Well just moved our camp from a server and have som spare vehicles on the old one. You can have them all for some weapons or such. Got 2 ATV, 1 Buss, 1 Mini van and 3 Tractors. Send me a PM if you want them. It's a Norway server.

Hotfix Build 1.7.2.5 Rolling Update

I have updated all on my server and my client to 1.7.2.5 and have visited the NW Airfield and all seems fine to me. I really have not noticed anything about slower zeds but, their animations seem a little smoother. EDIT: Tents nor vehicles do not save at all. they will only keep the items i had before the update in them and that is it reverting back to 1.7.2.4 -
What vehicle do you want? You can move over to our server. We are a week old with just about all the vehicles around

Just to clarify...this thread is about vehicles not spawning on a new server...not about disappearing vehicles after a restart

so we're not alone... i'm playing on this server with some friends and yeah as it looks right now EVERYTHING saved is now gone.. no more tents no more vehicles weird thing is that right after the update only the vehicles were gone... now, one (or two?) restarts later tents have also vanished :sadpanda: P.S. Still i'd like to extend my gratitude to trinitygames for hosting this kickass server! Very fast and responsive and always up to date :) :edit Tents reappeared! -

I somehow managed to find 3 vehicles (a GAZ, a tractor and an old bike in the sea near the shore)in 5 hours. :D Sadly one of them (A tractor inside a forest) blew up when I accidentally crashed a reeeally small tree and killed me on the spot. Lucky my buddy managed to save my gears so I'm OK with it (kudos to Chad for trying to save me, saved my gears and awesome driving). On the other hand, we (I mean my buddy, not me) managed to blow up an ATV we just repaired. One of my buddy (He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named) accidentally flipped the ATV while driving it so we try to flip back the ATV by pushing it a little bit with our car. We bumped the ATV slowly and carefully with our car when suddenly... ...the ATV glitched and flew up into the sky and crashed into the ground before blew up into a fire ball. So there goes our hours-spend ATV and our loots inside... :rolleyes: p/s: On behalf of my buddy (He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named), we would like to apologize about the ATV incident to our friend Painronamic. m(_ _)m -

1.) Tons of different purposes, it depends on the clan. Typically there are a few central reasons. A team provides security, better gear, and easier accessibility to vehicles. Some also enjoy the idea of interacting with new people and forming relationships. 2.) You simply ask to join a clan or start your own. Here's a link to a map that has ALL loot spots, showing their value, howmany loot spots are in a house, what loot, what %, vehicles... the whole bazar! I have NEVER heard or seen such a thing. The only thing I know of that involves vehicles and tents on start is that every so often they won't load in due to a random magical error involving connection to the Hive. Nothing else involving players or mission starting affects this. No idea where you might have heard such a thing. The reason any one can legally lock their server is briefly on restart or shutdown for a total of 5 minutes to reduce/prevent flooding. "Before you start flaming, read what I have to say. Almost everyone knows, at least the server admins and hosters, tents and cars aren't loaded correctly after a restart, if players force the the server to start the mission, by clicking "okay"." That right there, just re-read that...and well..I have never heard that, or experienced it. Saying everyone knows something that ISN'T true is quite odd. It is absoultely not true. In fact my server just had a scheduled restart. I log in, hit okay, get the mission start screen where it shows the map. I'm not logged in as Admin. It starts up a hundred percent, a-okay. The only downside other than flooding when logging into a server too soon after restart is a chance to get stuck in perpetual loading.(not the same problem people are getting now) -

My tents and vehicles are not there sometimes after a restart. I usually have to preform another restart and they all appear again. -
My server does this all the time. If I do a 2nd restart after the scheduled one all the tents and vehicles come back.

Shut up and let the servers with 1.7.2.4 alone. If you know what I mean. WE HAVE NO MORE INFINITE AMMO, YOU CALL THAT COOL? THERE GOES MY WAY TO REACH 5K ZOMBIE KILLS, GRAH. Anyway it's a nice patch though, now for every items you put accidentally into a full container such as cars, tents, or your girlfriend's backpack, won't disappear just like that, it will have a chance to drop somewhere near you, and a bigger chance in outdoor space. And I appreciate it Jac. Anyone else up to give some of their fortune to keep our home runs 24/7? I SAID, ANYONE ELSE? Just kidding, Joe always can use some bucks for the server though, keep it going guys! :) Got YM? Added on Steam, we will talk soon. I feel bad for you guys. Pain, don't really put it on your mind, we will get another soon. Couldn't find you on Steam, you could add me though. And the other one had encountered a failure on its launch to the orbit. The vessel didn't make it out of the stratosphere and sent back to the hard asphalt of Chernogorsk's cold road. -
No vehicles spawning on new server.

That's happening due to database corruption. When we used to have a hive-connected server I had a UAZ for 2 weeks until it vanished. I found a GAZ not even 500 feet away, kept that for a few days until it vanished and I found a minivan in its place (at first I thought someone had driven up in the van and stolen the GAZ, but that didn't make any sense since I had it parked in the wilderness, and you can run faster than the GAZ offroad, while the minivan has a decent offroad speed) Unfortunatly when vehicles disappear altogether, they don't respawn. When we got rid of our hive-connected server we were down to 3 working vehicles; none had spawned in over seven days. This has been a problem for over a month, and since nothing was getting done about it we shut down our public server in favor of a private server that doesn't have database corruption issues. -
Yeah, my tent disappeared, reappeared, thought everything was fine, put my stuff in it. Lo and behold today- gone again! And this goes for every other tent on the server and vehicle spawns. I know this because I staked out some other folks tents and vehicles at their spawn points to make sure it wasn't just me. This has been happening for 3 days and makes it so extremely difficult to play. Not to mention I switched backpacks and my old one and all of its contents disappeared into the ether today. I now have 0 medical supplies which is a royal PITA. I'm just glad it's not only me.

Here's all the different playstyles and descriptions of them, these are different pieces you'd be combining into a single playstyle. Interactions with Players: Friendly: Being a friendly player is the most riskiest thing to do, due to the fact that 90% of players kill/shoot on sight, you'd have a hard time finding other friends. IF you encounter another friendly player and decide to team up with them, make sure you pay attention to him, and make sure he's trustworthy enough. Neutral: Being a Neutral Player is my own preferred choice, you'd mainly stay away from other players, and try to avoid encounters with other unknown survivors. Only shoot at unknown survivors when it's necessary (If they shoot at you, or begin to follow you.) Neutral Players should always be paired with a good friend they know in real life, or from some other source. Hostile/Bandit: Being a Hostile/Bandit player is what countless players go for, killing players for fun, killing players for their items, or if you're confident enough, rob a player without killing him/her. The Bandit would stick to himself or with a party of other friends that would be bandits, and try to hunt and kill other survivors, most of the time they like to seek the thrill of going to highly populated areas and hunting for players there. Roles and Combat Roles (If you are in a team): Rifleman: The Rifleman is the main infantry of your team, they primarily use Assault Rifles and are considered one of the most important individuals in your group. They are also very adaptable to almost any situation. (Zer0's Preferred Loadout: L85A2 AWS, G17, and a Soldier Outfit) Marksman: The Marksman would be considered the Sniper of the team, they are adept in long range combat, and primarily use Sniper Rifles and provide reconnaissance, scoping out areas and pointing out threats or interests. They are a menace in the battlefield. (Zer0's Preferred Loadout: SVD Camo, M9SD, and a Ghillie Suit) Medic: Medics are considered to be important, they sacrifice most of their inventory by carrying loads of Medical Supplies. The team however, should carry a very small amount of medical supplies themselves. Medics provide medical aid in the battlefield, and they must be quick and level-headed if they are to effectively help the team. (Zer0's Preferred Loadout: MP5A5, M1911, and Civilian Clothing) Grenadier: Grenadiers specialize with explosives, and are rather risky. They mainly carry firearms equipped with Grenade Launchers, Grenades, Smoke Grenades, and a Rocket Launcher. A team's grenadier must be experienced and must ensure that none of his/her explosives harm the team. They are effective at bombarding enemies in cover with their explosives as well as taking out vehicles. (Zer0's Preferred Loadout: M4A1 Holo, Revolver, M136 Rocket Launcher, and a Camo Suit) Support Gunner: A support gunner helps provide suppressing fire, they inspire fear into the enemy, making them run for cover or change their cover, they prefer to use Light Machine Guns. They carry loads of ammo to provide support to the team. (Zer0's Preferred Loadout: Mk 48 Mod 0, PDW, and a Camo Outfit.) Pointman: A Pointman specializes in CQC/CQB, they prefer to use Shotguns with Pellet Shells or Submachine Guns, they are most effective indoors. (Zer0's Preferred Loadout: Bizon PP-19 SD, Makarov PM, and a Camo Outfit) Engineer: The Engineer helps provide parts for vehicles and help set up barricades, they are also the team's pilot/driver, more experienced at handling vehicles than others. They are to build and take down barricades for the team if necessary. (Zer0's Preferred Loadout: M1014, M9, and Civilian Clothing.) Gatherer/Scavenger: The Gatherer or Scavenger (Doesn't matter), gathers supplies for the group, and are mainly passive until needed. They help sort the team's stock and help direct the team towards points of interests that contain valuable supplies. (Zer0's Preferred Loadout: Lee Enfield, M1911, and a Female Character) Hunter: This role isn't important, but can be implemented in a team. They usually go out alone to hunt animals and refill water canteens, they stray away from all villages/towns/cities. (Zer0's Loadout: Double-Barreled Shotgun or Crossbow, Revolver, and Camo Clothing) Leader/Tactician: The Leader leads and supervises the team, they direct everyone, and make sure the team stays safe. They are the most important, and help provide planning for all operations, places for overwatch, paths to cross. They work closely with the Scavenger to take count of the team's stock, and for scavenging missions. (Zer0's Preferred Loadout: M16A3 ACOG, M9, and a Soldier Outfit) Lone Wolf: The Lone Wolf, depends mainly on themselves, and have their own choice on interacting with players (Seen at the top), they are extremely adaptable and versatile, they choose any kind of playstyle they want, whether it's sneaking or running through a town, or scaring players off. LeBanishedAngel Sniper 14 andersonspianoman (sorry) currently on 16 days instantly excellent in team maybe 2 hours if I want good equipment I will share if I have the excess supplies I am great at navigating, especially with vehicles. My team I am with now doesn't play that often and I want a second fun group. I have an coyote 26 slot backpack, m107, ghillie, all the tools, rangefinder, gps, nightvision, ect. Basically everything you can get in the game. -
No vehicles spawning on new server.

Slightly different problem here on UK205, vehicles are spawning, but totally random, i.e you save a ural at a camp, and after a restart it either changes to a bike / 4x4 truck, or disappears completely, same for all other vehicles, very frustrating and needs to be looked into, the persistent state of the game is also the core element of it, fix this before trying anything new ! -

Spent something like three hours chasing a vehicle. Found a V3S. Spent another 30 minutes driving it to our camp. Disconnected happy, posted it on our clan forum. Reconnected today: cheater teleported every vehicles to him. GG. I'm done with the game untill standalone. -

ArmA 2 servers generally do all of the AI processing for the players. so a well optimized mission/AI routines and great CPU will help much much more than an SSD. Also, this guide causes awful desync in vehicles on a fresh startup with less than 10 players. did some tweaking and it's much better, although it's pretty much back to the way it was before. -
LOL im sorry about all the restarts. Were having troubles with it atm so were debugging a couple things. Also, first chance at loot doesn't exist either...all the vehicles are despawning on our server so its been a free for all the whole time they have been up.

Hey Sam. I have spoken to our server host. He said that the tents and vehicles should save automatically. save. I However know this not to be true... as the server just restarted and we lost our motorbike and two bicycles. I wis htehre was a way to have a server message come up when the server has reset but that requires scripts and a dedicated server. Unfortunately this server is only a gameserver hosted by Vilayer. and a dedicated server would cost me 3 times as much per month so its not somthing thats going to be happening. We are currently playing around with what will be the best automatic restart times... Ill keep this thread updated with restart times.once we have finalised what times we want to keep them at... Any suggestions are welcome. -
Do tents disapear after they have been flattened?

Our camp was gone today on US 1192. Vehicles gone but the tents weren't there either. At first I thought we had been jacked but now I'm thinking the server reset or something? None of the tents are there and I thought there was a model of a flattened tent left over if you run them over... nothing is there. -
On the M107 you got a slideable zoom, on the AS50 its a toggle between the two scope levels. The AS50 is slightly bigger, at least I think. The AS50 makes less noise to players (i think the "aggro range" on zombies are the same. The AS50 can use both the AS50 rounds (MORE damage, mostly used on vehicles) and the normal M107 rounds (still one shot on players) Downside on the AS50 is the sounds. The M107 sounds WAY cooler, but if you have both, definatly go for the AS50.

I also use editor a lot to test out weapons, practice sniping, try out vehicles, etc. It is highly not recommended to learn how to fly a heli only when you find it in DayZ :D
