And yet I found your post out of shared interest in sabotage. You guys lack some serious intelligence. Here are the things you did wrong: You ran into and stopped at a camp. You failed to secure the area. You were shot at by my brother who hesitated to kill you but got no response. He is not the best shot in the world and that saved you. You rode your bike down a hill in the open and stopped at another set of tents just 270 meters from the place you almost died. I was out in the open as you rode by,had you paid attention you would have actually seen me. You also failed to look around the hostile area you stopped in because again you would have seen me approaching. You took fire and Alt F4'd. You returned to the game shortly at another position with an illegal weapon. Also in your original and as of this time unedited post you mention vehicles and tents but fail to mention hacked weapons. Had there been hacked weapons I believe this would have been a massive justification for using demo charges on the site yet you fail to mention this. Were you just feeeling gracious? Furthermore the camp was not undefended. There were 5 or 6 others within 500-1000m on other vehicles fast on their way. We were looking forward to a fight even against a ghosting Alt F4 hero. But you had to go script an illegal weapon in. Such a disappointment.

Oh boy, abundant vehicles was my first choice. I haven't found a single vehicle in near forever, because the majority of clans/groups have hoarded them up. -

They are just not playing on the hive is all. Private lan servers that actually allow vehicles to spawn in is the only way to go. I know its not how DayZ is ment to be played. But its nice knowing when you get back into the game your stuff will still be there. I will never step back onto the hive. -
Okay one more question: Is the "Spawning at the coast again"-problem really part and intention of the update or is the hive just messed up? I mean: server hopping IS a problem, but i often find crappy servers that I imediently disconnect from, but spawning on the coast after that is no solution. Also... when do tents and vehicles become a safe way to save items? Tents are almost useless because of that right now.

Here's a link to a map that has ALL loot spots, showing their value, howmany loot spots are in a house, what loot, what %, vehicles... the whole bazar! playing so far things i noticed are. still grapichs glitches. (people have said about turning off AA to fix it) the hero and bandit skins are in but arnt in the change log. they are extremly buggy, they mess with your backpack in many ways and magazine clips get refreshed also. if playing on 3rd person servers u can usually max zoom out of your char and see wider but with the as50 and l85 you cant seem to anymore. (only guns i tested) also had bugs with saving stuff in vehicles -

Not all vehicles spawn at "first time" server start. . The Hive controls them so it can take hours maybe days before they appear and they are often rare :D http://www.dayzwiki.com/wiki/Vehicles#Vehicles -
you should move on to a different server and exspand you reach....becasue if i think i know what im talking about on a different server you wont have anything...i mean you'll have your gear but no tents/vehicles....therefore you can start over without actually dieing....or you can wait till a hacker find your camp and blows it the efff up...happened to me:(

The server is new, we repaired the chopper as fast as we could and it was night time so no one else joined but one friend, and he was with us. We checked ALL of the Ural and UAZ spawns, and the V3S only has 1 spawn, which is at the canteen of solnichy. I wouldn't have made this thread if I hadn't checked all spawns first. It's just weird that some vehicles spawned but some simply won't. And again, I checked all of the spawns for Ural, UAZ, motorbikes, and none spawned, the V3S only has 1 spawn and it's not there either. -

If you have vehicles, they are definitely streaming from the hive. Like Priceless said, you may have not found them. They may have also been taken by others. -

You should be glad vehicles are even spawning. There are a lot of servers that do not have any vehicles at all spawning. -

So, most people here seem to agree about one concept: Right now, death is too cheap. All you loose is loot, and even then, with persistant vehicles, tents, etc... it's not that big of a deal. I, myself, when low on blood and faced with a long and difficult recovery, but plenty of loot, have been known to treck down to the coast and kill myself, so that when I respawn I can just run back and pickup my loot. Likewise, when encountering others, there isn't enough real incentive not to just kill them. These are all serious problems facing the mod, and I think I've discovered the perfect solution. 'nuff said. personally, I think this is absolutely inline with Rocket's stated goals for this project. I can't wait :D -
Hello, Yesterday we got out Instance ID for our new server and noticed that there are very few vehicles: - Chopper - Both off-road pickups - Bicycles - Slow crap cars (Like the yellow one on north-west) But I noticed that many good cars haven't spawned at all in the server in any of their spawns such as the Ural, the V3S, the UAZ.. Any idea as to why this is happening? Do I need to contact DayZ support or just wait?

I'm having some HIVE (7.3) issues since the latest patch. 1. Destroyed Vehicles don't respawn, waiting for over a week now. 2. During a server restart, the position of saved vehicles gets switched, that's right, log out besides a motorbike, and after the next server restart it's a bus! Anyone else having that issue?

So I get a new cache setup last night on my favorite server, getting ready to move to central Chernarus to help folks, everything's going as planned. This morning, double check everything. Looks good. Get off of my ATV to go find a few more supplies and the server goes down for the update. Finally able to log back in and my ATV that I had hidden is MIA. I figure that sucks, maybe someone found it, but not the end of the world. I hike it back to my tent to also find it and my associates truck missing. They aren't out in the open and there was pretty much no one on a stable connection, everyone was getting kicked who joined due to a high ping. I've been lead to the conclusion it's due to the servers updating... So, it may be too late but if you can make it back to your tents, vehicles, etc before they disappear, grab all of your important gear! It could be gone very soon and you could be like me, a doctor without any supplies. -
I don't like this idea. It would literally make the game a minefield, they would be EVERYWHERE, people would figure out how to put them inside walls, rocks, vehicles, nowhere would be safe. Staying alive is gonna be hard enough when they introduce dogs to the already acid-jumpy zombie population, and the trigger-happy survivor population.

Beforehand i apologize for my bad english, it's not my mother language and my english skills are acquired 20% through school and 80% through games and movies :P i've been playing DayZ quite a long time now, with the last 2-3 weeks really "serious" (some hours every day). i gathered all the shit i wanted (like Ghille/Camo Suit/L85A2/AS50/NVG/blabla all the shit), build up a campside with 5 or 6 tents, mostly filled with food cans/meat/water/soda and medical supplies, enough for a hole battalion to survive not only 1 zombie apocalypse, but 3. at this point i get really bored, i repaired some vehicles and helped some new players gear themselves, but i've no effin idea what to do now. i really like the setup of the game, and i fully understand that it is in alpha status, no endgame and so on. for sure i could sneak above electro/cherno and kill some snipers in the hills or those guys running a marathon through the city, followed by 50 zeds. but it's not thrilling me to kill other players for nothing and only to kill them. why ruin someone's fun at the game? i see no point in there. so i ask you to help me. any awesome ideas what to do? any community based organization i could support with supplies? any events like midnight crowbar fighting at he-who-must-not-be-named mountain w/o NVGs/flares/any light sources?

Perhaps if throwing tin cans triggered them? Potential traps in barracks could be avoided. Woods, behind vehicles on roads, etc you'd be screwed by.

We a currently having problems with several hacker, today we found 3 burned chopper and two intact choppers. After a few hours of flying, all the players in the server were teleported to Dobryy near Elektro. Also all vehicles were gone. We have encountered several hacker in the last 2 months, but we dont know what to do with this current problem. PS. We didn't know how many choppers are allowed on the server, because we thought 3 were allowed. We want to appologize to all our survivors, and we hope this matter will be resolved soon.
