Yes, you read the title right. The server we run, US 1211 for the past 3 weeks has had 0 vehicles. The first week we thought someone hid them very well and didn't think much of it. The second week we tried combing the whole western and northern areas. The third week we just gave up. Our server is spawning ZERO vehicles. Also, today a hacker came on our server, teleported 2 of our members to a location and just started talking with them. After he saw they were admins of the server, he apologized and said he wouldn't cause any trouble. Our admins took this opportunity to ask the hacker if he could see if there were any vehicles on the server. He said he saw zero and thought that was very weird. He spawned our admins a hacker box (which our members blew up with satchel charges) and he left. I put in a support ticket to get our vehicle respawns reset but have no heard anything yet. Anything else I can do? The server is tied to the HIVE.

I've never made a post about abusive admin before, but this one was pretty blatant. It appears that I3rakken or something like that is the owner. I had been playing on there for 2 days, and partied up with people on the server, including an admin. The 4 of us hit about 4 crashed helis last night and we all, more or less, had all the gear we needed (NVGs, GPS, weapons, etc). Found a repaired heli today and took off offering rides. The server restarted, and I hit 2 crashed heli sites on my way south, finding a few weapons, an extra set of NVGs, and random ammo. This WAS A FRESHLY SPAWNED HELI CRASH, and the 1 AS50 magazine I found on the crash was apparently hacked. The owner said if I didn't drop it in 5 minutes, I was banned. I dropped in, and moved on. The admin continued to ban threaten everyone holding AS50 ammo, and I have to assume that they were legit as well, considering I picked the ammo up directly from a freshly reset heli crash. Fast forward about an hour, I got kicked for lag while flying and the heli crashed. I found a GAZ relatively close, and started heading towards Berezino. Apparently, the server staff has set up a thunderdome looking area on the coast as a garage where they horde vehicles. I pulled up beside it in my GAZ, and the server restarded again. I came back in about 300m away from my GAZ. I ran back over to the GAZ and kept driving to Berezino when the server owner plus 2-3 more started unloading on me from the hills. All shots missed, and I kept going. About a minute later in side chat, I was told by the server owner that I was being blacklisted for stealing vehicles from his garage, and I told him I was fed up with him being a dick, and got banned. I'm not bitching or moaning that something should be done, but take this as a fair warning that this server does not run things like a public server. If you just want to play DayZ as is, you are going to have to avoid the server staff and all their gear to avoid getting harassed and/or banned. I deserved my ban for calling the owner a dick, but I call them like I see them, and I had already decided hours before that the server was no longer worth sticking with.

I recently rented a server for DayZ (US 3105) and initially there were vehicles, then during normal server operation (not after a restart/crash) ALL the vehicles have disappeared. I'm guessing that this is not a @Hive issue but rather a hacker teleporting all the vehicles to another location. I'm wondering if the public @Hive has any plans to fix this, eg a nightly check to replace/restore missing vehicles etc, or should I cancel my server rental and go with a @bliss server instead? I understand that DayZ is in Alpha but that does not take away from the fact that I am $35 p/m down for a server that has no vehicles. Cheers.

Hello everyone Im an admin on my friends server but we was wondering how do i spawn in a vehicle or two. what are the commands/scripts?

Alrighty. Other than downloading the mod to do this, which would require all server users to download and install the mod as well, how do I see about adding in vehicles that are on Rockets banlist? Mostly just looking to add in some fun RP type vehicles (forget tanks, fighter jets, and attack choppers... -_-), since the game currently has mostly generic things. Would love to add in a Chinook and Ambulance-esque stuff to our server, but have been foiled thus far. If anyone has an idea how to add in a spawn for them, or even just a way to manually inject them that I can do every few days as a faux-spawn, that'd be stupendous. Thanks!

I play DayZ with a friend regularly, and we are keen to make ourselves a camp with a few vehicles and start helping people. Any suggestions on how to go about this? Specifically suggestions for vehicles, almost every server we go to has no more vehicles since the larger clans have taken them. We found some on NZ 22, but that entire server has been hacked. How do you guys go about finding them, and when you do how long does it take you to get them up and running?

I was wondering if there was anyway to reset a server so all tents and vehicles are restored to a fresh server? I have replaced all my hive files, dayz server files, mission files but nothing has worked. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

My new server (Based in the US) has been up for a couple weeks and im looking to get more players on it! It has 170+ vehicles and 3+ helicopters, Server gets reset every day and is monitored closely. Player cap is 40. Server does not show up in dayz commander or six launcher. So you will have to search throught the "in game" filter. Just search "like a sir".

Just wondering... been looking a long time for PBX or fishing boat. I mean, I understand they are sorta rare but I have a feeling they either aren't spawning or are off map. Mikkall

I have a question. I came across a bike and when I logged off I was still sitting on it. Only problem when I logged back in the bike was gone. About a 1minute before logging off I did Same Bike or whatever the command is. My question is how do I have a vehicle and keep it if I log off? What is best practice? Say if I have a car. Should I be instead or outside of it? Should I be using the save vehicle command? If so when and ho soon before I log off? Any other tips or thins I should know? Thanks

So I came up with this idea for a thread today when I was searching for information regarding tents and vehicles in DayZ and I've noticed one thing - sure, the info is all there but it's scattered around the whole General Discussion. Considering it's easier and more conveniant to have everything in one place, especially for newbies, I thought this would be a good idea. This could be even stickied if there'll be enough info and the thread is actually worthwhile. So far I've gathered: Regarding tents: - a tent requires 3 inventory slots to be carried - it can be put into a backpack when you have it in your inventory - it is movable after you set it up however you can't pick up someone's tent - you can have as many tents as you like - if you move a tent without taking the items they will appear in a big pile of loot nearby where the tent originally was - tents can hold 50 items and 10 weapons in them (Binoculars and other tools count as weapons as well) and up to 5 backpacks - for now you have to use the "Save" command from the mouse wheel menu in order to properly save a tent although there still is a 50% chance that a server will eat your tent no matter what - tents are tied to servers and survive server restarts - EVERYONE can take items out of your tent - tents actually require a bit of space to be placed at (around 3x3m) - tents disappear after 2 days when you died - you can make a new tent after your death or reclaim items from the existing one - you can't pack it up even if you are the owner Regarding vehicles: - the mythical Huey does in fact exist - Huey takes 50 jerry cans to be fully refueled - vehicles have different fuel capacities; when refueling, the vehicle's fuel quantity is read from config, and increased by 20L - vehicles are supposed to respawn in the same place after they were destroyed however that's not the case - vehicles appear to be persistent after force saving with the "Save" command from mouse wheel menu however, just like with tents, there is a possibility of a server eating your vehicles along with all the items inside - vehicles spawn on each server restart, they do not respawn however when destroyed or left somewhere - all vehicles have storage in them (except bicycles). If you can't open it from outside, take a seat, open map, select Units and then Gear How to repair a helicopter by Hei: "When fixing a Huey, the only available chopper that I know of, you want to get into the pilot's seat and give a good look at the top left corner. You want everything to be green = fixed. - First is hull, it needs scrap metal to fix. When you approach the chopper, it's called hull or body or something similar. - Next comes the engine, you'll need engine parts to fix that. Again, should be self explanatory. - Then you want to fix the MROT or the main rotor. For that you need to find the main rotor assembly. It's called main rotor in the menu. - Afterwards comes the ATRQ, or the secondary rotor/vertical rotor. This is arguably the most important part to fix, for it counteracts the torque, stops it from spinning out of control. You need scrap metal to fix it. In the fixing menu, it's called the V rotor. - Last but not least come the instruments, relatively important, depending on what difficulty level the server is in. It shows your speed, altitute, et cetera. It requires scrap metal to fix, and is called avionics(?) in the menu. Next comes the refueling. Unlike cars which usually take 4 jerry cans to refuel to maximum, choppers require A LOT. 4 jerry cans is like a drop of piss for a chopper. I personally haven't counted, but my group easily needed more than twenty jerry cans to refuel a chopper, therefore you absolutely must bring it to a refueling point, to jerry fuel back and forth from a fuel tank, to the chopper. That's all there is to it. Don't rely too much on the red/green text in the context menu, it's not always reliable. Always enter the pilot's seat and look at the top left for true chopper's condition." List of vehicles: Cars & motorcycles: - GAZ (car), 4 player seats, ? slots in trunk - offroad pickup, 2 player seats(?), ? slots in trunk - pickup, 2 player seats, ? slots in trunk - military offroad, 6 player seats(?), ? slots in trunk - bus, 12 player seats(?), ? slots in trunk - Lada, 4 player seats, ? slots in trunk - ATV, 2 player seats, no storage trunk - Volga, 4 player seats, ? slots in trunk - Skoda (red), 4 player seats, ? slots in trunk - motorcycle, 2 player seats, ? slots in trunk Helicopters: - UH-1H Huey, 8 player seats, 21 slots in trunk, 2 M240 MMGs Boats: - fishing boat, ? player seats, ? trunk - PBX, ? player seats, ? trunk - small boat, ? player seats, ? trunk How to get gear out of a vehicle when there is no "Gear" option in the context menu: When that happens all you have to do is enter a vehicle, open your map, go to units, if you are not selected then select yourself, click on Gear on the right upper hand side under your nickname and you will be able to take whatever you want from a vehicle, even on the move. This works with all vehicles. And yes, you may call me Mr Tent.

Also, if you Alt F4 or DC in a fight, you get banned! Additionally, it is running something called RMod, which means there are a bunch of new Vehicles and Weapons to play. Just wondering, I have rented a server and about three dayz in no vehicles have been spotted. Will this be permanent or is there a time where vehicles don't spawn after server creation?

I set everything up like i was told in the email but, there are no vehicles and know i am wondering on how to enbale or add them, cause i dont think that ppl would want too play on a server without any, as soon everything is up and running il post the server date here.
