I dont have vehicles and tents hoarded away stacked with everything in the game I usually just have and alice pack stacked with everything and a primary and secondary usually a lee enfield and a m1911. I have got the l85 tws and the as50 before but Why waste my time when I can 1 shot everyone with such a common weapon like a lee enfield. I hit cherno elektro a few barns and Im set and what else is there to do? shoot people and i just do that until i die.

So me and my friend was on a mission to find some vehicles earlier today and maybe find a camp or 2, after running the maps right border for a few hours and some tents later we stumbled upon a camp of 8 tents all full with night vision FAL x 3, a Bizon, MP5SD .. Lots of ammo, blood bags, morphine, cooked meat, full water bottles etc .. Well we also found a frag grenade each so after taking what we wanted decided to blow the tents up :D basically don't leave frags in your tents, that's just asking for them to be destroyed.

Ive seen that ATV and the Chopper spawn there at the same time quite often. Dont think they share any sort of spawn mechanic or anything at all. Your chopper has probably respawned somewhere else, or not at all. (Ive got at least 2 servers that dont seem to have a chopper at all, even though theres lots of other worthless vehicles spawned that all reset on server restart).

I use the AS50 to counter snipe AND fuck up vehicles, though. But yes, they should do so. Delete System 32, as well.

alright folks ive been playing for a few weeks now on my own and thought its about time to start/join a group. im looking for a few people who i can trust to set up a camp and play as survivors, but im all for some anti bandit/sniper raids on the towns and surrounding areas and heading to places we can gather good kit and some vehicles. im in the uk and usually use eu servers, can play evenings and weekends. pref 18+ but if your not a fud then its cool. i have a mic and skype. cheers.

I have rolled back my server to 1.7.2.4 however I am still having the problems with dissapearing items in tents and vehicles resetting. Would not having the latest beta patch for Arma2 have anything to do with this (currently at 95215)? Edit - Just more info: After updating to 1.7.2.5, everytime our server restarted everything would reset to as it was before the update, all vehicles would respawn and items in tents appear as they were pre patch. I then rolled back the server to 1.7.2.4 and it seemed to save again, once. Now we seem to have a different save that is reverted to everytime the server restarts (Different vehicle locations and tent items to what we had before the first update to 1.7.2.5). I have also seen the bug on my server where random busses appear in the place of other vehicles. This bug is hugely frustrating and game breaking as no-one can save anything on the server and is causing a lot of people to stop playing. Does anyone know how to successfully revert my server to 1.7.2.4?

i can confirm this. ALL vehicles were there and one disappeared in fornt of me earlier so i know they weren't driven. i got killed while there. i was also teleported before this all. The admins on this server is hackers defending themself... We have proof , if that's not enough we, we have a video recorded where we got banned for "hacking" where you could clearly see we did not. Long story short, we found a camp in Krutoy Cap and looted it, several minutes later 2 people ran up to a heli they just spawned and we killed them. Suddenly we got shot by a invisible guy just infront of us. The smoke came out of no where and we died.. That's when we derped around and they killed us by flying over us with helicopters. Somehow they knew where we were spawning AND where we parked our vehicles... I hope this server will be taken down and the admins banned if they havent been already.

That's it I have a plan now that I am a moderately successful solo survival girl and I call it Firepower to the People. Let's see what happens when we try to give pistols to new spawns. Not ammunition, mind you, just whatever extra firearm I can find. Makarovs, M1911s and .45 revolvers. If I don't find anyone, I'll place it an area new spawns might come across without risking the major cities. I left a nice M1014 and some ammunition in a lighthouse earlier. Newer players tend to go to these places while learning, so what a nice surprise. I don't know anything about recording but if I did I'd try and film me as I chase down unarmed players to sneak a pistol into a backpack. After 26 days of surviving and not finding any vehicles, the hunting animals, killing zombies and avoiding players has become dull. If I die, I die. I'm good enough now to get basic gear pretty fast. Snipe if you like, be a bandit, kidnap and torment, blow up churches, hey that's all fine. Me, I'll be cutting barbed wire and handing out little noisemakers, on random servers of the pacific and western time zone variety. Firepower to the People. My silly little way to keep DayZ exciting.

As many of you probably know, ATVs have a tendency to flip on their sides. Once flipped they're fairly difficult to right, although it's possible to wriggle the wheels around and get it back upright. This isn't such a big problem because you can easily avoid it by just driving carefully. Oh shit, unless you find the ATV at Pobeda Dam. See, here's the thing. Some asshat decided that: 1. ATVs driving on bridges (or dams) randomly flip over. 2. ATVs are annoyingly hard to right once flipped over. 3. I could totally spawn the Pobeda Dam ATV 50 meters to the right, just next to the bridge. 4. HA HA FUCK THAT. Seriously, this is the third ATV I've found here. The first two flew into the sky, landed, and blew up while I was trying to drive them off the Dam. Now, I'm not going fast either. I'm inching the ATV off the dam as slowly as I possible can. Suddenly, my ATV is a god damn jet plane and I'm bombing the Russians before turning into a human fireball sacrifice to the boar gods. The third ATV is the only one to not murder me so far, but it rolled over THREE GOD DAMN TIMES trying to move it 10 feet onto real land. On the third time I ran out of gas and patience and just ragelogged. tl;dr Dear Guy-who-places-the-vehicle-spawns, There is clearly a problem with ATVs and bridges/dams. I cannot imagine that you're unaware of this. Ergo, you KNOWINGLY PLACED THE ATV SPAWN ON THE DAM JUST TO FUCK WITH PEOPLE. Why? I literally cannot think of a single reason to not just move the spawn off the dam. Unless you really like just showcasing how broken this game can be at times. PS, Tell Rocket to quit working on loading screens and start working on things like implementing a flip feature for flip prone vehicles (bikes, motorcycles, atvs). Or hey, at the very least stop spawning vehicles on top of trampolines.

Rocket and co dont have to fix a damn thing. Why? Alpha. Alpha all the way until its released as a complete game. And even then.... Alpha. Even once its not an alpha and you find a bug don't whine about it. Why? Alpha. Shut up the ATVs are working properly no need to move them 50ft off the dam. Idiot. Alpha. Besides, we got DOGS next patch. Alpha. Thats far more important than vehicles that work, or a game that ACTUALLY loads in and works properly so we can test it. Alpha.

We updated to 1.7.2.5, but after reviewing the problems with tents, vehicles, etc we have decided to revert back to 2.4 for the time being. We are still updated to the latest Arma2 OA patch (95948). We look forward to seeing everyone on!

I was chasing a player (that killed on sight a noob lost at north) near the-not-pronounceable-place Mountain. And in the base of the mountain I saw a Tractor, in straight line from the deer stand in 31-90 . So I run for it =] BUT!! For some reason, when I saw the tractor, it simply disappeared from my sight!Puff... I continued to ruuun around, and I found it... I began to be scared, this object just teleported to another place, just near you-know-where... I got courage and geared in it. But, nothing, its was empty.. weary. Who park a empty tractor? Any way, I mounted it make a ride after the news born killer. Maybe run over him B) So I take a ride: I decide to go to Pustoshka, maybe that player is going to there? But near the city, I started to heard many shoots, a Light Machine Gun for sure!! OMG that tractor is in red, I will be killed in explosion!! Nothing happened.... I was in open field and continues to drive... if I dismount, I will get a broken leg and a bullet for sure :( . If I stop and dismount, at that rate of fire, I will get killed for sure... SO FULL SPEEEED!! Yep, this is full speed :} . I went to Pustoshka, again at shoot range. How?! I was driving a tractor!! Any way, I'm save now, just dismount, get a good shoot position and take my M14 :D BUT soon as I dismounted, the tractor began to scream!! A pain scream, this is a cursed vehicle?! WHY I stolen this tractor from you-know-where?! It must be cursed!! I run like a girl, not looking behind :( BANG!! Explosion... Sudden the shoots stopped. I was near a house, I came in. No sound (just zeds all over the place).... I got my balls at the ground and decided to see what happened to the tractor. Burned. No zed nearby, no shoots. I thought "The shooter it's coming to kill me!!" So I waited almost 5 mins... nothing.. So I start to running around the city... NO ONE! No one appeared!! What the hell, who was shooting?! That cursed tractor!! Its was kidding with my fears!! Daaaam the-not-pronounceable-place Mountain and it vehicles!! All cursed!! CURSED!!!! CUUURSED!!! NEVA GONA FOORGOT WHAT HAPPENED IN YOU-KNOW-WHERE!! NEVEEEER!!!!

If it's a 1.7.2.5 server I would guess that it returned to its spawn location. However, it's hard to know for sure since the cause can be anything really, some servers don't spawn vehicles due to a hive issue, others respawn them at 1.7.2.4 locations if the vehicles had a previous 'owner' and the server was upgraded to 1.7.2.5 so all you can do is check spawn points or where you found that ATV. My suggestion is to ignore vehicles until it's fixed if you know your server is affected by the problem or there will be tears after server restarts.

Take a look at the map and think where you would place your tent. Most likely other players think the same - at spots that are easy to remember, at a lake, on top of a hill, inside bushes etc. Especially around the most popular towns bandits place their tents for ammo and backup. The pro players use heli and vehicles to drive to their camps, this means very often up in the north where noob players cannot easily reach ´em.

Hey We have recently set up a Dayz server and he have came across a slight problem bit confused as well We have a automatic restart at 6 am and when that restarts our vehicles are not where we saved them , they have gone back to there spawn Could Anyone help us ???
