Yeah my group doesn't really care we might not be on 24/7 as we (no offense to your group as this is probably going to sound rude as hell) want a chance at vehicles, and odds are (once again no offense to you guys) you guys have most of the vehicles on the server, but yeah it was an awesome night. -

Vilayer support is INCREDIBLE. I don't know any other server hosts that will sit down and talk to you themselves. I've gotten to talk to Lee over voice SEVERAL times. Their servers are stable and virtually Lag free. The problems that do arise are dealt with relatively quickly, and at least for me have been communicated efficiently. And on top of all of this he is working on fixing what the DayZ Dev's broke. Tents and Vehicles have been working, load times are near instantaneous, my server is full every night. 1.7.2.6 as far as the official hive is concerned for me is too little too late. BOTH US 450 and US 2740 are going down at the end of the month as I am no longer paying for servers I can't properly admin. Run with a AS50 TWS on my server and get caught you get warned, then banned. I have played with the weapon myself, 900m shots through the fog when another regular AS50 cant even see past the 600 mark, nothing even close to fair about that. Ghosting and get caught? Banned. That shit is not cool. But this isn't the point of the thread. The point is that I am VERY happy with Vilayer, I am seriously considering upgrading from a managed DayZPackage server to a dedicated box so I can run a Lingor and Chernarus, and a Takistan when they have it ready to go. -
Vehicles now save OK, BUT, they lose all fuel after a server restart :( Debug monitor breaks the indicators, so only use it to check kills etc. Artifacts are gone.

The boats spawn on land due to the vehicles not saving. Some vehicles would turn into others when restarted eg, ATV - PBX, Blue Ural - UAZ, Flame Motor bike - Tractor, Huey - Tractor. So yeah this should be fixed. -
Need help in finding who is using teleport hacks!!! Gogster!!

Server is being attacked daily by hackers either teleporting players or killing them! I'm running one of vilayers private servers and when looking in logs can only see people hacking in weapons and vehicles. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Gogster been pm'ing you but your inbox is full. -
Play With Six as well anyway, it's not the promise-land I was promised (mindblow.gif) there are more enterable buildings, but honestly that just seems to make the game more tedious as you search through all the crap loot. it doesn't help that there's so much makarov ammo, and so many items use that same green bag model there's no dead soldiers, so none of those artifacts, but I still get artifacts from barbed wire zombies seem more prone to walk/hit through walls, and get stuck in the floor. a lot of the loot seems to be kinda under the floor as well I have mixed feelings about side chat... the fps seem more inconsistent. on average it's better than Chernarus. probably because on average there's less trees, grass, etc being rendered. but when it drops, it's bad. I have my settings so I never went under 30fps on Chernarus, but on Lingor I dip to the low 20's and even into the teens. it seems to be directly graphics related, since when I look straight at the ground or sky my fps magically returns (unlike AI and server issues that affect fps) ambient sounds that sound like doors opening, someone walking, and distant vehicles :mad: but it is fun exploring a new map :)

I had it and I like it more than m107 for lonely kills. (Bolt action and zeroing works fine.) Even though I have m107 atm and it is a killer.(esp over 1000m or to vehicles...)

Does the entrenching tool actually work? I've been able to build sandbox-hinders without it, and I don't see any other use for it. Wouldn't it be more appropriate if you needed empty sandbags + entrenching tool + a pile of sand (eg. at the beach) to fill the sandbags, and then had to haul them to wherever you needed to place them? Is it possible to actually cut barbed wire? I've seen it everywhere, but I have yet to find any wire cutters (they must be super rare), I wasn't able to cut the wires with a toolbox (which I guess is only used for repairing vehicles). Regardless, barbed wire-syndrome seem to be omni-present, people are using them as a means to block entrances to buildings rather than setting up defensive positions, and with every zombie having noclip, you can't block zombies off either. Beyond the obvious explanation (this is alpha, etc.) - is this the intended use for these items? Or is there something I just haven't figured out yet?

1. Age: 15 2. Experience Level: Veteran, played about a week but I mean PLAYED not chilled. I've had A LOT of high end gear and kills already, learnt my way around the map and played nearly 100 hours I would say 3. Preferred role: Definitely Sniper, I can't handle being in a close combat situation. I'm no good at rushing my shots. 4. IRL Location: North West UK 5. Steam: Wardul 6. Skype (please contact me through Skype if possible, sorry to be difficult): tomo.francis 7. Extra Info: First of all sorry for being difficult with Skype and adding two extra points. But I have watched DayZ for over a month and started playing about a week ago. I have played over 10 hours a day. Had various snipers and assaults, killed several bandits and had several vehicles. I tried making my own team several times also, that was a waste of time with everyone messing around. I enjoy a chilled chat but as soon as I get a sniff of something dangerous, serious face is on. You will know I'm 15 by my voice but probably not by my skills, I played FPS for over 6 years already (starting back with Call of Duty Finest Hour) I try to work as tactically as possible and once I get what I need, I got what I need... I don't go all mr greedy for loot. If I have my sniper range finders, ghillie. I'm set and ill spread out the loot for new players as best as I can. (I've given loot out 3 times now and as soon as I give it them I get shot! :(.) I also joined the team speak but only two people were in and they weren't all too helpful. Thank you for the time and I hope you make the right decision.

well, i think i made this before, but who cares, its almost like bumping being able to block corridors or even laders, destroying ladders and maybe even wooden walls. Implementing metal sheets to be used in making metal walls, like very poorly made shanty towns, being able to collet to brick piles(or put them inside vehicles or trucks) so after you can pile them up, cement and concrete would be more elaborate, but maybe adding cement wouldnt be that hard. I think thats it, and maybe a table that can help fix gear when broken stuff be implemented, even faster than the so called toolbox would be, due to more harcore and heavy tools -
Just wait! We all need more time with the patch to really see what is happening... some server admins could test those tents and vehicles out and report? Same with the artifacts, just wait for more info... picture in this topic is REALLY MINOR looking artifacting, almost not worth of complaining... What I have seen it has been like 100times worse, that you cant see anything but your self.. JUST WAIT PPL and dont start crying soon as the topic starts... it has been only few hours and peopple are crying already, omg.

Respawn in a few days. We have been doing manual restarts because every time we do we lose everything in the tents and vehicles even if we saved them. Not sure if the problem is still happeing but we do a restart around every two days I would say. It was our first helicopter so we weren't sure where to hide it. -

on my clans server (which is down now due to lack of interest from other clan members) skalka was a pretty common place for people to take vehicles and set up bases so he just searched around that general area and found those tents and the chopper up on that hill. easy spot since it was in the wide open. and what do you mean it will be back in a few days? respawn for you to fix it up or back at your camp? also how often does your server do its restarts (manual or automatic)? -
Yes, vehicles and tents fixed. I just missed that from the notes. Last weekend I was at PAX Prime in Seattle, weekend before I was at Gamescom in Germany. That's two burned weekends in a row. And I just arrived back from a trans-atlantic flight, so cut me a little bit of slack :) I'm tired :)

We launched a new server a few days ago. I believe it is running the most recent patch. We are having issues with vehicles saving along with tents/vehicle storage saving as well. The company we use to host our server has a fix for this problem but has been told by "dayz" that they are not allowed to apply the fix to the servers they operate. Why is this? Why cant a fix to two game breaking bugs not be applied to servers that are being paid for by the fans? its been a month since our last patch and it doesnt seem like they will be fixing these bugs anytime soon. if a fix is available and can be used to solve these issues why hasnt it been officially released in a patch?

When its a practical tool, bring it back. Seeing as its a griefers best friend, remove it. IMO, anyone who has a base big enough to be blocked off by barbed wire, prolly has tons of loot, and most if not all of the vehicles. To me that just screams glitcher, hacker, ToS breaker, shady server admins, scripting or any other ways of illegitimate gameplay. -

Oh believe me, the clans do have them, and some will be stored up north, others to the west, but many will also be around the map... whats the point of a vehicle after all if its stashed in the middle of nowhere. But yeah, speaking as a clanner myself, clans usually have most of the vehicles, and in fact spend most of their time stealing them from each other. -

I feel a combination of: *Time of Year *The ease of Duping *Graphical Glitches *Camps & vehicles getting wiped over server restarts Killed the super keen players off. I want to Build a big camp again where the tents actuallyhold our current gear :/ not rows of tents being used to farm weapons I want to scavange restlessly to find parts for my vehicle which i know won't dissapear after a restart. Thirdly I WANT TO GO HELI HUNTING OR RAID THE NW AIRFIELD. However i have stacks of as50 & l85's & nvg & rangefinders...... why bother go raiding at all. In the end 1.7.2.5 turned into arma 2 at electro & cherno.... and we all know how big arma 2 community was when dayz launched..... -

Which Dupping has been fixed?

Fixing duping will be the death blow for this mod I think, look at it this way; Hacking will still be rampant in the next patch. There will still be 101 glitches which can kill you without warning. Respawning back on the coast with all your gear gone or in the debug zone will still happen. These are all problems which realistically will not be fixed in the mod, however being able to dupe gear makes these problems a little less frustrating. I know that if i went to all the trouble of hiding my tent/vehicle in a really awesome hiding spot and then someone decided to use a map-hack to find it and destroy it out of spite, I'd be pretty annoyed. At least with the current bugs in the game I know that my tent will be back in the next reset. Lets say I spend several hours hiking up north, exploring towns, searching for vehicles and maybe raiding stary/NWAF, then the next day I get insta-killed logging in or simply respawn back on the coast with 0 items, not even a bandage or a backpack. At least with duped gear I can get myself back on my feet a little bit faster. I can't imagine anyone except hardcore masochists will keep playing if they keep getting set back to square one every time they get screwed over by a hacker or a gamebreaking glitch.
