Maybe by now everyone knows people hide vehicles in the north? IMO vehicle hoarding always leads to QQing. I just blow them up when I find them.

This is hilarious. I've stolen 10+ vehicles the past two weeks and all I have now is a bicycle. You will never keep a vehicle that long if you place it far north or west. Kids don't roam those woods. Searching for camps is a legit way to play the game. I haven't looted an airfield or tree stand in a while since I can just find vehicles and tents with gear.

Sadly, this is actually kind of true. However the ban itself may be questionable, many people do not know what vehicles are legitimate or not. The loot tables are not official, as this can be applied for weapons.

I'm surprised you are so dense you don't recognise satire. Like.. really? I'd be glad for it if it weren't for the fact that we're stuck in some hills with one jerry can. We won't be able to get anywhere meaningful. What, me? I'm not bothered by wipes, bugged server reboots or glitches, I'm bothered by not getting to know who took our vehicles and what on earth they were doing that far north.

No, but all of our vehicles (Hilux, ATV, hatchback) disappeared due to a server bug a couple days ago. Lost over twenty long arms, five pistols and a ton of food, drink, med.supplies and ammo. We spent three hours getting to the spot all vehicles were relocated to, found a new Hilux and drove it away as fast as possible while under fire from snipers. We got to Elektro, and our old Hilux was standing there with a punctured tire next to a house.. it had some of the stuff it had back at basecamp. Lost a handful guns, ammo and food. We had that first Hilux for two weeks and now it's lost due to A. my friend being so lazy he can't spent 10 minutes moving it and B. some children driving around in the far northeast just looking for vehicles. I don't know about you guys, but I don't take other people's shit in this game. I know how frustrating it is to spend hours getting a car to work, having it for a short time and then losing it to some jackass you won't get to track down, slap his shit and take the stuff back.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but there are so many topics about the admins on this server (LU 131) that I wanted to share our experiences tonight. After following a chopper North East, one of our group stumbled upon a camp with 5 vehicles and 10 or so tents, which were being guarded by one of the FNL clan members. He decided to wait it out as there was no chopper and after a while he disconnected, so our guy moved in and found the chopper was there behind a small mound! He jumped in and took off, as the rest of our group made our way to the co-ords. At this time there were no FNL members on and we managed to liberate 3 vehicles and have some fun with the chopper. After about an hour, 1 FNL member joined and he was quickly joined by another two, after which the server restarted. We had saved the chopper and the vehicles we took though and they didnt revert to their camp. We were fully aware that they were going to get their stuff back one way or another and by knowing how they have acted previously we thought we would do a fly by on their camp and take out as many as we could. LOL, nobody cares and it's a part of the game. The fact that you're so mad is fucking hilarious. I've always said, "Vehicles are easy come, easy go" and to have one is just a priviledge. EDIT: My clan of 20 have had urals / uaz's / pickups / hatchbacks / GAZ's / ATV's / Motorbikes / even tractors - stolen from us or blown up, but we find them again and we deal with it. Keeping vehicles in a tiny group or by yourself is almost impossible because you can't protect them 24/7, but even with 20 people, hackers can ruin a good night, but then we go out and find some more. It's a part of the dayz life.

ANNNNNNNNNNNND its gone... you do realize there is NO point in finding vehicles on public servers? between the hackers, exploiters and douchebags your never going to hold a vehicle for longer than a month, so dont even bother trying. they will always win, unless your lucky.

Instead of giving you a fish, I will teach you how to fish. Recently the player-usable helicopter was reintroduced back into the game. The spawn point for this vehicle is on an island. One of the server variables causes you to lose gear while swimming. There are few boats to be had in DayZ. With those 4 bits of knowledge, a player could deduce a likely place on the mainland to find tents or vehicles where a player has temporarily stashed most of his gear before making the swim over to the island. I put this knowledge to good use last night, garnering an m16a4 acog, nvgs, rangefinder, gps, morphine, and a couple other items I was in need of.

Rocket is being an useless POS and tents are still broken. After every restart our tents have been wiped clean and thus we've stopped using them at all. I'd move the vehicles myself but running two kilometres to get back to the other car is a chore and takes a lot of time in mountainous terrain.

Thanks for the help and lifting the ban, I just spent the past hour installing my second copy of arma 2 on my other computer so I could get your teamspeak IP didn't expect a response this quickly. and I was unaware that vehicle was hacked in, I am VERY happy to see how active you are with banning hackers and suspected hackers I appreciate it and looks like I may have just found a primary server to play on. That was the one of the first vehicles I have found so I was a little excited when I saw it and didn't think to check the loot tables, I'll print off list of items to check over with any suspicious items. If you banned my passenger as well can you please lift his ban? He was just a random guy I met in the hanger, honked and invited him for a ride I would hate to have him face a similar fate for simply jumping in the suv. Unfortunately I did not catch his name.

This is why you don't rely on vehicles for storage, common sense really. Just get revenge and take them back, it'll give you something to do.

Guys, guys, guys. Situation is sorted (I think) - Moons ban has been revoked and the rightful recipient was banned instead. Everything blew up out of proportion - Only Moon was banned originally and the server has NEVER been down for a long period of time regardless of what people say (except for recently to flush the hacker) - its just a bug with servers right now - check sixlauncher/ingame browser yourself and you will see. In any case, they are keeping the vehicles, people are sorted, everything should be fine.

Hi, I'm one of the main owners on US866. You were in a hacked vehicle - the black SUV. We were actively banning a CRAZY amount of hackers today (and we just finished banning more). We saw you in a vehicle that was not in the loot tables so we banned you and destroyed the vehicle. We will lift your ban. I would recommend you take a look at the loot tables and just familiarize yourself with the weapons and vehicles and stuff. That way you can avoid these situations in the future. If you ever find something that you don't think should be there, then please join our TS (our ip pops up every few minutes to join) and let us know. There is almost ALWAYS an admin on. It might take a couple hours to lift the ban. -Jay-Nic

This happens to me all the time, Ive lost vehicles etc. Its extremely annoying and forces you to disconnect asap Im about to give this mod a long rest and go back to my other mods

Jesus christ... friggin kids i dont play on this server or care about this B.S but in general it irritates the crap outta me.... so moon and crew how much did you pay for this mod? 0$ right? yeah thats what i thought admins have to pay for YOU to have a chance to play. and when anything goes wrong people SCREAM ADMIN ABUSE ADMIN ABUSE. also you can get any vehicle up a steep hill its easy do it at angles. we got a bus on my server up an almost 90 degree incline by just going back and forth. also we filled a camp with some really juicy stuff over the course of a week completely legitly because when you have a large clan with multiple vehicles especially a helo its silly easy to do.

Pretty self explanatory, being able to place IED's in the world that would destroy/damage vehicles. The IED's themselves could be found or crafted from various juck items. Ps. sorry if this was already suggested.

So, I found a uav earlier- took it into the hills and hid it. Came back 4 hours later and it was gone. I've had experiences with tents where they'll disappear, and then a few server restarts later the tents are back- Does this happen with vehicles too? I saved the hell out of it so I know it wasn't an issue of me forgetting to save it. Certainly it could have been stolen, but I moved it when the server was low pop and it was in a very low traffic location. Any positive experiences similar to this, or is my vehicle just gone? another hacker by the name of matt was flying over top of cherno, being shot at by all directions didnt die ( 5 min of shooting ). then he teleports everyone to the top of a building and shoots them one by one, then he made ppl start walking into the ocean (manipulating their control). EDIT: Later that day, he spawns every vehicle on the map in a line in cherno. this took all our vehicles with loot to cherno. then when we finally got to the vehicles when all was quiet he hunted us down one by one in the cars. i got from cherno to zelengorsk till we got shot driving. also another group we were with 3 other vehicles were also taken down in same fashion. Later that night we finally got server reset and found 3 of the cars we had from before... ( hard to believe i know right? ) save it at our camp, and go to bed. Today when we woke up the cars were all gone. im pissed off at the edge here. i look around for 30 min and found them! YAY!!! they were only 1k away in a field. guess what i stood around there and got in position for friends to come. then as im scanning the forest, nothing can shoot me at this point with the l85 i see a shot miss me by a yard silenced as hell. ALT f4ed to a better position on a diff server (hate me all you want, fix the fucking hackers then i wont alt f4). I spawn in a tree about 1 click ahead of the position i was shot at and CANNOT be shot at again. im prone and dont move a hair, all i hear is another shot, but this was after i noticed something where i was proning before on the hill, there was a helicopter sticking out of it. so at this point i know its a hacker and a shitty shot at that. he misses me each time and i alt f4 before he can get me . http://i.imgur.com/A1rO7h.jpg - heli that was in my old position THIS HACKER IS GREIFING THIS SERVER ONLY! I just hate the fact that admins on alot of custom hive servers just give themselfes every single item in the game and just spawn all the vehicles how they want them to.

Why dont we take 3 maps. >chernarus: a map with medium loot and vehicles >lingor: a map with high loot and vehicles >another map: a map with no or a bit of loot and vehicles so we could play the dificult we want to or we could take tose maps and add a option to chage the commonness of vehicles and loot

you inbred little shits needs to stop blaming the fucking admin every time a hacker goes on the server. ADMINS CAN'T KILL YOU, ADMINS CAN'T SPAWN ITEMS OR VEHICLES, ADMINS DO NOT HAVE ANY SPECIAL ABILITIES, WE CAN ONLY KICK, BAN AND LOCK THE SERVER it was a hacker.

Don't head North first. Head west to around longitude 005. Once you get there head North. Clans horde vehicles and more supplies than you will be able to carry or drive off with around this longitude. There are plenty of deer stands you can divert to and hit up on the way. Once you get to latitude 022 head East again. Be sure to hit the North hills above Petrokova, this area is a gold mine. Before you hit the NE airfield, you will be well and truly fully kitted. You probably won't run into anyone the entire time whilst you get kitted up... just be careful when looting. Clans don't like to kill players around their base unless they are sure you know its there because they don't want to draw attention around that area.
