We rolled back to 1.7.2.4 as a result of this, vehicles are fine. I'd rather avoid Starey Sober (Graphics glitch) then lose all my progress each server reset!

I have also tried rolling back and so on, still wont save neither tents or vehicles. Some word from the Dev team about this would be nice....

So I tried logging in to one of my favorite servers and I get this message BattlEye Banned (you may have cheated). I can still join other server except for US 1726. I really like that server because that is where all my tents and vehicles I've spent hours searching and fixing. I've worked hard on that server to get all my stuff and all legal.. What does it mean? was i banned by admin? banned by battleye? can it be fix?

No problems, minus the whole tents and vehicles wiping thing... lol

First rule? Don't get attached to your shit.. Not a bad idea, but.. It wouldn't make for alot of diffrence in any case. Farm rax, find car's.. Just gonna add more farming to the allready lacking "end-game" potential it doesn't have.. Looking forward to the base building idea however. But so far.. Its pretty sad that people cant play the game without scripting or hacking to get ahead. Ive been killed by hackers, and Ive had One hacker to this day after close to 2 months. It doesnt really get under my skin losing vehicles or gear anymore just because I get a thrill out of initially starting with nothing, grouping with buddies and trying to get gear again! Anyways, shitty to hear that man!

It's all in Seattle because they had admin panel enabled, all scripted in vehicles and weapons.

Died 3 times yesterday through other players since regular was set up. While I won't whine about it, I will say, that at least 2 of these deaths would not have happened without nametags. Also, when they will have fixed vehicles, you will be thankful for nametags off, because you can see vehicles from miles away, no matter how good they are hidden. P.S. If you can't find the server, your filter settings are wrong. Just filter "dayz" and in the name field type fr191, and you WILL find the server ingame.

The way they work seems like it's going to be awesome. The forum will be flooded with tears over the lost companions but I think they will be worth it. I personally can't wait to find my 1st dog, I've already got his name picked out. I'm only curious how they will work if you travel in vehicles.

Its not even the fact that they were duping and hacking weapons and shit, and hoarding all the vehicles, that isnt even the worst part, its the part where i somewhat skillfully take out 4 guys who all had better guns than me, M4A1 CCO SD, M16A2, AK-74u, and the other had a AKM with 1 mag which was the first guy i killed and just took his mag, spread out between all 4 of them was a full chars worth of gear, i had everything a guy could ask for, and it was all taken away by one noob with a hatchet, there was beyond more that enough to pass around, but the greedy prick just HAD to kill me and take what i had, its not like he helped or anything, everything i had was on those bodies i didnt even hide them, pretty much everything i picked off them was on another body, except mabey the gun, but come on really? and a new update, after server hopping and spawning in elektro again, i moved through the pitch black city and go to the far firestation, where the powerplant is, and right as i finish looting it and have a gun, a M1014 but whatever, i climb on the roof to make a quick getaway off the ladder to avoid zombies, and i get fucking shot by a bush turd with NVG and a DMR, and thats when i called it quits for the night.

August 19, around 11 pm. All vehicles were teleported to one area outside Kamenka, with passengers and drivers in them. There were a lot of death messages after that, and two messages that popped in the middle of the screen, followed by being teleported up into the air to fall to my death. I was recording on fraps at the time, there are four videos in sequence. Something that was suggested that Rocket said he was interested in implementing and looking into having more vehicles but less fuel points or rarer parts to fix them with.

Old post but yep, these guys use hacked weapons. Just avoid the server, + they reset it alot so dont bother saving vehicles when you grab'em. Most are @ default spawns.

OP "Why won't everyone agree with me!? rawr?" Seriously just don't server hop and you won't encounter this problem. I have no idea how people don't remember a server that they connect fast too and get good FPS. Also this will greatly help you find a vehicle staying on the same server you will actually cover ground and know where vehicles AREN'T and you'll eventually find one. I'm saying this because your obviously new and need help with the game!

do the vehicles spawn in the exact same location every time? or are they within a given click...like next to a building, but it might spawn 100m in any direction? i have YET to get a single vehicle..the only one ive seen was a bus that just needed two wheels, but it was on a laggy server so i left. basically im tired of running around with wheels, jerry cans, etc when ill never need them and they just take up tons of space in my tent/backpack.

Well hurry up and post it. I cant wait to see you destroy a camp that isn't even mine and blow up a white truck which again isn't the one I have. It is amazing how all of our other vehicles were taken again with you all on the server. Oh and also the members that a hacker teleported in front of a shot. Simply Amazing.

Same shit here. I upgraded to 1.7.2.5 and voila my tents and vehicles were there, however only the items that were put in when the server was running 1.7.2.4. However any vehicle repairs and positions will save after a restart. In fact, the vehicle's positions will save place without having to select "save vehicle" from the scroll menu. But the vehicle's contents, just like the tents will only revert back to what there were before. And just like you, any new tents or vehicles will not save at all. So I decided to downgrade back to 1.7.2.4 and still no dice. This shit is completely broken. Found a silenced M4a3 CCO and lost it to a non-saving ATV. This is really breaking the game for me cause I set up tents all around the map with stuff so If I die, I can come back and re-gear or get sustenance on my way back to my main camp. Which means I cannot add new items into my tens. Kind of makes the game pointless if you cannot put your stuff anywhere. And I do not like the fact that this allows duping to occur. I mean I know it was always an issue with tents but, I think this needs to be a top priority. If you cant save anything, then its not an RPG, its an Arcade!

US1896 US1896 is currently just over one week old. We are inviting people to come join us and have some fun. Most vehicles are still on the map and the helicopter will be spawning in a few days. (Some player got disconnected while flying it and it crashed and blew up) I tried to restart the server for him since a scheduled restart was only 15 minutes away (since I seen where he lost connection) but the chopper was gone and left a huge dent in the trees where it blew up at. I currently have myself and one more admin keeping watch pretty much 24/7 to make sure everything is running smoothly. We are based on -6 CENTRAL TIME ZONE and our hosting is out of Dallas, TX. Also the server restarts every 6 hours, 3am, 9am, 3pm, 9pm CENTRAL TIME. Other than that I just wanted to invite you all to come try us out and maybe a few will stay a while. I have yet to witness any pussy actions by this clan. I can say that they restart the server whenever it gets laggy due to hackers spawning choppers or vehicles, but that's just normal. Then the suspected hacker, who is monitored closely at first, gets banned. They don't ban players because they are killing off the clan. We get killed then that's too bad. We come back and try again. That is all I have witnessed as an 11th member.

Wanna have fun? Forget going up north to get all those awesome weapons and vehicles. The former will go away when you get killed and the latter won't stick around for long with all the bugs and hackers going around. If you want to have FUN, either as a survivor or a bandit, stay near the starting areas. You are more likely to run into other people there. If you want to cooperate, then it's the best place to make friends, and if you want to be just like the rest and kill indiscriminately, that's faster than sniping some hill up north and you may even come upon gear it'd take hours to find. Just my suggestion.

I've been playing on Atlanta Chernarus Server, it's fucking awesome. Vehicle spawns are on high, and it's one hundred slot. It's one of the most realistic servers, due to its large amount of vehicles, and players. It is almost always full, and has extreme lag, however the admins readily ban anyone who uses VON over side, hackers, and loggers. It is pretty fun.

So Friday night, my friend Garrett and I have an epic night of crash sites. Steal a URAL, hit the airfield etc... We decide lets look for helicopters! We drive along the mountains aimlessly and eventually spot a couple of cars in the distance! We drive up, start looking at the gear and... BAM BAM, oh crap it isn't empty. (we are dumb) Needless to say we die and lose the UAZ. I'm pissed, we got greedy and dumb. I run into a bike on my trek North to the URAL and think. You know what, I'm going to go looking for my UAZ. I spend the next 6 hours searching and just about give up. I hear a vehicle in the distance as I'm staring at my map, oh crap! I think I'm spotted and run off. I log in the next morning and decide to check the area I think it was going, JACKPOT! Cars and guns galore!!! I quickly load a small green car up with stuff and take off back to camp and log off happy. I later decide, hmmm I wonder if that was the same group and I didn't search hard enough for my UAZ, I should go look! Log on, it's pitch effing black. Screw it, I don't have a compass but I'm a blood hound I can figure this out. I go running in the general direction, wedge a penny in my keyboard and hope. I eventually find the general area, I break out the flashlight and pray. Eventually, I give up and use some flares I had found earlier. I search for about 15 minutes and find a tractor... I wander the area for 5 or more minutes and... UAZ! I'm thrilled at this point, I grab it and go. I drive for a couple of minutes and decide, I'd rather fuel it up here than run out later. After adding some gas, I save it. I drive off to my camp again high on life. I get to the area of my camp and start looking in this pitch black soup for my URAL, BAM RESET. I spend the next 15 minutes stumbling around looking for my UAZ, nothing. A little voice inside reminds me I refueled the UAZ and saved somewhere in the fields around the damn. If I can find their camp in pitch black I can run into my UAZ again. More penny wedged running, search for 30 minutes bingo. Get it back to camp and I'm thinking I'm the shizzz. I'm super hyped but paranoid. I log in periodically to look at my spoils of war and they are good. Then, my heart sinks. Everything is gone, vanished. Hedgehogs intact. I run around, see that my stupid blue van is still intact and think well crap I better go hide this. Knowing I haven't repaired it much, I try and be careful. This thing has already killed me once when I tapped a tree at 2 mph. I'm driving, searching for a place to hide and... tree. I fall out die. FML About to quit the game and say screw it I decide I should at least run to my body and recover my gear. I run for another 30 minutes and get back in the area, hit up the bus we left out somewhere else and it's tires are shot out and a tree seems to be knocked over. I find an M14 AIM and decide to head to my body. I hear the flies and see the two M4's and some ammo I was holding for friends but no AS50 or ghillie. Thinking it only saved the items in my backpack I decide to transfer them back to the bus. I drop the M14 and start carrying back the guns. I'm going back for the M14 when I catch movement out of the corner of my eyes... I'm close to the M14 now, I could probably run for it. No, I'm going to see if this is the group I took the car from (and UAZ I'll call mine). I run up to him he shouts "Don't move", I decide to at least duck behind a tree. He walks up and says, let me check yout backpack. Not having many options, I stand there stupid. He says "What's your name bud". I say, "Are you the guys we've been trading vehicles with?". He replies "I'm the guy that blew up your vehicles". POP POP POP As I lay dead I respond with the only thought that came to mind, "Oh, ok...." I prompty log off and go to bed. Eff this game. Glad I could make someones day, I appreciate a good case of Schadenfreude. My question, why in the heck would you take that stupid green car over a URAL or UAZ?!?! Oh and apparently I'm an addict, my bad night ended with me still logging on looking for beans when I woke up. Man I'm stupid.
