is not only 1 hacker or cheater.i have now good 10 ***ers on my server,de 1035.last week i have all the airfield full up with vehicles.15bikes,3 boats,10atv,3tracors,2 vans,2offroads and the uaz or what is the name from this little millitaryjeep.and a crashed heli was ther.and all the airfield was on fire.in the vehicles are svd ammo and other things.this guy sanokss i dont c on my server.but i thing the hacker is a guy with name assasic or something like this.2 times when i join the server he go out and i have this vehicles on the airfield.but im not sure.some guys cheat.we have ammo boxes,we have vehicles that spawns everywher and we have guys that hack the map.this guys c every other player on the map and every repaired vehicle.hope that the next battleeye updates will "fix" this^^.thx for play on our server and report this guy ;)

I found a UAZ beside a Tractor west of gorka, it was odd. and I have heard that the north portion of the map is particularly lucrative for finding camps/vehicles, but I have had no luck there myself my brother found a Offroad pickup north of black lake also, seems a popular spot. Was wondering if anyone knew how many vehicles actually spawn on a server since the dayz wiki seems to have different stats on different pages, on the summary chart, it says 1 per server for most (rare) vehicles ie. UAZ, GAZ,Ural Civillian, Military Offroad etc but on the individual vehicle page, it says 2-3 per server for some of them, and on another page, yet again I read it can be a random assortment of 11 vehicles on the basic non private/ modified servers other than the bicycles but that seems low, so I'm at a loss. None of the information seems really up to date but its hard to tell which is newest :S anyone that can clear it up for 1.7.2.6 it would be much appreciated. I have also heard that vehicles can/do respawn 24h after they have been destroyed and 7 days if not interacted with or if the person who saved them dies, I could be wrong if anyone can correct/verify any of this would be great. -
Unlootable bodies - Yeah, fuck realism. Vehicle resets - Instead of that and making the repair of a vehicle a supreme waste of fucking time, this can be fixed by increasing the number of vehicles on a map. If hoarding comes about, go out and look in the northern forrests and steal their fully-repaired fully-gassed gear-filled vehcles. Tents die when you die - Understandable. It's boring to have everything no matter what happens to you.

Lets face facts, this game has some serious problems (not that this is a complaint thread). There are some simple solutions but they aren't very pretty and come with their own drawbacks, but they are (IMO) the lesser of the two evils. I'll list the ideas below, if you are a hack or exploiter don't bother posting a teary sook, no one cares that you will be back on a level playing field. Unlootable bodies - I know this idea will never be popular but it will help reduce the massive problem of needless player killings without affecting the game to much. It will also help reduce people teaming up to cause havoc, if they can't get their buddy to bring them their gear and have to start again from scratch they will be less likely to risk their lives. Vehicle resets - Every vehicle will reset after an hour of no being used, simple enough? No more hoarding by clans, no more finding a vehicle then hiding it for a week so it can't be used. If a vehicle sits unused for more than an hour then it resets and goes back to a spawn point. This will free up the vehicles for the general population to use instead of the elite few who have them now, the end result will be that vehicle will be a lot more easy come easy go. Tents die when you die - Tents can still be used but when you die so does your tent and everything in it. Will stop people being killed and running straight back and gearing up, it will also act as a punishment for death and make people more cautious with their lives. As I said they are not perfect solutions, each one has it's own drawbacks and will still have loopholes that can be exploited but the total net effect will be positive, I think the game would be a lot better off if we introduced these sorts of fixes then worked from there to try and improve them. What do you all think?

I find lots of vehicles but it's not every day that i see them being used by other people, to be honest with you one of my favourite things to do is work out the route that a vehicle is going to be taking maybe set some tank traps on the road and then ambush it. Great fun, believe me.

Like I mentioned, I think it should rather be 'balanced' thorugh the means of fuel being very rare. You could basicially get 2/3 of the vehicles repaired to a state where they could dirve if only they had any fuel, besides how are you supposed to get your car off of that highway anyway if it's in the middle of all those other cars? lol -

The only reason I suggested they wouldn't be all repairable or drivable is merely for the sake of keeping the servers a driving mess. I'm unsure of what effect that would have on the servers, load and lagwise. I do however agree, many of the cars would be able to be repaired, realistically. This would need to be balanced very thoroughly, as it would be considered a very high reward area. First off, there should be zeds everywhere in this small, close quarters area. A lot of them would have stayed, and truthfully there is nothing like not being able to go inside and cower when you've alerted one of the flesh hunger monsters to your presence. It should also be very open save for in between the cars, and a horrible place to be ambushed by bandits. There should not be vehicles with any weapons spawnable, or at the absolute least, utterly rare. Those would have been picked apart and driven off first. Civilian vehicles, trucks, semis. All those vehicles you'd see on a jam packed highway of fleeing and panicked people should be there. Military grade vehicles should, likewise, be completely uncommon there as well, as they wouldn't have used the roads like that and would have been more suited to go off of them. It is a good suggestion, adds to the realism, and the list is edited as such. I also meant that they shouldn't be drivable immediately, and will clarify. And while I may not like the blatant disregard for netiquette, apache25 is welcome to continue to be the butt-end of many jokes here, so long as he doesn't remain a nuisance. -

I wonder what the world would be like if the m107 and as50 would be replaced by the KSVK... Still damaging enough to fuck up vehicles, but it requires skill to use. -Uses a PSO scope -Cannot be zeroed -effective range 1500m -bolt action I don't see a problem with it... -
Is there a good reference site with explanations on how to's for edit files on a Private Hive Server? Like Vehicle Spawns, Time? I have Google d and Google d and followed steps on other forums and my Time always stays the same even though on the Server name it changes, also with Vehicles after I did the edit I get less spawns and in different locations, I did move back the original changes but Vehicles are so freaking hard to find and they are not in the same locations of my regular Server that is not a Hive, also I notice a new Update 7 this am for Private Hives, what are the changes? - Thank you in Advance

I love the lonliness of the environment when you lone wolf! I find it really atmospheric and creepy, especially at night!I love the feeling of being out there on my own with the chance of being over run by a horde or walking into a quite zombie round a corner. I dolove creeping up or around a town still. I especialyl like observgint them froma distance as I plan my route! I love the occasional groan or grunt when Im raiding a barn, all fo that helps emerse me in this mod! i do love the PvP element to it too! I love spotting the unmistakable movements of other survivors running through the woods as I lay quietly and relativly safe keeping out of site! I also love seeing vehicles off in the distance and knowing that they haven't seen me! I do like how the .50 cal rounds attract zombies to you from a massive distance away, it certainly makes me think twice before cracking off warning (or lethal!) shots off at potential hostiles! Quality mod!

Yes it's still considered associating with a hacker. Asking for any sort of help from a hacker to undo another hacker's crime is not the way to go about it. You could talk to the server admin of your home server and he should be able to reset all the vehicles and find out who is teleporting stuff around. If its a server that's not moderated then I would suggest you to move to another home server probably one's with admins on them. -

We have no requirements or commitments otehr than fair play and common sense. We have players on at all times of the day and night, with memebrs from the UK and Europe as well as a dedicated US team too. You can be as casual or hardcore as you want , we try to cater for pboth types of player and we have our own Teamspeak server for voice coms. It is obvious that proper maintenance keeps anything in good working conditions. The same goes for our vehicles. Car servicing is essential and getting it done through qualified personnel is even more crucial. -

I'm also searching for cars or, even better, a heli for 2 weeks in a row now. No luck, but I recently I started searching the very north of the map for camps. It's quite successful. It takes s 60 to 70 minutes straight walk from the left edge to the right, most of the times you will find stuff. Also try to make a search pattern with friends, so chances of finding vehicles and tens will increase. -

Just like irl if you associate with a criminal that makes you a partner in crime. I've had so called friendly hackers try and offer me their wares and vehicles and I refuse to accept them. I tend to take screenshots instead and try and get them to reveal themselves. In short never associate with a hacker and never use the tools of the trade of a hacker (AS50 AWS etc..) as this makes you no better than the hackers themselves. -
I found 2 Mountain Dews in one day once, and I find Mountain Dews very often compared to AS50's and vehicles.

We've found 3 vehicles before, 2 jeeps (LAV's or something) and a boat. I was stupid enough to roll the first car on the Elektro traintracks, the boat we found was in the middle of the docks with no fuel so it was pretty much useless, and I lost us the 3rd car when I made the mistake of trying to ram a hacker. Guess its time for a treck to see what can be found! -

Bandit's are players when all is said and done, the other two are just scumbags. Now there is another type I met in the past few days which I would call a scripter (not a skiddie) this guy TP'd at the side of me asking if I was a friendly because of my hero skin, as I didn't fancy dying to someone who just teleported to me I told him that I was, so he then asked if I needed any gear to which I said "nah, as you can see I'm pretty much geared" I asked him if he knew where all the vehicles were at because someone had TP'd them away somewhere, this guy spent the next 20 minutes trying to separate the mangled mess of vehicles created by another hacker and brought me the only 3 viable vehicles on the map, the bus, a tractor and a cycle and he then protected me from another hacker who tried to kill me whilst I drove these vehicles to the coast for other players to find. OK this guy treads the fine line between right and wrong and I do not condone his actions because he was cheating the game but it was nice for once to have someone not working against me with god-mode, TP and other such powers and also not trying to shove all the weapons in the world down my throat and to be honest I'm that frustrated with hackers TP'ing the vehicles around on my "home" server I was glad to have him bring them back, even if they do get TP'd again today it was nice to have one of them. tl;dr Met a friendly hacker, said no to his weapons but asked for the vehicles back on the map and got them, good guy, wrong method's but they worked. ;) Anyone think I did wrong??? -

People hoarding vehicles is why I love this game. We find their camp(s) and take the good vehicles (4WD, military UAZ or any of the trucks), remove all the ammunition from their tents, save them. Blow up all the other vehicles and save them too. Then drive the vehicles back to our nearest camp that's on another server and log out. Welcome to Chernarus, fuckers.
