My point wasn't to say he was lying or not, just that he went about trying to find answers the absolute worst way possible. He may well very have a legitimate issue, but no one consciously decided to refuse him vehicles - DayZ Team or otherwise. That's just idiotic to think that. An all caps incoherent post is just ridiculous and has no excuse. Oh, rest assured it's hilarious to me. Most notably because I pay for and run my own server which experienced an issue where IDs over 8000, i think it was, didn't spawn any vehicles. This was many weeks ago, though. So, I had the exact same problem you did (as did others) for about a week. People cried bloody murder over it, and I laughed the whole time at how worked up they got. I am paying more than you are paying for your Value/Budget rent-a-server, and I did not care that my server wasn't "fully functional". I knew it'd be fixed, eventually. I just made sure DayZ team was aware, and that was that. I moved on and continued playing on my vehicleless server. It's still fun without vehicles, mind you. Why wasn't I angry? It's ALPHA. I'm an ALPHA TESTER running an ALPHA ARMA2 MOD. I leased my box full well knowing it's ALPHA and it will have LOTS OF BUGS. If there aren't any bugs, I would be concerned and curious what was going on. You are not entitled to a full featured working ALPHA MOD. Did I mention it's alpha? Yeah, it's alpha. THERE WILL BE BUGS. If you can't deal with it, then you shouldn't be leasing a server. All DayZ server owners should go into leasing a server fully understanding catastrophic things could happen, like the hive going down, and that they may not have access to the mod for some period of time. They should be fine with that. Everyone, however, seems to be racing into this with the most smug self entitled "you owe me a retail finished product RIGHT NOW because I am paying MONEY for my server to host it on. Do you hear that?! MONEY!!" It's just tiresome. That's why I responded the way I did to you. Had you posted in a calm, coherent, and respectful manner I would genuinely want to see you get those features working. Since you're acting like an absolute asshole to the DayZ team and acting self entitled (and like they are intentionally not spawning your vehicles), I honestly hope the DayZ team sits on your request for a while and puts the people with nice and coherent support requests above yours. Rest assured I have absolutely no influence on anything, so you're safe on that front :P

So, I am upset with hackers and shit server hosts just like Rocket is so I soldiered up and purchased one of my own. Myself and my friend soley support it and it will only be down for server restarts only. I am not going to advertise what server it is, but if you're interested in having a nice home where you have the same chance at vehicles and loot as everyone else, feel free to PM me. Hackers will be banned if I even think you are hacking so dont do anything stupid or have a name like "Hacker" because I am not taking any chances. Be friendly and well manored and you can stay and play all you like. There will be no kicking for clan members, I will only kick/ban people for cheating and thats about it. Hope to see you in there!

Seriously? 1. Dayz is a kick in the balls and whining won't make it go away 2. Learn a little patience and try searching the map for vehicles not just where they should spawn :)

Maybe is funny for you guys. But I'm paying a hoster for having a DayZ server (and renting it isn't exactly "cheap"...), and the DayZ Team is not giving me a server with vehicles for no reason. I don't think is fair and I'm not laughing at all.

solo endgame is super boring. check out the boards here to find a crew to join up with, see if your admins have a TS server you can join and run with them, or get some other gamer/RL buddies to play on that server. endgame with a crew is a far less dull proposition than without as youre constantly having to resupply or take that truck down to pick up someone who was shot. if nothing else is going on you'll end up raiding for gear or fixing up vehicles, regardless, its way more enjoyable than doing it on your own

If you've got a support group, then heck yeah, get it now and play with buddies. If you don't, then you need to take an introspective moment. You've read a lot, you've browsed the forums here, you have a general idea of what you're up against. Are you the kind of guy who can enjoy testing an alpha? Servers that eat your stuff? Tents that eat your stuff? Backpacks that eat your stuff? Ghillie suits that eat your backpack? Hackers? Vindictive admins? Opaque rules? Broken mechanics? Bored dickheads? If so, you might like DayZ, but... Are you also a bad enough dude to deal with an ArmA2 mod? Doors that break your leg if you open/close them wrong? A good three seconds of pointing at different parts of a ladder to find the spot that you can interact with? A button that mantles over fences, some of the time? An inventory interface that confuses and angers you every time? A completely different procedure for filling a canteen in a lake versus filling a jerry can at a fuel tank? Vehicles that feel nothing like any other game you've played? A helicopter that doesn't care whether you live or die? Long distances to cover on foot? Unexpected one-shot critical KOs from zombies that are on the other side of a concrete wall? What I'm saying is, the game is good, and I want to recommend it, and if you buy ArmA2 for the mod, you also get to play ArmA2, which I love to do. I don't want to recommend it to someone who will hate it and be on the forums in a day crying and calling us names for liking a game he doesn't like. If you're that guy, just walk away. Pro Tip: If the standalone really does follow the Minecraft development model, we can expect it to be a bugfest, too.

Why would you fire upon an unarmed man? Is that what they do in the military? I don't know who or how many people shot at me, but whoever it was is the absolute worst shot, I wasn't 15 meters infront of him and he missed with at least 10 shots... Earlier that day I found a Huey and a uaz. As a peace offering I fly the chopper and drive the uaz to their base and then try and get in contact with them. After two hours of them lingering around (which I was watching the whole time) searching for me I finally move in close enough to type to them. They talk to me as one of their guys is searching. He comes into close quarters with me and aims and I take him out. They said he was just trying to show me their base (Already knew where it was). 20 minutes later I have another encounter with someone and begin to type, they tell me to unarm myself and walk to the tents. I do so, they clearly see no weapons in my hands and I begin to walk. Someone open fires on me with a rifle and misses every single shot. Whoever you are you do not belong in the military. Just wow. I escape and run for cover. I look back and see him searching for me like he can't believe I got away. I flank to the other side of the mountain where I see someone named Bourne lying in plain sight no trees or grass just dirt. I take him out with the as50 I kept in my bag just incase such instances occured. Which they did. Also after they shot me I put 3 Nato rounds into their Pickup and set it ablaze. Good stuff to watch. I sneak around for a bit and eventually hop on their motorcycle (Last time I was in it it had gas, they must have drained it) Smart move on you, because of that mistake I am finally taken out by a sniper, Not sure what his range was but nice shot. My conclusion - I bring you peace offerings to join your group, you lie, and mislead me and eventually kill me. This is what you call military realism? This is what I call Paki or Nazi realism. Sure, RPG-7. Why not? I don't see why anyone would use it, really. It's not a terribly handy weapon in this situation anyway. A 40mm GL does as well or better against zombies and light vehicles, and it doesn't take up your backpack slot. KSVK is a sweet gun. If I wasn't opposed to anti-materiel rifles as they exist now in DayZ (make it take the packpack slot, I'll be okay with it), I'd definitely be in favor of adding the KSVK. The backstory of DayZ hasn't been made very clear to me, but if it's in line with the ArmA2 campaign, Chernarus is wall-to-wall with American troops and equipment. It shouldn't be strange at all to find US gear laying around, and the Humvees are fine, too. British gear comes from crashed British helicopters, so that's spot on (excepting the Lee Enfield, which should be a Mosin Nagant, although it's more trouble than it's worth to add it at this point in the mod's development). It hurts a little in terms of immersion when the "best end-game" gear includes no Russian weaponry. I for one vastly prefer the aesthetics of the Russian guns. I like a little wood on the stock, I like the AK sound, and I like feeling like I'm a Chernarussian survivor, rather than a PMC dude who fell off a boat. More SVDs, fix the AK damage vis-a-vis the AR damage, let me carry around a Kalashnikov without feeling like I'm hobbling myself for roleplay purposes. On my list: Scorpion instead of PDW PKM instead of Mk. 48 mod 0 KSVK instead of AS50 SVD instead of DMR RPG-7V instead of M136 Obviously, I'm okay with every "instead" being "in addition to", since more guns is more fun. I'd also like to see less interchangeability on magazines. Guns should feel right.

I've been setting up a camp over the past 2 day I had 4 tents loaded with good stuff a GAZ and a 4-wheeler the server restarted while I was at my camp and upon logging in minutes later everything is gone! Both vehicles no tents nothing! Frustrating!

Probably still broken, but honestly all I ever cared about was vehicles saving properly. The gear on my back is enough for me and if my tent actually saves then I am playing with house money.

I'd like to see better fuel economy on vehicles myself, it's weird having to gas up a motorcoach twice to go 20km. Game balance needs to be considered, of course, but it feels like every time we do anything with a vehicle, we have to make sure there's a stop on the route to refuel.

Much as I agree with the sentiment of your post in relation to the OP (and LOLED hard), I think he may speak some truth. The server I play on has had the same issue, and after contacting Vilayer, we were told that all instance ID's over 10,000 no longer have vehicles, at least for the time being, :(

New hive servers take a while to get situated. Please be patient and wait 24-72 hours while your server spawns new vehicles.

I say you should hack!! If you cant beat them! join them!! Start teleporting newbs to their death! Spawn ammo crates on the shore, teleport to lonewolves and put bullets into there heads! Import vehicles into the game! why bother wasting time looking for them when you can have them for free! And then when you get banned... Dont come on the forums complaining about how much of you Fuck you are. Cause as it stands right now. No one gives a fuck what you do.

So we have this huge map. Server has usually max players of 14, normally 5-10. Tent gets looted with in 45min when tent is assembled. Second server, about same ammount of people. Took 12 hours for someone to "find" tents. Both time, tents were not somewhere in the open, but well hidden (couldn't see them until 100m or closer) and in aircover. Tents were not in maps borders, but in area no one has reason to go. (not between towns and not near deerstands). How is it possible to someone find tents so fast,everytime? Is everyone using ESP or those fucking map-cheats which show all vehicles and tents in server? Apparently using tents doesn't make any sense, even after they have been fixed(or have they??) Hi. Me and my mate got banned from DK 6 Mass of The Dead server yesterday. The server is owned by MoTD (Mass of The Dead). While playing we encountered a group of their clan members under the following circumstances: We saw a caravan of vehicles driving around, and we followed it for quiet some time, until we had a good moment to set up our spots. We then shot approximately 4-5 clan members, where 1 or 2 escaped. Following that we camped the site. I had my L85 thermal, so spotting incoming players would be no problem. When I then spot and shoot at an incoming foe, which I find out is an MoTD, my mate gets banned. So I'm like.. Wtf? -A moment later I get banned too. So the admin basicly abused his rights to ban us because we ruined a car trip for their members... -Mallomads

This happens when someone tries to join the server too quickly after a restart. All you need to do is restart it again and have a single person "start" the mission. All tents and vehicles should then reappear.

this. you have to remember that contrary to popular belief, vehicles in dayz are about as resilient as cardboard.

Why is there an option to save tents and vehicles anyway? It just creates possibilities to exploit. Tents and vehicles should always save automatically when an item is put in or taken out.

Hello every time our Server restarts my Ural gets totally fucked up. It looses it whole oil looses wheels fueltank and engine. I just need like 5-6 wheels one fueltank 1 scrapmetal and one engine with me every server restart ;( Edit: Can anyone confirm this?

I tought so too, and that is how it has been working for me. Tent/vehicle stuff that I have found out with this patch, some problems that was before the patch too. - Tents still respawn if you run them down, and dupe pervious saved content. - Tents still respawn if you pack them and they dupe previous content saved. (infinite tents) - Now you can place the tent almost everywhere, even inside a rock or a tree, but you cant sometimes "gear" it cuz its clitched inside the tree. Before patch it was nightmare to get it up. - Tents seems to work fine for me atm (saving otherwise than stated above). - Vehicles seems to repair them self magically at restart, I had pickup with orange yellow states. After restart it was all dark green so its wasnt fully repaired but almost. Fuel missing as a known bug atm. So if you wanna raid camp empty the tents, save and hope it saves them. But if someone did this to you, then just run over your own tents and they will be back at restart. Tho I didnt try that if you empty the tent, save it and then run over... will it spawn with the items? How about you read the first post of this thread?? Dont use the debug monitor and they work fine.

I spoke to him about 6 hours ago and he was still banned, as for vehicle we had both a UAZ and a Pick Up truck, both of them taken? :( sucks..
