Helicopter D-Spawns every time the server restarts.

Maybe you should rent a server or play better. I have found plenty of vehicles And shot lots of people for them. But no its not good it means the game is unstable and will never work right. this even happens with tents. -

Finding scripted inventory items on a player or in their tents or vehicles is not even close to proof of them being a scripter. It doesn't even mean those items were scripted into that particular server. Have you bothered to look at the script log? -

Most of the vehicles in the game are pretty much old, cold-war era vehicles since the country the game is set in is a war-torn russian country. Sport bikes in a russian rural country with cold-war era technology would in fact be pretty out of place. -

I was planning to build camp but tents not saving gear, I got all the gear i need and had even more but it lost in the tent, found ghillie suit and camo, found vehicles, so there is nothing more to do, I don't want to go "hunting", so there is no much stuff to do for a friendly survivor. Azrail what do you mean not fit? cars fit in game? ATV fit in game? dirt bike fit? and sport bike doesn't? -

GREAT server. usually the only one I play in. (needs more players) Very fast loading. No hoarding of vehicles. - and yes. someone has the chopper :D -
just so were clear the clothing dupe is a problem with the arma2 engine and cannot be fixed unless he takes out clothing changes. so until he does that; all restarting will do is let the people who know how to play the game (fix vehicle on 4 hour server, control crash sites, dupe gear, control barracks with duped gear) crush the noobs 1000x worse it took me all of 1 1/2 nights to get 75% full geared on current servers (vehicle + high end gear). if i had free reign to know that all vehicles are at their spawn points id be crushing noobs by the end of the night

I've always found the north to be the best unless there is an active Huey on your server. It's soooo expansive so it makes it damn near unbareable for people to search (though I won't lie I've done it before) but with a Huey it's a matter of 10 minutes to find numerous camps. The only bad thing about the north is it's a tad bit out of the way and without vehicles it's quite a treck. I'm currently researching new locations that I can put down a low profile camp that is within walking distance to good loot areas. And when I say low profile I'm talking a tent and maybe a dirt bike or ATV.

So yes hacking is a big problem in Day Z. From dupeing to teleporting to insta killing it is seemingly a part of life. So I have a question. Why are there only a few hacked weapons and vehicle? Bare in mind here Im not talking in quantity here but in varity. I mean if I took the time to learn how to hack this mod, you can bet the last thing I'd spawn for myself would be a thermal scoped 50 cal... There's a whole assortment of silenced rifles and such that would be much more fun and entertaining to use. And dont even get me started on vehicles. Who the fuck spawns a SUV when theres a AH-1 helo w/ auto cannon... I guess Im just upset because not only do we have to deal with hackers, we have to deal with the most uncreative bunch of losers known to the community. Come on guys, if your going to cheat at least cheat in something cool...

-I've never managed to fix headlights when I fucked up an UAZ's even tho I fixed everything on it even if it wasn't needed. -dayz wiki has the spawn per server and spawn locations of all vehicles as well as other useful stuff like storage space, how many players it can carry and so on. -
Making a poll here Should all of dayZ be wiped and set back? A lot of people are complaining that with the unlimited ammo and duping that was happening in an earlier version, people ae just to well equipped at the time So, do you want a complete reset of tents, gear, vehicles etc. or not? or just when duping is completely fixed? feel free to post comments

Good times in DayZ :) Last night my friends and I repaired a V3S looted m14, fal nv, nvgs, rangefinders, mk 48s, m14, l85 ect... we setup a tent assuming it would eat everything, saved our V3S assuming it would disappear with everything. Woke up to find the V3S still there, but it indeed did eat everything. Atleast I have a V3S to drive around and loot stuff again. I never have vehicles last more than a day or two before disappearing. It's just part of the game atm, it is very buggy.

Rocket and co should wipe all tents and vehicles. All characters while they're at it. The mod has gotten out of control with an inflation of gear via duping and vehicle hording that has gone beyond levels of reason. However, they should only implement this kind of radical action when/if they get duping and hacking in weapons under control. -
Plus the north is where clans stash all their vehicles, so with some patience and a lot of searching, you can find another ride without even having to repair it. All my past vehicles (2 motorcycles, 4 ATVs, hatchback, Ural truck) were all stolen.

Got a Server from Zap-Hosting, dont know if its their fault or the fault of the Hive, but Tents and Vehicles wont save on my Server. I asked the Zap-Hosting Support if its possible to downgrade to another Version so it gets fixed (many people in this forums said so), but they just said "nope". Now im paying for a Server we cant play on, because every progress we make wont get saved. Yay! -
You don't even have to know tent locations - just head to the nw airfield - on the way there is a high chance to find at least one heli crash site. If you have friends with vehicles it is even easier - he can just pick you up in a car. Zombies are such a joke that they could easy not even be there - I have not died from them yet - and probably never will if they continue to be that harmless.

Your first post was a reply to mine... Were you dropped on your head as a child? And lol at the second part of your post... I love the way that's literally all any asshat like you can say... I'm pretty much at end-game minus vehicles the whole time and I play solo, without tents, lol. This game isn't hard, even without player killing. I think they're both actually phrases which makes them pretty meaningless TBH, lol.

I lol'd Srsly, one of the worst excuses ever.... "No one is banned for using non-hack programs (like Fraps, overlays, etc.), picking up or using hacked in-game items, weapons or vehicles, being on a server at the same time as a cheater, or other passive non-cheating activity."

1.7.2.5 Tents and Vehicle Inventories not saving.

My server is running 1.7.2.4 and am now having issues with that as well in terms of saving vehicles and tents.. Not to the extent of 1.7.2.5 though. I think it is time (since the standalone won't use it) to get rid of the hive server. -
Rocket is experimenting as he sees fit. We can't have too many vehicles in the map because of server stability and same goes for zombies spawning in the woods. (Though, it was supposedly planned ages ago.) The reason we only spawn on the shore, is that what's the point in trying to play from the shore when you can just kill yourself and try to get closer to the NWAF? And, vehicles DO despawn if no one uses them in a while.

This game has often been referred to as an experiment—I'd like to see more experimentation though! Spawn loot changes were great, and it was good to play both with and without the starting makarov. Try spawning us all over the map. Add more vehicles, make gas rarer, experiment with zombie spawn locations (occasionally in the woods, maybe?). What would happen if you made it so that vehicles could despawn if noone had used them for a while? We'll probably bitch and moan a bit, but we do that no matter what goes on.

to be honest I would like to see everyone start from scratch but only items (wepons, vehicles, tents) related .. the time you have survided stay the same.. Dont know if its possible but I believe that for the "experience" rocket wanted us to have, well.. it no longer exists, now its just die > go tent I know > full geared in 20 mins, Boring this game has become

I know that issues with hackers/dupers/ghosting and all the standard stuff are being addressed and I have no complaints on any of those. I was just wondering if its possible to restart everyone from square one, wipe all tents/vehicles on all servers. In its current state, I can die, and within 15 mins be totally geared up with any gun in the game, coyote, gillie, food/water bottles thanks to all the camp sites Ive found on many different servers since they just refill and dupe with ever server restart. I have satchel bombed many sites using their own satchels, and next day its all there again with exact same gear. Since this is guaranteed to happen down the road anyway, I can't imagine to many people having issues with this, even clans who spent time collecting duping items) Also, I would love to see a name trail on each item, to see which survivors carried said weapon. I killed a guy in Cherno, took his AS50 and wondered "How many hands has this weapon changed" No bitching, just suggesting. I'll roll with this game in any state.

chernarus is 89 square miles. Skyrim is less than 20. The console version could have grass to about 5 feet in front of you and LOD 50 feet in front of you, not to mention textures about half the size and a max resolution of 720p so half the pixels most of us play at. Not to mention the speed of vehicles would have to be slowed down (like slow ass horses in skyrim) so the disk drive doesn't explode. Servers would have a maximum of 24 players as well.

what no one seems to talk about is that everybody becomes bandits when they finally find some friends to group up with in the game. Once you make a crew, isnt your motto "kill whoever isnt in the current little crew." And doesn't that make you a "bandit." Im not a bandit, i try and make friends to form a crew to find vehicles n such. But when i'm w/ my crew, i protect my boys :) FROM ANY & ALL, SO UNLESS YOU COME WALKING AT ME BACKWARDS SCREAMING UR FRIENDLY, EXPECT TO GET MY PWNER IN UR FACE :)
