I have some questions: Can you remember the difference between a REGULAR and VETERAN? What does a restart every 6 hours? We can still move a vehicle or camp + they will be lost at each restart? ( not a problem of my server, but the game itself is causing this issue ) When you want you can have your own TS channel for you and your friends to play on. Just come to our Teamspeak! And i am sorry to hear that you experianced Admin abuse! WE WILL NEVER do such a thing. I am totaly against it and me and my team will never do such a thing! So recently we've been noticing vehicles are being discovered (let's just say) a little to easily on our server and our regulars have also noticed this. Well hidden vehicles are simply gone within hours and no one on our server is able to locate any vehicles at all. I recently picked up a Admin Radar tool from a fellow admin in these forums to investigate. Let me add, I run my server fairly and in a completely unbiased manner and my regulars will confirm this. I dont agree with using such a tool as it gives an admin knowledge he or she should not have but in my case it served for the purpose of good and for the reason such a tool was created for. Myself and another Admin came up with a plan to set bait (being the big brown truck) and fill it will goodies and place it in an impossible to find location....i.e miles off map. Now please dont think this is a common occurrence! We are dead against off map camps etc Anyway...our bait was taken within the space of an hour and apon checking the Admin radar tool a certain clan thats recently started playing our server head straight to it almost in a perfect line from the other side of the map as though they had its exact co-ords. The tool doesn't show them exactly taking it as it does not show off map locations but it does show 3 members of this clan leaving the map at that given time (timestamped) and re-emerging together. Let me also add that they have a large number of the servers vehicles too. Screenshots of the tool can be provided as well as logs....would this be a definite case of hacking?

So is anyone else noticed how easily our hidden vehicles are being discovered?

We have the same problem. Vehicles are also not saving items.

Since a few days ago when we had all our vehicles taken by teleport. We have a had 3 Thunderdomes. 1 episode where everyone was stunned. 2 episodes of players using animal models attacking other players. 1 episode, all players killed at once. 1 episode where a player brought in 3 bots with him that shot in unison. And that is just while I have been on... Not a problem here, right?

No haha, we haven't seen any vehicles for a while, and certainly not at any camps we have come across. The only vehicle we found by a camp was a helicopter, but that too vanished after a restart :(.

To be honest we thought that you guys (REC5) had raided our camp and taken our vehicles last Thursday night as you were the only clan with members on at the time. Glad it was a bug to be honest as this means our camp isn't compromised. We had 2 UAV's, a bus, two ATV's, a GAZ, a motorbike and a bicycle so still a bit annoyed =/.

hackers on us 834 spawning vehicles not in game and spawning infinite choppers. time 2:50 am central usa. they are messing around in cherno. me and a few friends sniped acouple of them and took out a few of their vehicles. thats how we know they are spawning them, and there were police cars / cadillacs. they also had 3 choppers in the air around cherno at once.

i'm a server regular and also play with the admins. i've seen them die plenty of times with vehicles, and you know what happens next? We hunt the bastards down and take them back. sniperwolf, by the way you've presented yourself on these forums i wouldn't believe you if you claimed to be older than 12. you posted in the wrong forum as well, and you have absolutely no credibility. secondly, the UAZ was not destroyed, a group recovered it at that exact location and it is under our control now. the admins didn't even know it was at Rog until it was pointed out over mumble. Please don't try to tarnish the reputation of one of the best servers i've ever played on just because you were oblivious to the restart timer AND the automated messages about how to contact the admins.

YUP. Why is there something wrong with that? I have been told many times that this is not a bannable offence. Its not like im the one hacking them. Im not complaining about about duping meat. Nor am I complaining about duping tents, or duping weapons, or server restarting to get vehicles back.. Im complaining about logging into a server and dying. Day 8. 30 so hours of game play.. and a bug makes you die. Or a hack. Who knows. Thats my beef!

Ok so I got banned about 30minutes ago for using a script to spawn items in game. (stupid idea) Reasons why I did this was because I had a lot of good gear on my character and some god mode faggot killed me. So I was pissed that I spent a good 1-2 weeks getting that gear to be killed by a hacker, so I download a script that would spawn me every item in game(no vehicles) and after using it for about 1hour I got a message saying (You were kicked off the game. (BattleEye: Global ban #c826) This wasn't one of those hacks that could kill everyone or spawn them somewhere. So because I'm a stupid hacking fag that ruins the game for everyone, as you'll say. Can I buy a new copy of the game and be able to play it again, or is there anyway to get unbanned? Oh and I only killed 1 person with the items i spawned and he was an admin. After killing him the message popped up. Server was NZ 04 i think

Seems battleye kicks people for driving vehicles randomly. Sometimes you are kicked later, after you have gotten out of them. Usually the vehicle in question (the one that activated the script) is removed until the next server restart. Sometimes when you rejoin the same server, you'll be bleeding and knocked out. Remember that.

But hey, innocent until proven guilty, and there is no evidence that I or my friend were hacking. Supposedly, we spawned vehicles. But the only vehicles in use nearby were being used by the people we attacked. So if anyone spawned them in, it was [72nd], who are obviously friends to the people with power on that server. EDIT: I've filled out a server report for admin abuse, let's see what comes of it if a mod approves it.

'Tis the tale of what the title states, I suppose. So my friend and I decided on heading to Vybor to look for camping tents, as they spawn commonly in supermarkets. I was equipped with an L85A2 AWS, G17C and NVGs. He had an M4A3 CCO, NVGs and a G17C. So we arrive at Vybor's supermarket and there is no tent in there, unfortunately. Because I had only a small amount of time before I had to get off, we chose to server hop until we found one tent [to speed up the process. He couldn't carry it because his backpack and inventory was full, so I needed to be on to carry one if he found it.] After serving hopping for a bit, he finally finds one and gives it to me. The server that we were on kicked us off for some reason, so I tried to find another server. I find a server with only two other people on it, and we join. After looking around the supermarket a bit, I felt like I needed to thermal scan the surrounding area. After scanning down the road, what do I see? A motorcycle, just sitting there. I immediately go prone and state to my friend [DesolateChris] that there's a motorcycle near us. Another friend in our Skype call states that motorcycles don't spawn there. I immediately go into full-awareness mode, ready for a firefight. After watching the bike for a bit, I decide to check it out. The bike had three cans of beans and one jerry can. I check the parts and it's all green with 100% fuel. It was very odd, to find a motorcycle parked by a player on a server with only two other players. Lucky find, I guess. So I, like the majority of players would, hop on the bike and start to drive it away, out of the town for safety [my group is desperate for vehicles since our last ones magically disappeared]. 10 seconds after I start up the engine, DesolateChris and I hear "stop the bike!" from direct communication. I quickly hold down shift and start to zig-zag with the bike. Silenced M4 rounds start flying over my head and at the bike. Luckily, he was a horrible shot and completely missed both myself and the bike. I drive it around 1k away, so that I know he couldn't have followed me. You know what happens next? "No message recieved for 10 seconds-20 seconds-30 seconds" and so on. I then know with complete certainty that he restarted the server [NOTE: I know he is the server admin because DesolateChris stated to me that an admin was in game prior to us joining the server]. I was completely pissed at the fucker for doing that. Absolutely enraged. At this point I knew my goal was to eliminate him, not matter the costs. I hadn't been in a firefight/seen a player for days [both in game and real life]. Because he fired at me first, he was in deservation of death. So after a few minutes, and after the server is back up, we rejoin. When I spawn in, the bike isn't near me, of course. So I sprint back to Vybor. I tell DesolateChris to log back in, and be ready to eliminate "podge" [as his name was]. After reaching 400 metres from town, I thermal the side of Vybor, and I see podge crouch running to a building with my thermal. Of course, DesolateChris and myself were in no position to take him out, so it wasn't an option. I run closer and wait for him. I had lost sight of him after he went into the house. We then soon realise that he's DCed, but still in the lobby. I jump to the conclusion that's DCed in the building. We set up positions of both sides of the house [DesolateChris in the tree since he had a ghillie, and me facing the road side of the house]. He doesn't come back into the game for at least 15 minutes. AS SOON as DesolateChris states that he's back in, a zombie magically becomes agro on me and breaks my leg [of all the times, why now?!]. I was forced to fire my L85 to take it out. The zombie had COMPLETELY fucked everything up. We were going to surprise attack the stupid server admin, but the zombie...argh, I was even more pissed than when podge restarted the server. I then realised, after dealing with the zombie and my broken leg, that there is no player in the house. The bike isn't where I found it. So podge must have left some time after he entered that house when I was aimed in on it. We decide to leave and go the NWAF. Ahh, pity. I would have loved that bike. Fuck admin-power abusing admins.

Just a warning this story's a bit long ill try to keep the wall of text down. So my friend and I were running around Cherno after getting fairly geared up most of the accessorys both with AKS-74 Kobras in one of the US #00 at around 10:40 PST servers that was on night. We had just passed the ocean side of the church running east when I notice what looks like headlights out on the pier so i take my binoculars out to take a closer look, and what do i find? A seemingly vacant Military Offroad, seeing as we hadn't gained anything to special we thought it worth the risk to check it out so we slowly make are way closer, hearing some DMR shots from the center of town we decide to book it down the pier and try to get to it as fast as we can. We get to the metal barn at the end of the pier to check for campers waiting for someone to try to get in the vehicle but find no sign of players so we jump in the vehicle as fast as we can and take off down the highway going east hitting 109(mph?) and break up into the forest to make a fast save of the vehicle and check the gear. We stop frantically and check the gear and there low and behold is the famous AS50 with 7 mags and 2 frag grenades so my friend grabs the AS50 encase i manage to blow up the vehicle while we're still driving and we take off to go north away from Cherno. We take dirt roads to keep are speed going north and as we get a little to close to Stary Sobor for my comfort we break west into the trees. As the server had been having connection problems a little skipping hadn't really caught my eye until we completely teleported onto a completely different hill and all of the vehicles from around the map (including the boats) appear next to us and I spot Electro being bombed to high heaven over and over and over, I get my friend to log since he has the AS50 and i figure we'll probably die since this hackers having a field day. I try to escape with the Military offroad but the sudden change from night to day blinds me for a few seconds and i end up doing a front flip onto the hood and getting stuck. I figure i could try to grab gear and another vehicle from the ones that had suddenly appeared next to us. I try to check the bus that had appeared, only to notice a ghillied sniper running around next to the vehicles so I decide hes so distracted I could probably kill him and get fully geared with his .50 cal. So I get up next to him and as he goes into his gear for a second unload 10rounds from my AKS into his head and then watch as he simply looks at in completely opposite detection from me and shoots 1 shot which apparently does a 360 into my face and kills me. Tried respawning and running back but the server went down. Ended up being able to keep the AS50 but lost the vehicle, all and all I see it as a gain since my death loss wasn't much. Short Version: Find Military Offroad on Cherno pier in one of the US #00 servers fully repaired with an AS50 in it, start driving north only to be teleported with all other vehicles on the map to the Electro sniper hill which has a great view of Electro being blown up over and over and killed by an invincible sniper (probably the hacker maybe lag) but able to keep the AS50. Probably the most entertaining 15-30 mins I've had on DayZ, so i thought id share it with you guys. Edit-Broken up the wall of text as requested

Thanks for the fast replies guys. :) So if we have a vehicle, and we put it somewhere where no one finds it (I know that place doesnt exist but for the question purposes). Save it and log off. If the server restarts properly. not session lost or disconneced. Would it stay? Or is it simply a case of Server on, Vehicle there. Server off, Vehicle gone. Also, If you save a Vehicle and the server disconnected. Does the vehicle return to spawn but with all the loot in? Just wondering how all these clans hoard all these vehicles, but I can't get my truck to stay put! >:(

works for me most of the time, if i have time to scan the ground that is. same about tents/vehicles, if they are full, any items you put in will randomly drop around the tent.

Is there anyway to keep a vehicle in a place when the server restarts / disconnects? Not really. Just hope for the best. It varies sometimes. What does saving a vehicle actually do? Saves the items inside. Do some servers have more vehicles than others (We've been on some and found a good few v.quickly, been on others and found nothing) No, servers that don't have fresh spawned vehicles either have people hording or they are gone. Any other advice on vehicle related matters? You won't have it for long unless you have constant cover on it. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Hello, Firstly I apologise if this has been covered before, but i cant seem to find a clear answer to my question(s). But first alittle story, Me and my buddies had come under fire and were heavy wounded, the guys sniping at us had logged off as soon as we found there location so we sprinted not far NW of the hospital in cherno, one friend was killed by a zombie (fail). Me and the other friend, sat on the hill waiting for him to respawn come back. However the server then went down. 10 minutes later back up, all is well, but wait! There is a fully repaired truck (Army Transporter?) literally next to us! My second friend comes running back thought cherno, and he finds one as well! In the middle of cherno. We cant believe are luck! So we loot what we can and set off running our little fleet of trucks. We were doing well, missed an encouter with a helicopter, stocking up supplies and repair kits. Everything time we got out of the trucks to loot somewhere/thing/one we would save the vehicles. We even saw a few bikes and a car but left them for others Further north we find a helicopter crash site. then all of a sudden. "Session Lost"! Annoying but nevermind, log back in 2 minutes later when the server comes back online, but the vehicles were gone :-(. I traced our steps back all the way to cherno and then to where they supposedly spawn. but nothing.. Same thing happened when later that evening, on a different server we got ambushed in a barn as we were being a bit stupid and firing at zombies alot, a bus turned up with 3 guys, killed 2, 1 ran for the hills. Saw the bus, started moving, "Connection lost to the server" Log back on.. No Bus or Bodies... Question Time: Is there anyway to keep a vehicle in a place when the server restarts / disconnects? I have put just over 150 hours in this game, exploring the sights, feeling the sheer dread and terror of fleeing from zombies, the shock and adrenaline of being shot at (and not getting hit, at least at first), getting the good loot, dying, getting the good loot again (but faster), trading for the first time, driving every vehicle (yes Huey included, I got shot down over Cherno), feeling the rush of meeting your first friendly survivor, and after all of that I still want to play more. I used the search function on the forums and it seems that people need help with their endgame. If you've already fixed up cars, stashed them and lost them, played medic to friends and strangers, bandit to the unwilling, what else is left to do? Not much, as was already discussed. Instead of complaining about our lack of in-game tools to make the game more sandboxy, why not think bigger and better? How about groups of more than twenty survivors playing friendly? Humor me for a second. If a massive group of like-minded players in a server worked together, we can make a man-made structure near the coast outside of zombie spawns! If you die you take 10-15 minutes to walk back to the fun as opposed to 3-4 hours gearing back up to PvP. People will guard your corpse. Tents will be up full of loot just for our activities. Just a few examples I thought of: 1) If we find two or more of the same type of vehicles, let's make a race track and race! Let's have teams with mechanics to fix the cars and drivers! 2) Gladiator fights with weapons chosen by the crowd! 3) PvE contests where contestants try to kill as much zombies as possible And so on and so forth! People, if you feel like you've done it all like me and you want to make something epic let me know! Your ideas and feelings towards this matter will be greatly appreciated.

We had 3 helicopters and a mass of other vehicles spawned by hackers 2 times today, needless to say as we can't babysit the server all night it will be down until someone can keep a eye on whats going on and keep the hackers kicked!

Hi mate, Wow, I am feeling a bit amazed at the moment because you seem to be able to label everyone as a hacker and cheat while displaying all the haulmarks of one yourself. I have just joined this forum to express my opinion and dismay with your comments, poor detective skills and just plain stupidity. First point. I am one of 10 guys that have set that camp up over a period of about a month. This was not a fun part of the game but it was required as our last base was compromised and we moved. I only recently found out it was a heli respawn point and was about to start moving locations. All that gear has taken 10 guys a month to accumulate from farming the NWAF and heli crash points. We also have found vehicles loaded with heaps of stuff such as the NVG's which we obviously kept. I can assure you I had spend days looking through the scope at the NWAF without even firing a shot guarding the guys who were farming. We were dedicated and it payed off. I had even noticed we had some extra tents down near the town so I was happy to share as the island as our gear was always there and a "truce" seemed to be in place. Second Point. Well done for finding the spot if you found it without cheating. Credit were credit is due but i cannot understand why you would destroy all that loot? Just take what you need and then when you come back, you might be able to get a resupply. I have never destroyed another camp as that is just poor logisitics mate and you loose your advantage. That is/was a rookie error. As for the camp respawning, don't know about that but they have always had gear in them when I looked. Maybe a server reset caused it to come back. Don't get me wrong, I am pissed right now but we can farm again and we still have guys with gear who can help out. Third Point. While I was on the island the other day my friend and i were shot at out of the blue and then the attacker ALT F4'd when we countered. Luckily the were shit shots. From that point on I was over near the light house to cover our guys on this side of the island while the were clearing the town. Low and behold, through my sight picture I saw some bloke spawn in and shoot my mate in the back. I had an ACOG (from the NWAF) and shot him multipule times (four hits to be precise) then he logged out. As this server has User names I notified the Admins who did NOT ban him much to my dissapointment. I hope that wasn't your buddy as he is just the sort of player that grits my shit. Talking all tough on team speak, Hopping in and out then running away when he gets slapped. That bitch play is just shit house and shows how pathetic you guys are for doing it. "Hard core gamers" who fucking cry when shot at after hopping in and out are shit, they bring the game down and have effectively killed this mod off IMO. Just as bad as the hackers to be honest. Fourth Point. As I previously stated, I was only aware of the Heli spawn point recently. I first realised when we found a heli on the island. We promptly attemped to fly it and crashed into the trees. We don't have a helecopter and did not assult you with one. If you haven't noticed, the hackers are everywhere and by the look of if, that dick stain "obvioushacker" on the forum was one of them. Trust me, nothing says hacker like getting a boat land on your head in Zeleno. Funny but extremely annoying the first time, out right frustrating. I was also dropped from 50 feets three in a row about 10 minutes apart and teleported to a debeg forest island without any equipment with several other guys in the last week on the server and i wish the server could ban the lot of them. We couldn't even kill ourselves on the island, do you know how shit that is! So in summary, well done on finding our shit, we should have moved earlier. I still think you are stupid for killing it off and the most important one......... GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT BEFORE SPROOKING SHIT YOU ARSE CLOWN! Stop blaming the admins for trying to make there servers playerable for players, not dickwads and hackers. Off my soap box now.
