  1. My old shantytown had six tents in it, all full of gear. Tools like compasses and pistols also count as weapons, so they fill up pretty quickly when you want to have toolboxes and maps and hunting knives for everyone on your team each server restart. Add in a tent with just medical gear, for when you don't want to risk a city run, and you'll only have room for a few copies of each of your favorite guns. Reducing the capacity of tents would just require more tents to be built in the same spot, making tent cities bigger and easier to find. The most important thing to do with them is get rid of the bugs, so they don't restore their contents after a server restart. If smashing tents actually destroyed them, like with vehicles, then they'd be tolerable. It's inevitable that people will be caching gear to beat death, whether it's in tents or cars, but if it's vulnerable, that counts for a lot.
  2. Looking to start a mercenary group. Playing with the name SAGA (Stealth.Assault.Ground.Air), but name still WIP. I haven been palying dayz or over a month as a loner and looking for a group now. The main idea is we will be nuetral to both survivors/bandits, but may be possibly for hire in the future and work for supplies, weapons, etc once we get situated as a team. Right now I just want to see about recruiting a few individuals that are interested and go from there. Note: This is not going to be a hardcore be on 24/7 group, as I myself have other obligations and have a family to support. I will mainly be on weekday nights or weekends mostly myself. Team's Longterm Goal: When we are established we can be hired to do almost any job. Like take on enemy factions, bandit/survivor groups, take over bandit/survivor camps/bases, help obtain weapons/supplies, and even invesitage DayZ urban legends. We would take on any job, except of course if it breaks any of our group rules as mentioned below. Payment would obviously be done with supplies, weapons, and even vehicles to pay for our services. We would obviously not take the payment or refund the advance(depends on difficulty of job) if we are unable to complete the job we were hired for. Currently I am looking to fill the following roles: Assault - Main force of the team, their primary role is to engage zombies/enemies, assault/secure positions, and play body guard to the teams medic. So be prepared to act as a meatshield. Recon/Sniper - provides overwatch to other team member's, recons area before job/scavenge mission, etc Spotter - Helps sniper track targets, supply ammo to sniper, and acts as body guard. Medic - Does Little fighting as is mainly in charge of healing and recovering downed member's equipment if possible. Support - provides covering fire and extra ammo if needed Scavenger/Builder -Scavenges supplies and in charge of fortifying the teams base when established. Requirements and what I am looking for in a member: Age: must be 18+ though will make compromises, you must play with me or another member for a bit first. Timezone: Eastern time prefered, but if you are close to it that fine. Mic: Prefered, as it's easier to communicate with then typing in direct chat. Voice chat program: teamspeak 3/steam/skype - unless you have something else better to use Language: must be able to speak english. You must be willing to follow these rules: No griefing or hacking No killing new spawns, I am not going to lead/team up with pansies. You wanna kill someone, go look for someone who can kill back, like a bandit. No killing known medics,traders, or sincere solo friendlies without proper cause. We only kill friendly factions/players if hired to do so. The exception if the job's terms breaks any of our rules. Be able to take orders and work as a team Act mature on voice chat (take orders, no excessive swearing, racial slurs, etc) Act as team by sharing resources, help out whenever you can, and most importantly watch each other's back! Must always play your chosen/designated role during jobs/scavenging/whatever else we are doing. Be willing to complete any job we may be hired for. Unless you have a good reason. Do not goof off during a job or mission. I do not mind goofing off/having fun as I do it myself, but act serious when it's needed.   3. Our server is playable in every since of the word but for vehicles. Ever single loot spawn works, zombies flood the map (I love this about Lingor), and crashed choppers spawn all over the map. Everything works but vehicle spawns. Without vehicles there's no endgame to strive for. No vehicles means no mobile ops or quick raid parties. I don't count PvP as an endgame part of Day Z, I see it as a part of the main game. Every time you go anywhere there's a chance of PvP at any stage of gameplay (from fresh spawn to fully geared). Removing the biggest part of what endgame Day Z has just for a more geared PvP isn't worth it in my eyes. Might as well go play a few games of deathmatch if that's all you're going/want to do.

    As of right now, the hive is having trouble saving vehicles and tents. They are working on fixing this. Just roll back to 1.7.2.5. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

    I re-rolled to 1.7.2.4 because of the vehicle/tent glitch. Now my server is so dead its usually only me playing on it. I heard that if you save vehicles then do a double restart on 1.7.2.5 that the vehicles will not disappear. Can anyone confirm this. Also If I upgrade back to 1.7.2.5 will my vehicle disappear that I have saved on .4?

    Age limits are everywhere

    We picked up a friendly kid in-game a few nights ago. He was mostly tolerable. After a while he started repeating anything that the older guys said since he thought it was cool but it wasn't too bad. Last night, however, we finally got to a spot to set up camp and he was whining he couldn't get the tent set up. One of the older guys asked for the tent and he'd set it up and the kid kept running around in circles, messing with the vehicles, saying he'd give him the tent if he could catch him. Moral of the story: Even kids who seem cool at first are still kids.

measures to track cheaters like you. There's more then enough in there, also worth mentioning you never appeared in the BEC.log as you were likely running a bypass. There was also that encounter where you and magikh0e were driving a URAL when our server had no vehicles and took multiple shots to the head from multiple shooters. You had you invincibility on that time though.

    1.7.3 - Lets Wipe the Hive

    Do what I did. I contacted DayZ staff telling them my server was full of tents with dozens of duped as50s, as50 tws, l85s, m4 cco sds, M4 holos, G36s, the works. I asked them if I could get my server wiped as I heard they have done it in the past for people. I also told them that literally every town from Kamenka to Berezino had barbed wire griefing over almost every loot spawn entrance. They shut me down. So, I went to Casey at Vilayer, who provide me with my server and told him how frustrating it was, and with a flick of his wrist, he gave me a brand new instance ID(with vehicles already present) and it was completely wiped clean. All tents gone. Vehicles replaced to original spawn and their original conditions. It may have pissed people off, but I'm sorry that I'm not allowing people to pick up AS50s in tents that were placed INSIDE OF ELEKTRO. Seriously, contact your server providers, especially if you have Vilayer. They WILL help you wipe your server clean if you'd like. I know this doesn't mean a full hive wipe but it's the next best thing, and now with tents not saving, everyone has to either goto other servers to get duped gear out of tents, or come to mine and go find it legitimately or kill for it. Aka: The way it should be.

  13. Bumping this up because I was just on this server, had repaired a helicopter, and encountered this same teleporting hacker group. We got teleported mid-flight to the middle of Cherno along with what I am assuming was every single other vehicle on the map. We got out of the chopper in Cherno and after killing a hacker that tried to jump into the chopper we had repaired all the vehicles got teleported to Elecktro (we know this because one of our teammates was there). I was recording the entire time I was in this server and I will upload a video tonight.

    Try resetting the server, although that would also destroy any other tents and vehicles on the server.
  15. That just came to my mind. It has been an awful long time since the last patch. It would be cool to save your gear in tents and vehicles as starters. It would be cool if your helicopter would save its location after the restart. It would be even cooler if the 2.4 tents/vehicles wouldn't dupe their gear on 2.5 servers. Anyway is there any pending update to look forward in the close future? Just saying...
  16. "I'm not going to make the mistake of releasing a patch before it is ready." That's funny because you've managed to screw up the last 3 patches to varying degrees. We need a damn hotfix for vehicles and tents before anything else, you're just bleeding players right now because the game gets boring without them. I gave up playing about a week and a half ago, because since your piss-poor testing of patches results in at least one major fuckup per patch, it became too much. You established such an amazing mod, yet you totally fail to see the important bits of it that keep players HOOKED, once you start breaking them then you're no better than many other games.

    I am on a yes and no on this... Especially because I FINALLY found a ghilliesuit..... On multiple points, yes the hive needs to be wiped, because of all the duplicated stuff, herded vehicles, etc. etc... But eventually it will just happen again and again and again. But it would make the game somewhat.. 'fair' again I guess.

    LOL, you're right! I totally didn't "play" this "game" for rElz. I do understand what Day Z is about. I was able to play with and around those principles. The game had gotten the better of me on a couple other occasions and quitting didn't cross my mind. I've simply had my fill for now and I told you where my breaking point was. Honestly, it's not the car stealing part that bothers me. It was that it was just as likely to have been teleported by a hacker or eaten by bugs that made me hit the wall. If I could know for a fact that my vehicle was stolen by player legimately, I would hunt that player down and reclaim what was mine. Plus, I knew where another vehicle was and I could have spent the time repairing it as well. The car stolen from me was already the second vehicle I had tried to repair. I already knew it wasn't worth fixing vehicles because they don't last for a number of reasons. You sir/mam are the unreal player. But you are a real jerk. Good day!
  19. Someone is full of assumptions, aren't they. This is an excellent server, with no lag at all. Tents work, vehicles spawn and aren't hoarded off map. If you prefer the normal lesser servers that sometimes go down permanently in a week or so, then be my guest. Enjoy very rarely seeing or obtaining vehicles, not having a properly functioning tent, not being able to shoot zombies or players due to lag, and don't forget about the hackers. But I see your point, if I was a hacker, I would not want to have to pay for a server, then be banned too. This is an excellent server, if you don't wish to pay for it, then simply don't. No need to be threatened by a server.
  20. I don't get why do you send all entities of the game server to every player regardless of range. It's waste of bandwith. You should only send information from the region the player is at. There's an undetected hack out there that reads the information that server sends from memory and prints player locations, tents, vehicles, etc on a map. Please consider this changing this, as you will benefit performance wise and hackers benefit less from using the hack.
  21. This sever loads quickly, good ping, a great admin, lots of vehicles (more being add constantly and they save properly), and friendly people! If your looking for a good Lingor server this is it! After i personally searched for a good Lingor server this is the best possible server i could find! Lastly it is an awesome new server and is defiantly under rated with the amount of people playing on it! Go play on it!
  22. At it's current state it's not worth it. Tents and vehicles don't save, hackers run rampant and there's a lot of graphical bugs. Oh yeah, and the gear duping thing sucks too.
  23. I have already posted this once, but it did not get as much attention as I think it deserved. And considering the amount of shit thats current on the forums of people bitching about thermal scopes and sniper rifles I thought this was important, so here it is, again. I have also edited a few bits of it aswel, so hopefully I dont get pinged for double posting :P Please take your time to read ALL of this before you comment: No special infected, this is not Left4Dead, and so on. DayZ is a zombie game yet the only time you'll ever be scared shitless is when you're getting shot at. Zombies are now only a nuisance. Now my idea includes "special" infected. No, not like the ones in Left4Dead, but just something simple, not overpowered, not playable, and not anything outside the concept of DayZ. And still keeping DayZ authentic. So, first the new DayZ map SHOULD be in Russia or the Ukrain, same region as Chernarus. No, I'm not russian but if the DayZ standalone map is in Russia it just keeps the authenticity in DayZ. Also, a map like Chernarus or something similar suits DayZ perfectly, for instance: It's city's arnt too large that it turns into a massive murder fest, and be able to find a gun anwhere. Or atleast a larger, much larger version of Chernarus, which I think Rocket and the team are already working on. Think about it, if your city has a shopping mall then chances are it will be in an industrial area i.e major city. DayZ is a game where it is more fitted to being out into the country, therefor making vehicles more useful and valuable. And ofcourse a large city wont be near any forests or out in the country. So you can hide any vehicles you've found in thick forests. Now onto the Horror/Special infected. There is nothing scary about the current DayZ map (Chernarus) simply because that map was designed for arma2, a war zone, not a zombie apocalypse. So my idea is that we could have a few parts of the map where there are grave yards or haunted locations. Now a few people would be thinking, how about green mountain? Yeah well theres nothing dramatic about it, except the fact it reads co-ordinates of deer stands. But if you had a medium-large thick, dark, foggy, forrest, and in the middle of it is a grave yard or some shit scary location then it would be scary as fuck to go in there. Now comes in the "special" infected. Once you enter the dark forrest, there is a rare chance you could encounter some sort of super kind of zombie. (With red eyes that glow in the dark maybe?) They could maybe have a little bit more heath than regurlars, not too much. No special attacks, such as vomiting on you from behind, or strangling you with their massive tongue from 50 meters away. But what features it could have is to be able to stalk you, it hides behind trees or cover as it follows you. And when you stop to eat or something it strikes. My other idea is that when it detects you, it screams, alerts every zombie in your location. Though, when you aggro a zombie, every zombie within 30-50 meters is also trying to rip your face off. But this would happen on a much larger scale. Ofcourse it's all up to the Devs, and what you, the community wants. Another idea is.. Hospitals! Some of the most scariest games are usually set in hospitals. DayZ should have much larger hospitals, making finding supplies a little harder, and more scary. Things to consider: Blood trails, zombie patients. Instead of just shooting a few panes of glass, or throwing bottles at them and then just grabbing a few supplies then leaving. You should have to check rooms for blood bags and other medical supplies. (found in draws & cupboards.) Rocket mentioned in a Rezzed session of a zombie life cycle, which is a zombie that is kind of human like, but gradually turns into a zombie. I was thinking that maybe it could be linked with the special infected, after the zombie has reached its end of the cycle it could turn into the "special" infected. Ofcourse you wont be able to see that many special inftected in the game, but it adds a twist to how they got there and what they will eventually all turn into. http://www.google.co...,r:10,s:0,i:104 Another idea, if these special inftected were introduced into DayZ, they would only spawn in scary locations e.i haunted castle, graveyard or dark misty/foggy woods. But we already have a system that records how many zombie kills, murders, and bandit kills on our debug moniter. If this special infected was introduced into DayZ it could also be recorded on the debug moniter, e.i Demon kills: 3. Ofcourse they wouldent be called demons but you get the point. Conclusion: Lastly, a few of you might be thinking, whats the point of having foggy, scary/haunted areas? Inside those haunted areas has a more likely chance of finding a helicopter crash site. But honestly wouldent you rather have a game where you have to crawl through dark, foggy woods, hiding from zombies with red glowing eyes. People would have to go through this shit everytime they want to find high grade weapons. Lets face it, people can just find a high powered rifle from a helicopter crash site after 5minutes of spawning. (Thats actually happened to me.) Now you have to take risks to find your beloved AS50, now you have to work for it, and search in scary, dangerous areas. Ofcouse not all helicopter crash sites will spawn in these areas, but you a more of a chance of finding one there than on a farm. And this is a better alternative to doing what everyone else suggests, which is to heavily reduce the spawn chance of sniper rifles or remove them completely.     I agree... Kind of. Alright, the only reason we should wipe is if all the duping is fixed. And I say we ONLY wipe all the tents and reset all the vehicles. Don't wipe players inventories, because it would really piss off players like me who play legitly an spend hours finding their as-50s and m4's.

    SE 46 server thread

    As far as I can tell all vehicles except one I know of save the position but not the content. Could be that there are a few more vehicles not saving positions. Server restarted, BEC was disabled and thus no scheduled restarts active. For the private Hive part, nothing I'm interested of at the moment (but it have crossed my mind on more that one occasion)
