  1. * Server this happened on: - DE 1243 * Time that it happened including your timezone. - repeated hack activity between GMT 10.30 pm and 11.30 pm * What happened during the incident. 1. mass teleport to a place left of kamyshovo followed by ~8 kills (those guys who didnt log out fast enough) 2. Friend and me managed to log out fast enough and whe decided to relog on the same server to see what is going on as we both didnt have any valuable gear that we could have lost. We looted some stuff from the dead bodies that where laying around and hided in the bushes. Then we saw a team of ~4-8 people coming with vehicles and helicopters trying to scout and loot the cheating place (likely friends of the hacker who collect the gear (they where obviously well organized). We started shooting them killed 2 and I got killed finally, my friend logged out. 3. After revive Electro had a burning texture layed over the city 4. a bit later the hacker let everybody dance 5. a bit later the left people on the server where lifted in the air 6. after restart mass teleport to the hacker again with killing of about 3-4 people (only) again (this was ~ 11:25 pm gmt time) edit: during relog the message "angela merkel the goddess of europe lets you dance" was shown as well as during those dancing episodes itself. -------------------- now since 11.30pm gmt it seems quiet (since 10 minutes) but I will report further activity here! Why the hell cant I identify hackers on my fucking own server and ban them? It is ridiculous. This all happens on our (me and the friend who played with me) own server. Why do we fucking pay for it if we cant even ban hackers? p.s. is there any trick how to identify the hackers name when such stuff happens?
  2. Found out where the cars go. On us 2123 i was in a bus 3 min before server restart, racing to try and get to my body before restart wipes all the gear, when the bus was teleported into a body of water with all the other vehicles appearing as well. I then died immediately and my passenger was beside the vehicle bleeding out as if the bus blew up. So if you vehicles are disappearing after server restarts they are probably being teleported to the ocean with all the rest. Try sitting in your vehicle 3 min before restart and see what happens.

    I don't want military vehicles as much as I want vehicles to be more common. In a real Russian country side you would find WAY MORE vehicles than guns, which is what the mod has reversed ATM.

  6. Server: US 2551 Time: 5:10pm to 5:30pm PST Description of attack: Someone came into the server, teleported to one of our players in the server, and engaged in voice chat. A few seconds later, the player was killed, followed by EVERYONE teleporting into 100feet into the air and dying on impact. Afterwards, there was a message everytime you logged in, saying, "Hello everybody, say goodbye to your vehicles".
  7. One thing, the DayZ Wiki, search it, go into it, then go to "vehicles" find your vehicle of choice, click on it and then it will show you all the info you need to know regarding it.
  8. As someone with an m107 and a couple magazines in their pack, I feel I can safely say that these weapons really don't need to be in the game. In the context of a mil-sim with zombies and survial elements, an anti-material rifle is obscenely inefficient. As the OP stated, these things are damn heavy, running around with them for days and weeks across the countryside really isn't feasable. In the context of a survival FPS anti-material rifles are entirely too powerful. Hitting hard enough to to kill at any point on the body without any real drawbacks to its use. The other sniper rifles require actual precision for 1-hit kills where the AS50 or M107 will kill a player three times over just for making contact. And let's face it, for every thosand kills from these rifles, only a couple vehicles are being disabled. Keep sniping fun and rewarding, remove these or make them soak up both the primary weapon and backpack slot so using one is an actually meaningful decision.

    from what i know, all servers are pretty much the same in regard to the disappearing of items in tents/vehicles.

    Got to love how the hackers he just globally banned come here and try to accuse us of the things they just got banned for. the amusing thing is.. WE have the video and sreenshots of them not only using a magnet script to pull vehicles.. backpacks and an assortment of goodies to the island.. we ALSO have screens of thier dead bodies.. names linked to their bodies through the inspect command with thier backpacks showing the G36sd which was clearly a hacked weapon. video of these players teleporting to the island.. oh.. and when you finally got the chopper to lift off.. us sniping the driver and the other 3 dying in the crashing inferno. enjoy your global ban.. the evidence has been submitted and it will stick. and PS.. rocker is NOT SLF.. hes vVv.. one of the server admins. bandits of skill we welcome your challange. Script kiddies.. well lets just say of the 15+ regulars.. 6 of them have recording software.. and all of us LOVE takeing screenshots. come in here hacking.. and get caught.. expect a global hive ban from DayZ. Get caught playing in a group WITH hackers.. expect a local ban.
  12. If inventory and backpack saving are working correctly, why isn't tent and vehicle saving functional? Doesn't make sense to me. Hackers I can avoid, passing out for five minutes occasionally upon login I can bare, zombies instantly breaking my legs I can avoid or cope with, but my items simply not being saved is taking away the game. Looting and surviving are the two halves of this mod. When your inventory is stocked with high end gear and vehicles and tents can't save loot properly, that removes 1/2 of the game alone, there's no more looting to be done since none of it saves. All that's left is surviving, which consists of eating, drinking, and using Heat packs; there's no substance at that point. Really, I'm not ranting, I just can't fathom why something so critical isn't fixed after all of these patches. It's not as if storing gear is a new feature, been around forever and still they don't work properly. Sharing my thoughts and looking for opinions, really. Is there any reason for this not to be fixed? Do you all think this is critical? Should fixing these problems come before login optimization and graphical glitch fixing?
  13. I am at my wits end here, I don't know what to do. My server is having serious issues with it's Vehicles. Two days ago, the White Off-Road Truck turned into a Tractor. At first I thought someone was having a laugh. They had found my hiding place, stolen the Truck, then parked a Tractor in it's place. It was funny. Then it happened again but this time with the Motorcycle. The Motorcycle, was originally the white one...after the next restart it turned into the Red Dirt-bike. It stayed as the Red Dirt-bike for several restarts. Today, it became a Tractor. Or, again, maybe someone is having a laugh by finding it and replacing it with the tractor. I would just laugh it off as someone having a good time messing with me and I'd be perfectly okay with this except, there is another vehicle transmorphing and it's reproducible. The UAZ which spawns at Altar consistently transforms into the White Off-Road Truck after a reboot once it's been repaired, moved to a new location, then saved. We've been able to do this twice now. I expect at the next server restart the White Off-Road Truck will despawn as it did last time, then sometime in the future the UAZ will spawn at Altar in disrepair. I'll happily video it this next time around just to show it. But I doubt seeing it will actually help anyone figure this out. I'm going to pour through all my logs and hope to see some script being fired that a script kiddie/hacker is using to move vehicles around. Because this would explain why vehicles disappear to be replaced by tractors. But the UAZ thing...I don't think can be explained this way. Does anyone have any advice? I can do with the help.
  14. I never said I don't like this game. I said the tent/vehicle bugs are a problem. Are you disagreeing? do you think tents and vehicles not saving properly was intended or something? Of course people will start PVPing more once they are bored of collecting guns, which would happen much slower if they could actually save them.

    My only advice: Tents and vehicles are badly broken right now, for everyone, on any server, at any given time. Sometimes they work, sometimes they simply disappear, sometimes they morph. Wait for Rocket to fix this mess and don't waste any more time on them until then.
  16. This isn't a game, this is a mod. If you don't like it don't play it. Even if tents and vehicles are fixed, then what are you going to do once you have 50 of every different gun saved in a little campsite? Exactly.. You're going to go kill people.

    Don't fix vehicles; the save function is broken and all that will happen is the vehicle will go back to it's orignal spawn point since 1.7.2.5 and be broken again. Don't bother wasting your time.

Until they fix the tents/vehicles not saving, there is NOTHING to do except PVP. after you get a couple decent primaries there is no reason to look for more loot (can't be saved), and now that it's pointless to fix up vehicles or start a camp, there is nothing to do after finding a weapon/supplies except for PVP. Tents/vehicles are an important part of the game, it's retarded that it hasn't been fixed yet. DayZ is just a big game of TDM to most people without tents/vehicles. Edit: I don't have a problem with PVP at all, but I don't want DayZ to be a big team deathmatch, which is exactly what is going to happen if they don't fix this broken game. Since the last patch its the only thing to do.

    I can only confirm that I have had the same thing. Across many servers in the last two weeks have fixed an ATV, a van, and a bus, all of which disappeared on a server restart. The ATV we confirmed was back where it spawned, needing repair again. The bus and van we didn't bother. This was on different servers, and were only vehicles we fixed from spawn - not a the few other vehicles we found and fixed that we can't be sure were legit because they had been driven before. Not sure if its *every* restart, or if there are multiple ways of re-initializing/patching the server that may cause it, just know what we've experienced. it's a shame, because having to fix and maintain the vehicle was adding a totally new level of fun in the game.

  21. Yes, we hosted 1896 and when we upgraded to 1.7.2.5 none of the tents or vehicles was saving. So we renamed it to a more suitable name and reverted back to 1.7.2.4 so vehicles and tents save now. Whenever we hit 1.7.2.5 all our tents and vehicles disappeared on us, every other server restart some of the vehicles would appear and some wouldn't, then the next restart they would all appear again. Was a weird bug so it forced us to downgrade back to 1.7.2.4 and now everything works like normal. It appears when we upgraded then downgraded DayZ versions all vehicles went back to their original spawn points. So all the vehicles are in the world again.

  23. Inventory. In OP post it shows how player is having two primary weapons (one already holding and other one in backpack). I don't like that idea. This might be an accident where OP was just showing and didn't care about being same but still, not a great idea. I don't want a bandit which has a sniper and a full auto gun which gives him ultimate power of defending himself. But as OP showed, the guns that you hold in your arms and sidearm are not in your inventory which i find a lot more realistic and useful. This way it allows players to store more supplies that they need. The OP inventory is much more user friendly and it gives it a really nice and simple look but i don't like the grid type of inventory. With this grid type you will end up playing tetris inventory where you would adjust your things inside to make space for something else etc. It should keep spaces like it has now, 1 space = 1 can of food/water/bandage etc. I noticed how on OP picture there isn't a part where you should see items that you loot. Maybe it's the item list on side. If so then it should only list items that appear in loot not in your inventory. Also pockets in your torso and pants should be combined. Health. Lets be healthy, drink a lot of water, watch what you eat and go to gym LOL. Health system as it is posted here seems too much. If it would have all that it would become frustrating, too realistic and just unplayable. I do like how there would be some diseases like a cold or fever, but that's as far as i would go. Having some life threatening diseases would need you to either team up with someone who could get you necessary stuff or you could just die from it because you are in no shape to get your supplies. And seriously this whole energy thing is load of crap. It would complicate things too much and honestly, you are in a period of apocalypse, if you're hungry you don't have time to watch what will give you more energy or whatever. Also the whole organs thing is also too much. Its like saying don't drink the most found drink in the game (sodas) because your liver will fail after some time. Wounds system seems good but as you said it it makes it too complicate. It would be nice to see it ingame but you should be able to heal your wounds on some easier way and shouldn't be like you could lose your limb (game over). Bruise is useless because if you have a bruise on lets say your leg because somehow you were clumsy ingame and you bumped yourself somewhere (oh god imagine that), even if you have one the pain wont last more than some 5-10 minutes, unless you were so unlucky ingame that your whole leg is blue because you are one big clumsy idiot. You basically made 90% of your inventory only medical supplies because you never know if you gonna bump yourself somewhere or catch a cold or lose a limb.... Health system should be separated from blood but blood amount should depend on your health. For example, 12000 blood = 100% health, if your blood level drops real bad to lets say 4000 or less, your health starts to decrease slowly and you need to find some way to get your blood back to normal level. Zombies and their behavior. I like the idea of zombie herds. The idea of a herd of 50 zombies just appears at your place and attacks you is just mind blowing. As it seems like a good idea still, they shouldn't go through woods. I really like that woods are like a safe zone from zombies, i can then take my time to see if i need something, make a fire, rest a bit from madness that is out there. I also like the idea of different types of zombies with an exception that the "infected" ones which are fast and aggressive still shouldn't be faster than you. Trading. Barely useless because you can have some bandit who wants to trade and he can just shoot you and you lose all your stuff in end. Map. Definitely a bigger map. Leave the map as it is now but add more. Cherarus+ as some people say. Add some modern cities with supermarkets and police stations. Maybe some islands. Underground parts like caves, bases old overrun quarantines. Also there should be like wrecked ambulance vehicles where you can find medical supplies. Weather and seasons. I saw that there is a section about clothing and it would be really good if there would be seasons. If you would be able to change clothes it would be good if you pick up a coat or some warmer clothes because winter is nearing. On winter time players and zombies should be much slower because of snow and it would force players to start making a fireplace in the woods near city and go from time to time for required supplies like food and water. This might sound boring but if you have warm clothes then you can still go around but your body temperature will drop slowly. Looking forward to a standalone DayZ, so far game is amazing and fun even tho its in alpha and has a lot of bugs. TL;DR Most of the OP stuff is good but health is too complicated.
  24. We just tested this on our server - had the blue van at Soli and the 2 boats nearby. Put gear in them, save all 3 3 times and restarted the server. On restart, all have respawned back to their places and all damaged so need fixing again. So this patch just made tents and vehicles broken, didn't fix the graphical glitch so what was the point of it?
