40 minutes of running paid off: It's still there. Thank you so much for posting this. I got an M4A3 CCO SD, NVGs, a GPS, and ANTIBIOTICS!!! These were literally the only things I was missing to have the best gear in the game. All of the vehicles are gone, by the way. But there is still an SVD Camo, M249, DMR, M4A3 CCO, M16A3 M320, and Camo Clothing along with other goodies. Only one more pair of NVGs. 2 more GPSs. The server is totally empty as of right now, so I didn't get sniped by anybody. Thanks, once again! -
Yesterday on DE2271 were something similar. A friend died and spawned on the very west of the south coast. As he walked to cherno, there were a place with some guys and all the vehicles. I thought that they were hacker and we left the server after my friend reached the next forest. But this seems very similar to your scenario.

I saw one about a RP server it looked kind of fun but it didn't really pique my interest at all. I've been messing around in the Arma II editor though. Flying, crashing, driving, and shooting vehicles and it's pretty fun. -

I am thinking it is random. There have been times my clan was fanned out 15 strong in all 4 corners and found nothing in 2 hours of searching and then on a fresh restart poof all 3 are there. All we can figure is its either random now or there is a bug like the restart bug where vehicles and tents vanish. EDIT: You you are running on a home sever like myself so restart that bitch,if you are hopping servers and finding nothing then you are just having bad luck. -

Slightly annoying, but better than the vehicles/tents not saving. We've taken to leaving a pair of Jerry cans in each vehicle. It's not ideal, but welcome to DayZ :) -

If you do some further reading about issues with 1.7.2.6 it is known bug on the server side... Vehicles lose all fuel on server restart... so prepare yourself with plenty of filled jerry cans before server restart :D -

Hello everyone. I will try to not ramble forever. Basically I just rented myself a server about 5 days ago and been having encounters with some hackers (shocker). Sometimes it's only things like hacked in weapons etc which I can see is almost impossible to stop since they could spawn them in on any server and then carry them over. Other times it's really bad. The other day me and a friend were gathering a lot of parts to rebuild chopper and all of a sudden when going back to our vehicles with the parts they were gone. Every vehicle including ones not repaired were also gone. Clearly they had all been deleted or teleported somewhere else. I know preventing this is almost impossible, but I am open to any and all suggestions on what kind of counter measures people are using to minimize these things from happening. Currently I use BEC and DayZAntiHax and update my scripts, banlist, and remoteexec and createvehicle.txt files as often as I can. I'm just looking for any suggestions or tips, something you may have done that really helped out your server with less hackers etc. ANYTHING. I want to help make DayZ a hack free game. Although it's not going to even come close until it's standalone (even then there will be exploits and hacks) I would like to play maybe for 6 hours without being messed with. Thanks in advance. Also how does the "publicvariable.txt" work? Do I put it in the same folder as the other .txt files? Feedback much appreciated. -
Forget the debug monitor, that's not a big deal. Vehicles fuel being reset to zero upon server restart, now THAT's a problem. I know rocket mentioned (twitter) that a server side fix is being worked on for this,.. has there been any update? I have not been able to find any and server reset IS still resetting all vehicles fuel to zero.

Reporting hacker on US 1220 Player name: john Time of incident: 12:15-12:20 EST Player teleported to me while in my Gaz, ordered me to step out. I did and shot him about 20 times, he had godmode. Kept taunting me while I jumped back in and drove away but continued to teleport to me and shot me. Sorry there's no screen shots, didn't have time. I have no idea how the server logs people actions but is this something new the hackers are doing? Instead of spawning weapons or vehicles that will leave a log entry, they just teleport to random people from the server until they find one, kill them and take it.

Nice to see there is kind of an easy fix for this. I don't run servers.. but have seen vehicles just disappear and can't be found anywhere on a server. So either spawned somewhere else or not. -

Hey survivors. We moved our server over to the ViLayer Private Hive, The largest private hive in DayZ thus far! Server settings include the following: Regular | 3rd Person: On | CH: Off | NT: Off | Tracers: Off | Side Chat: On The server resets every six hours at 2 PM in game time. When it resets, it will start at 8 AM. This is to keep it day light 24/7. (We are testing out this new feature and may revert back to a full day schedule.) There are also extra vehicles. We currently have it set to 30 vehicles that can spawn at one time. Some bugs have been worked out by ViLayer and by the DayZ dev team such as tent saving, vehicle saving, desyncing, and graphical glitches! 1.7.2.6 - Problem with tents still?

I had similar experience though after second restart tent kept stuff - Server was just recently updated to 1.7.2.6 and I pitched a tent and put some goodies in. After server restart everything had disappeared. I put more stuff into it and after next server restart, stuff was still there... I placed tent into uphill but does it count? Vehicles are working fine although after fixing 'em their state doesn't save... I run a pickup truck to concrete block and flat my left front tire and when I was going to fix it up... saving the vehicle insta-fixed it lol -
was it on 1.7.2.6? If so then it should be saving. I have 3 vehicles on my server including a helicopter and they all save no problem. The only problem they seem to have is after a server restart they lose all the fuel in their tanks, but other than that they save location and gear fine. Edit: Try restarting the server again, My friend told me that sometimes when my server restarts automatically it doesn't spawn any vehicles or tents, but a second restart usually does the trick.

log spamming after updating to 1.7.2.6

when i have asked around how to solve this i have been told that if the vehicles remain untouched for 7 days they revert back to their original spawn point. is this true? should i just wait it out and try and purge the logs the best i can until then? -
You may want to hold off on 1.7.2.6 until this new hack is detected

The hack/bypass mentioned below is now reported to be detected and dishing out global bans. See Post #14 for details. Yay :D Back on 09/02 a hack was released that made it very easy for people to insta-kill entire servers, summon all vehicles to their location, etc. It abuses the publicvariable situation that permits the scripts to evade current scripts.txt/createvehicle.txt/remoteexec.txt rulesets. Just recently with a new Beta server .exe were we granted the new publicvariable.txt ruleset, so understandably that's still being worked on and doesn't yet have any kick restrictions in place. The release day of this hack was also the day that hack activity went up quite a bit on the forums (no doubt from this particular hack). Within 24 hours, BattlEye had it detected and was globally banning the offenders left and right. 09/02 was also the only day my server experienced a server-wide kill from a hacker, although that's just anecdotal evidence. Today, a re-release of the same hack was published that is presently undetected. For this reason, I am holding back my own server to 1.7.2.5 to prevent hackers from screwing with my vehicles and getting them saved on some remote island/destroying them and saving them. That's been the one nice thing about saves not working, hackers can't screw you out of vehicles for 7 days. This may all be for naught, as no server is immune to hackers of course even once this particular hack gets detected. But, I am hoping that BattlEye experiences similar turnaround here and can detect it again within 24-48 hours, and therefore holding back on updating my server to where tents/vehicles are fixed to hopefully minimize the effects of hackers. I'm simply putting this out there so server admins can make their own decision on this. I know some are desperate for the artifact/tent/vehicle fixes. But, at least you have this knowledge in hand when you make your decision on whether or not to update. Just to clarify, 1.7.2.5 doesn't make you "safe" from this hack, it just means if they screw with your vehicles a server restart will always fix it whereas in 1.7.2.6 they'll be able to save them in their blown up/portaled to an island state and you'll have to wait 7 days for new ones. If you guys are seeing a spike in hack activity today/tonight/tomorrow, this hack is likely why. -
server is full of hackers, Here's a video from last night around 1-4 in the morning my guess is around 2am Call of Dayz , Skeet , and all of RGB are using exploits hacks and cloning gear not to mention vehicles. They will accuse all other players who challenge them. they try and hide behind the "private hive" but if i were you KEEP AWAY from this server . Looking for a few like minded clans

Not sure about the sys requirements but if someone could host it for free/cheap that would be ideal. The main problem with the idea a couple months back was figuring out how to populate it enough to justify paying for it. We need to have sufficient level of gamers in it most of the time and the only way is to get 6-8 clans with 10+ people who play at least a few days per week. The hard part is varifying that no dirty players get in so this will have to be done with great consideration. A basic "background" check of the clans/players can be easily performed and once we have a couple clans checked and cleared for battle, the server could be a great place for setting up bases/tents/vehicles. I am open to get together and discuss the options. A frequently asked question is if the clans are US or EU. I think thats a minor problem as if we set up and successfully run a server on either continent, we can set up on the other side. Having a sterile place to share the server info and rules/regulation(which should be few) wont be hard to come by as I know my clan is reputable with a solid forum. -

We all have the same problems, we cant really overplay DayZ at this point, by that i mean building huge camps with alot of vehicles and storage. They'll eventually get raided by "bandits". If your clan is into setting up camps i suggest you play // rent private. I enjoy the MOD no matter the problems, but i can only do that because i keep my gameplay simple, i spend my time in DayZ actually trying to have fun instead of running back and forth across servers to repair vehicles // setup camps. In stand-alone however, i'll surely get into this sort of DayZ activities, for now its just "useless" gameplay and it's not worth the time and dedication. Go PK someone, you'll feel alot better, that's what i do. -
If you knew what you were doing, and weren't shit at driving, you'd be able to find a vehicle within an hour every time, and keep it for weeks. But of course, you are shit, so no vehicles for you.

Where abouts did you find these vehicles? My server was attacked at some point last night and all my vehicles have vanished... Been roaming for hours on foot but cant find anything. -
Bring da amberlamps! I'd like if the vehicles initially spawned at random intervals over the course of say a week instead of as soon as the server goes live to give people who are not admin or friends of the admin the chance of getting them. Doubling and tripling the number of vehicles that spawn would also be worth experimenting with. A timer to make them respawn if they aren't used within 72 hours would be good too. Perhaps make fuel a lot rarer in rural areas and the north forcing people down to the more populated south to fuel up.
