he hits the floor anyway. Listening intently to locate them. Sounds like it's coming from the southern barracks, the ones he just came from. The player, eager to seek vengeance against the many bandit-inflicted deaths, heads out on a hunt. Upon leaving the barracks the player has a better angle on the airfield, and the previous fog has cleared. It is now clear to see, another crashed helicopter site on the far airstrip. He had not noticed it before because he was focusing so much on the barracks and evading zeds, cursing his own un-observation, he heads out immediatly for the helipcopter. SLowly, staying low, last thing he wants now is to get headshotted by the very person he intends on hunting. Upon getting closer to the heli, 2 players come into sight, looting the heli already. Our player ponders if he could join them, but they wouldn't be able to hear him from this far away. Just incase they aren't friendly, he prones his way closer, slowly. About half of the distance is closed, when another sniper shot echoes across the airfield, again, high powered, but different sound, not the same from before. There is another player running like a maniac away from the site, he has a weapon in his hands, I recognise it as the Bison SD. The player stays prone, watching on... If our player doesn't shoot this guy now, he will go into the ATC behind us, exactly the opposite direction of the sniper fire. He decides it's too risky to have an unknown person with a weapon above him. Sniper fire still coming, he decides quickly to sit up and take this guy down, the player is confident the sniper is on the other side of the helicopter, giving him cover. He fires at the maniac with the Bison, 3 shots, and he's down on the ground, getting eaten by the zombies he attracted. The sniper fire continues, the next shots are aimed at our player, and he can hear how close they come to hitting him as he hits the grass and dirt again. The sniper fire stops when he does this, a sign he was indeed the next target. He cautiously proceeds over the body, checking it out, as suspected, a bizon SD. But wait, he has no murder counted, meaning his shots must have missed, and the sniper had killed the running maniac. There is nothing on the body of use, so he proceeds to the heli. Another dead body here, must of been the manic's friend. Nothing on him either, just blood packs. There is nothing else near the chopper, only mags for guns he didn't care about. Gunshots in the distance confirm the sniper guy is still about, shooting down zeds with his pistol probably. The player decides to pursue him, looping around back to the barracks he first visited. Sneaking through the trees and bushed, our player again is very cautious, constantly checking around him. ENtering the small group of buildings, THere is a dead body at the gate outside the barracks, holding a weapon, looked like a nice weapon, not big enough to be a sniper, but something interesting. Zeds are in the way, but are quickly dispatched with headshots from our player's G17. THe gun is indeed a nice one, a FN FAL AN/PVS-4. Classified as extremely rare, used to finding these now, our player reluctantly swaps out the M14 AIm for the FAL, wishing he had kept the FAL mag from earlier. Our player checks the barracks he had visited before, they are barren, completely empty, none of the mags he had left behind were there, the sniper must have passed through. Just as this passes through our players mind, gunshots from a high powered gun are heard from the hanger area, yet again, looping back our player pursues with more urgency, running across the airfield brielfy before crouch running and finally proning once again across it. GUnshots are still being fired, and.. yep! There's the sniper in the ATC, staring down at something, must be re-organising weapons, or looting. He's too far away for the M4A3, and the FN FAL is only good at night time because of it's scope, so the player proceed to get closer, watching his every move. No ghillie suit though, too far to see what weapon he's holding. A slow and steady prone-ing takes our player up to the sniper, the sniper is running about the hangars now, clumsily, not what our player expected, must be inexperienced. The sniper attracts many zeds to himself while he blunders about the hangars, estimating his speed, our player positions himself in just the right spot as he enters the hanger, when he goes to the adjacent looting spot, he will be lined up perfectly in our players optics. The Sniper sure enough runs across, and stops to loot the pile. A small hesitation to line up the dot with the Snipers head, and 3 shots later, our player has their first murder. Feeling satisfyed, he strolls across, gunning down all the zeds coming at him, then loots the body expecting to see a CZ550 atleast, the snapping sound when he shot at the zombies must have meant he was using a sniper. Upon opening up the gear, and looking at it, our player's sense of achievemnt and vengeance is suddenly gone, the alleged "sniper" was carrying only a M4A1 CCO and a G17 among the general supplies. he had just shot and killed someone completely innocent, that was why this person was blundering about, he must have just gotten his first good gun and was excited fo use it. Our player looks at the ammo, and sure enough there are two mags that are nearly empty, spontaneous reloading. Our player analyses the body and finds his name was Harry. He apoligises to Harry, then heads out of the airfield to a nearby forest, feeling terrible for killing this innocent person. "We could have teamed up... we could have been friends..." He kills a wandering cow in the forest guts and cooks it, refilling his health that was lost from fighting all the zeds. "Why did I shoot him... why didn't I take a closer look at his gun..." Seeing how much immersed into the game the player was, he disconnects, feeling solemn and regretfull of his first murder, "At least it was a headshot..." For the next couple of hours he thinks very intently about it, deciding he might make a post on the forums about Harry, and how sorry he was. But decides to go down to Cherno before he'll wrap things up, it would be good to test out the Night Vision goggles for the first time anyway. He scrolls through the server list looking for a server jam-packed, they always have the most bandits skulking about in Cherno. He finds one, about 47 players. Joins. Waits.. The familiar fade-in of the atmosphere and the army-style text fadein/out remind him of his adventure before. He checks over his inventory, looking for a can of soda to drink. He notices however, that his FN FAL AN/PVS-4 is missing. Panic sets in, "Was it hacked? HOW IS THAT FAIR?" Something isn't right, and he knows it. Just as he goes to disconnect, thinking it's a dodgy server, he is teleported to the top of a hill, and in the confusion, is instantly killed by a group of people hacking. The never ending stream of sniper fire gave it away. Everything is lost, all of his items and equipment are gone. He leaves frantically, hoping it won't be saved to the hive, "It was a fucked up server, I'll still have my stuff..." He returns to the server he found it all on, waits... "SELECT YOUR GENDER" ROCKET, PLEASE SMASH THESE ASSHOLES INTO THE SHITTIEST, MOST DISGUSTING AND REPULSIVE HOLE AND THE BURN THEM ALIVE. CHEESE GRATE THEIR FEET AND DROP THEM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DEAD SEA. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So yeah, thats my story. I'm really sorry Harry, wish i hadn't killed you, hope your doing alright. Thanks for reading. Nero//

We got a group called The Anti-Bandits you could join. Our only policy is that you do not shoot people without due cause. Sadly, we are still recovering from a lost war on us958. So we won't have access to many vehicles until we get ourselves back together. ( They ambushed us, we stole their truck in return, they followed the truck back and destroyed our basecamp, we took a boat and raided there island, elektro firefight, pussy combat logging and heading back to us in a chopper, only to run back into their base, which we fell for cuz it was a trap :(). Long story short anyway lol. Check the link below if interested. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/TAB-DayZ

I've never had to save a vehicle more than once to get it to stay, but I WILL say that some servers eat vehicles after restarts. Our group had our bus eaten on one of our two home servers after a restart. Short story: Don't get attached to things :P

In the end, it may make gameplay evolve quicker with tents duping; yet people camp loot spots to collect loot. Camp a chopper crash site for a while and you can get a truckload of top shelf loot at little risk, and you can do it faster than someone waiting for a tent to dupe. Yes it will be good when tents are fixed, but it is not hurting the game that bad. Hackers are a larger impact in gameplay in a negative way than duping tents. Also the groups that just collect multible vehicles, yet move or drive them very little, they dampen gameplay more than duping tents. I wish vehicles would respawn after 3 days of non use. I mean really, if a big group of players are not driving a vehicle in a 3 day time period. they do not need it in the first place. We need more vehicles moving around the map, we need more vehicle chases in the game. As well as the ability to mount guns on some, a way to take out a chasing chopper. I know many may see it different, this is just my 2 cents.

You have to save it like 200 times. My group lost 4 vehicles today cause one of our members didn't fucking save them. Hide them in a place that only you can find and save them a bunch.

DE10 - Server Thread <(^-^<) <(^-^)> (>^-^)>
Corvax (DayZ) replied to caspar's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
It should always be so that if vehicles is not there, tents are gone aswell.. if tents are there, its very likely that your vehicles have either been stolen or warped back to a previous saving point -
Tents used to stay 6 days, but it seems like they stay damned near forever now. But as Skill said, no they will not be moved between servers. That just keeps them from de-spawning as ambient crap on the map. ALWAYS make sure to save your vehicles and tent before you leave them though, period.

THREE GHILLIE SUITS FOR TRADE HERE! (Safe trading, post your offers.)
aussiestig replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Omega-6, You mean the group that has several hackers in it that use hacks to find players, vehicles and several other things, and also ban people from their sever when you guys get killed? Why would anyone want to join that? -
So, I realize that BattlEye is being weird about kicking people in the vehicles. My question is, where do the vehicles go when the driver is kicked? Does it go back to the spawn, or the last saved? Does this happen immediately, or on the next restart?

Start an online/LAN match and select the 08 Coop mission on Chernarus... It randomly selects a bunch of planes, heli's, weapons and vehicles for you to mess around with. Quite a lot of fun with a few friends. Also great way to test things out that are hard to get in DayZ such as heli's and high end weapons.
-
Start a MP game LAN. Select Cherno as the map and Super Powers as the mission. When you get in the match vote for the AI as the commander, unless you want to try that yourself. Best to do the tuts first. I didn't even know this element existed in Arma. Reminds me a great deal of the first time I played the BF1942 demo being dropped in El Alamein and not really knowing what to do while seeing all this stuff going on around you, but on a much grander scale. Awesome way to pass the time. Create your own squad, give them orders. Buy weapons, vehicles, or aircraft if you've captured an airbase. Set up how many cities you have to capture to win, or find their HQ and destroy it, preferably in an A-10. Cool stuff.

Duping needs to be fixed, BUT.......
Kerwyn replied to Strawcrow's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I can definitely agree with the more/altered respawn on vehicles thing but it's a very thin line between having too few, and having too many, I've been wandering the map for nearly 20 days alive now, I have seen exactly one bicycle, as it shot by me in the hands of another player. but if everyone could easily find a vehicle, then it would remove a lot of the challenge from the game. However what Shilu suggested I cannot agree with for the same reason that putting too many vehicles would be bad. Part of the thrill of finding a helicopter crash or a sweet spawn in the NWA is in knowing you have achieved a rare apex in the game, where you no longer need to actively seek out dangerous areas in hopes of finding that gear. I would not oppose a greater selection of weapons in the future, especially melee weapons, but weapons now are perfectly spaced that it is challenging, but not difficult to find and maintain any type of weapon if you have the know-how to do it. -
to help with the zombies. run around a building and crouch walk after you turn a corner. try it a couple of times, and you should be able to shake zombies. or crouch run zig zagging between buildings. also play the game more. don't worry about dying. with how ya'lls servers are setup youll be able to regear quickly. and so will I because I take all that horded gear from you. kill you, and steal your vehicles and helicopters. we want to compete with you guys because you are many and we are few, and it would be fun if yall would actually play and not abuse your admin rights by "emergency shutting down" the server when your trying to unglitch the heli. you needed several windscreen glasses to stop the leak. so please. play fair. thank you. This message is from me and in no way am i representing my clan.

I just saw this post. I didn't disconnect. I looked at you with my rangefinders, only to pass out from the ONE shoot you droped me with. I had around 6.5k blood when I first passed out. I was on the ground, right where you shoot me for 10 seconds maybe before I was kicked and banned. Survived on another server with 4k blood, so that kick and ban probaly saved me life. My internet played a prank with me and made me lagg in Teamspeak when I tryed to tell my friends close to me what happend. I fixed it in 2 mins max and told them what happend. Daysofdoom DID not ghost, OR leave the server at all from when I got shoot and when you started to shoot at him. 15 min, no, more like 5 min. Anyways, blaming that the area was full with hackers isn't a valid reason if you lack proof. Banning me for spawning vehicles without looking at the logs? I mean, come on. Stop abuse, stop be happy on the ban button. Collect evidence BEFORE you ban.

Whats with all the hackers???? What HAPPENED!??
theneonirvana posted a topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
ok. been playing for about a month now, and everything is groovy and i know its a beta... Past 5 days me and my crew have stumbled onto multiple sights of horded vehicles stocked to the tits with everything from 26 gilli suits to everything else.... yesterday a hacker was teleporting from person to person with a Silencied semi auto and killed about 15 - 25 ppl in a 40 person server in under 2 minutes... server went dry... every one left. Watched the server for the next 20 min and watched as people joined and left, and only one soul remained.... Nickname mirk today... we find a downed heli on the ground, crashed into some tree's, every thing on fire... within 30 seconds we were attacked by another heuy from the sky with both guns blazing, everyone disconnects... what is going on??????? Is there a security flaw in 1.7.2.4? Are we going to see a change with battleeye to compensate?? please dont reply with "thats the way it is" or "welcome to dayz" lets spear head this! -

Green Mountain - Share Your Stories
Xeva replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I once ventured to Green Mountain in search of an ATV. I dare say it did not end well. It was fairly dark and zombies were swarming about. I cautiously entered the base, making sure not to attract any unwanted attention. I barely made it past the large groups of military zombies. I saw no vehicles to fix up however, so I attempted to make my escape. A lone zombie saw me, and proceeded to break my leg on his first swing. I was bleeding and my leg was broken, and soon I saw a second zombie run toward me as the first was still busy gutting me. Luckily I was carrying an M4A1 CCO SD, and was able to shoot them silently. If I had not had a silenced weapon, I would have probably died. Green Mountain would have been my grave. -

DEOVONTAY MCSLANGA replied to DEOVONTAY MCSLANGA's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Yeah I know why it happens, but it's just silly that they could so easily fix this and they don't. At the VERY LEAST they need to take any vehicles that spawn on buildings/dams/other broken terrain and move them. This would literally take a few minutes to fix. Better yet, the problem wouldn't exist in the first place if the guy placing the vehicles wasn't incompetent. It's obvious there's a problem with vehicles on bridges, etc; the least this dumbass could do is just not spawn vehicles there. -
Looking over the screen shot made by Fragital, why does the ban say Battleye ban: Hacking? Doesnt that mean that an admin of the server put down the reason as the "Battleye Ban: Hacking"? I thought real battleye bans from battleye issue a number id connected to the ban? Does anybody here know if thats true or if I'm just simply suspicious. *Edit, sorry for edit, I didnt read this post until now: I'm sorry to point this out but, doesnt this make little sense? Just because your camp was hit a few hours ago, and two guys found your camp, how can you correlate the two together? Does this mean that Morpheus and Tank are the only two players who play on your server? Also, vehicles are very VERY visible on maps. You can see them from a very far distance even when they are hidden in shrubs. If I were to find a vehicle, as I am quite the greedy player, I usually would try to run up and snatch it instantly, especially if its in the middle of a forest. Next, are admins allowed to kick players for that reason? Even if there was a mole in your clan, would that warrant an admin to kick a player until he reveals himself? I don't mean really to pick at the details that are relatively irrelevant to this topic but from this story, your clan seems to be highly biased against Fragital as he is a traitor to your clan(?) Once again, sorry to be a stickler but is there any proof for this? Fraps, logs, videos? This would warrant a legitimate ban if there was!

The [b-S G] "clan" has hacked in many vehicles and the best loot of the game on themselves in Elecktro and gave themselves invisibility and invincibility. [b-S G] Remus, Phase, Ragnarok, Maisteri, Adama and Ashke are their names. I don't know how to take a screenshot and I don't have a recording program.

You know, in a real zombie apocalypse
jonahcutter replied to fluffyg's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
You're almost there, but not quite, in your thinking. Let me help... DayZ isn't about surviving a zombie apocalypse. Both the "survival" and zombie aspects quickly become easy to the point of being a simple hoop to jump through. A nuisance at best. DayZ is actually a sorta-persistent-world, watered-down ArmA where the main thrust of the game is to gather the best weapons, and to gather materials to assemble vehicles. And to raid each others' camps for those weapons and vehicles. That is the design path it currently is following. That gameplay can be fun in itself. But it is not zombie-survival in the slightest. "Zombie-survival" is the hook. It's window dressing that draws players in. Once you spend a week or so learning to play, the zombie-survival mechanics are barely a factor. You have to willfully play poorly, or refuse to learn, to continue to be at risk of hunger, thirst, disease or exposure, much less the zombies themselves. There has been much philosophizing about DayZ. It is mostly hogwash. It's a mod that is about trying to get the most powerful weapons and mounts. You can not do these things, and deliberately play as a weaker character, and be farmed (for gear or kicks) by those who min/max, if you wish. But that is not unique to DayZ. You can do that in just about any online, competitive game. You may find worth in that, but make no doubt, you are deliberately limiting yourself so as to provide targets for players who are not limiting themselves whatsoever. The thing that really makes DayZ special, those first few desperate hours/days when you are fighting for immediate survival against zombies and other men, scrambling for a simple can of beans or a soda, and the holy grail of a pistol with ammo, quickly falls apart after a few play-throughs. That game could be magical, if it was sustained. But currently it is not. It starts out strong, and rapidly falls apart. -
Carbon Tactics clan - Now Recruiting
Lykaios replied to Gooseguy312's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Age - 27 What role are you applying for in this clan - recon or medic (whichever you need more) How much experience do you have playing Dayz - 2 weeks, but I consider myself a good player I have repaired vehicles set up tents full of supplies raided electro multiple times without dieing Do you have ventrillo and a working microphone - yes i have both. Are you a serious player works well with others and doesn't mess around during missions- I am both serious when i need to be, and light hearted when the mission is over. I Can only play at mostly at night because I have training during the day,( In the DEP for the U.S. Navy.) but some days i will be able to play during daytime hours. -------- 1) You have just respawned near cherno and make it a goal of yours to enter the city to acquire basic supplies. As you get closer you hear multiple gunshots and sniperfire, you notice only 1 person dies. What do you do from here to get in and out as safely as possible? 1. I'm going to assume I am solo for this question since it was not specified. First I would try to find some high ground that has cover to get a vantage point to see if i could locate any players in the city. After watching for a bit to see where, and how many players are curently in the city, I would also check the hills for snipers. I would try to hit the locations they are not in untill I found a weapon that stands a chance against another semi geared player. Once I found a weapon I would make my way twords the other players stealthily, and execute them as quickly and quietly as posible. This can require patience as waiting for people to make themselves vulnerable is key. 2) You are playing as a heavy assault role, and as you are running with your 5-man squad near Stary Sobor, you hear a single sniper shot and 1 of your teammates gets killed. What do you do from here (and retreat is never an option)? 2. First thing you need to do is find cover, you cant help anyone if you take a bullet in the head 2 seconds later. then your entire team needs to figure out which direction the shots came from. once you figure out where the sniper is, you split up into 2 man teams. and run in a "C" shape starting from the center of the"C" and the 2 teams going in oposite directions twords the sniper using cover as you go. if you have smoke its good to pop them in his general direction before doing this, or to cover your routes twords him. as soon as anyone has eyes on the sniper they need to lay down suppressive fire to keep him pinned and distracted. this tactic should kill the sniper with minimal casualties. 3) We are entering the city of elektro to give assistance to a wounded teammate located in the store. You are told their is 1 nearby sniper with range of the store and 2 nearby riflemen, all who are attempting to finish off our comrade. You are in command of a 5 man squad and must help him + eliminate the threat. What are your orders from here? 3. 3 men need to go into the city and 2 men need to be hunting for the sniper, our teams sniper should be counter sniping. with the second guy with the sniper helping him locate the other sniper. the 3 that go into the city need to start making there way tword the store while the other team is hunting the sniper, the store should be approched by the team from 1 of 2 directions depending on if the other team has spotted the sniper yet. if the snipers location is known and he is not eliminated yet, then the team should approach the store from the oposite side of the sniper. if the sniper is eliminated or the location is not know the store should be approched from behind the enemy 2 man assault team. there location should be known because of our own overwatch team. Kill the 2 man enemy assault team, if the sniper is dead enter the store and patch up our teamate (if we got there in time to save him.) and then loot what we can and move on to the next objective. if the teamate died, hold the location untill he can return to get his gear, ( or if we have enough room in our packs we can loot his gear and bring it to him.)
