DayZ Redux - DayZ purist focused custom DayZ Mod (Formerly DayZ DIAF)
venthos replied to venthos's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
I'm undecided on this. Looks like 4x in tents/vehicles, 12x on survivors. With me planning to remove waypoints in short order, I don't want the GPS to be quite as rare as NVG/RF. But, yeah, I don't want it common either. GPS is the only tool of NVG/RF/GPS that has a chance to spawn at regular military loot piles (it's the same way in vanilla DayZ). Perhaps just removing that alone may be sufficient, making it barracks/heli crash only. It's presently set to restart every 12 hours. Noon and Midnight game time. It will be adjusted as needed to maintain performance. I just hate restarting it more than needed and having anyone with a heli able to farm the best loot in the game in short order. -
DayZ Redux - DayZ purist focused custom DayZ Mod (Formerly DayZ DIAF)
venthos replied to venthos's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
I should clarify that I don't think an M4A1 CCO is as "pants shitting" worthy as the other guns there and what not. The ratio I'm seeing is about right (M4A1 CCO and M4A3 CCO being more common than the others listed). But I just hated how everyone in Vanilla DayZ is able to get any gun they want in not too long of a time period. Everyone has NVG as well meaning you are at a severe disadvantage if you were without them. With this mod, I want that crap to be rare. I *want* you to get attached to your loot so that you act smart in towns/traveling and don't act reckless because "Who cares I have 5 more in my tent anyway". I want you to form loathing hatred for other survivors and start squad wars because they took your NVGoogles ;) I want it to be more lucrative to go after the guy who took your stuff than to just go farm it again. I really think something that will help DayZ Mod is making being "geared" something that is notably difficult to achieve. Significantly more so than it is in vanilla DayZ at least. To me, that pushes "End Game" further down the ladder. It's no longer "Get Geared -> Kill Everyone/farm the coast newspawns". It's "Try and get geared -> Someone kills you/raids your camp -> you seek revenge on those people". This fits in line with my desire to still let people play however they want to play, but make it more enticing to play in a way that I feel is probably more fun for everyone (which usually means very frustrating and difficult). I won't treat it lightly, but I have no qualms with modifying/removing existing loot on survivors/tents/vehicles if something gets out of control. I'm very happy with the 3x NVGoggles per 105 survivors. It's a statistic like that which makes me hope more people will be playing at night. -
Free loots on the woods beyond starry sobor. There are more than 20 tents (duped) with lots of weapons. Beware though a guy named yellowmellow and a his friend madfrog are camping the area with an as50tws. Oh and lots of vehicles too. server name: aus/nz thechillbunker.com

Same probleme here (FR 156). We CANT push them out with other vehicles, cause the heli respawns on the top of the trees on every server restart and explodes within a few seconds. After that, there is no body to save or push... and now ???

SWC-DayZ - new private hive server looking for players
kainelderan replied to kainelderan's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
I didn't respond here before now to let things calm down a bit, but I feel that anyone reading this might get a bad impression of our server based off Joshie and his friends posts. It's amusing how they want to go on and on about how they were banned because of killing other players, smashing their base, etc. Because these are the same things *both* admins are doing as bandits currently. But there hasn't been *any* drama from us doing so - the players rally and fight back and kill us. The difference is how we (the bandit admins) conduct ourselves maturely. The very first time I witnessed Joshie and crew raiding another group's base on our server, 6 of them came in and wiped out a larger group. They then commenced to laying waste to the entire base - destroying all vehicles, tents, etc. I never once thought of banning them for these things, even when they killed me. But where issues came in was they then started talking all kinds of junk in side chat - how they "owned" us, they were like a "Seal Team", "killed us like we were Osama", etc. I had several different people complain to me then about this. Some responded with their own insults. Eventually I ended up making new rules regarding smack talking in side chat. Within a couple days, I was receiving numerous complaints about these players - anyone that complained about being killed or their stuff being destroyed, I did *exactly* as I have done since before Joshie and crew ever came to our server - I told them that is part of the game, it was not against our server rules. Then I got another complaint that a player was being constantly harassed by Joshie and crew - they were insisting he was a hacker, they had even contacted me to say he was a hacker, but I found no indications to prove he was one. I witnessed several of them harass this player over side chat, one of them obviously placed a few markers on the map talking about him being a hacker and one of them even registered on our forums simply to harrass him further there. Due to all these combined things, it was decided to remove Joshie and crew from the server. Since their ban, they continued to post complaining about their ban on our forums until they were finally removed there, so obviously they've brought it here. Honestly, the server is thriving without them. We continue to grow and are moving to our own VPS to give us more control over things. Things that are gonna be added in soon: - Database backups in case of hackers - More tailored vehicle spawns, including adding in stuff not normally available in DayZ - Custom Loadouts for new spawns - Looking into the ability to add lighting in the cities at night - Removing the L85 and possibly more -
Looking for teams of bandits to come and play on a bandit only private hive server. The aim of this server is to have multiple bandit groups constantly playing and contesting each other. A server like this will provide a lot of high intensity fights and with regular groups you will almost start to gain a rivalry of sorts with them for example if you are your geared squad head up to north west and get taken about by another squad you will want to at one point get revenge and take them out. The server is based in the UK and the admins and is an English speaking server. It's veteran difficulty with a large number of vehicles (30 cars inc 2 helis) To gain access to the server either reply to this forum post, inbox me on this or add my skype- william.cullum and I will give you the password. No application is need just for you to tell me who is in your squad or if you're alone. Thanks, William

Yeah, I want good guns to be something you don't just swoop up. I'm not even sure yet that I'm pleased with the current rarity. Of alive survivors.. there are: 2x M24 1x CZ550 2x M249 0x M240 2x Mk 48 1x FN FAL 2x M16A4 ACOG 4x M4A1 HOLO 7x M4A3 CCO 8x M4A1 CCO That is out of 105 living survivors. In tents/vehicles... 0x M24 0x CZ550 1x M249 0x M240 0x Mk 48 3x FN FAL 2x M16A4 ACOG 1x M4A1 HOLO 2x M4A3 CCO 1x M4A1 CCO I may even still make the above guns a bit more rare. I want you to shit your pants in excitement if you kill somebody and get one of the above guns or find one, and I want you to rage with anger if you end up dying and losing one such gun. The other guns (AKs, M4A1, M16A2) are the guns I want to be the guns you more commonly roll around with, but still need to put some effort into finding. Almost forgot the tools. 2x NVGoggles 9x Range Finders. In tents/vehicles... 1x NVGoggles 1x Rangefinder The NVG/RF were spawning a bit too frequently up until 0.1.2 in my opinion, so that may explain the plentiful rangefinders. For skins... 2x Ghillie unworn suits in inventories 4x people wearing Ghillies 1x Camo unworn suits in inventories 3x people wearing Camo -

It is not up to you to decide whether or not vehicles are useless and that is a pathetic way to justify what you did. As for the use of language, there really is no other word that I could have used to describe you, I can think of a few others but I think you would like those even less. Also, learn how to fucking fly before you try to steal someone's chopper (which we spent 6hrs fixing). Sorry for getting so over attached with my vehicles, you obviously seem to have a lot more luck with finding choppers etc, you probably just steal them from others who have spent hours repairing them. Still, I understand it is a game and eventually I will lose what I have collected. It just pisses me off in the way that you do it, even going as far to post on these forums the locations of where you did it (that "Base" by the way was only for the night as I had to log off and the rest of the Squad were too lazy to move everything with out me). Changing the topic now: Are there NVG's & Ghillie's? They seem to be the only two items I have not yet obtained and I was just curious if they do exist or not. -
Two words... Private... Hive... Private hives solve tent item duping, server hopping and the lack of vehicles. The only thing it doesn't fix is combat logging, but at least they cant change servers and move positions. I've convinced half my clan to stop playing on their own server and move to a private hive. The last three days have been the most fun I've ever had playing DayZ.

Yes we do Lingor (and you can switch between maps whenever you want). You can put as many vehicles as you want on it as long as you know how to modify the spawns table, there's usually only 70 or so vehicle spawns by default so you would have to add new spawn locations to the database if you want them (it's fairly easy to do). We can limit the server to less than 40 players if you desire, just contact support after you order. (though our servers should do fine at 40 players)

Guitar (DayZ) replied to ersan's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
So, you do rent Lingor servers, correct? Question - for instance, right now I play on a server that claims 600+ vehicles (it has nearly that it seems). Would I be able to modify a configuration file to do something such as that (on a private hive of course)? Also, is there a way to get less slots or limit the slots? Not interested in getting a better deal as these are awesomely priced (although wouldn't vote against it, ;)), but for instance the server I play on (same mentioned above) gets really bad when there are 30 people on or so, so if I could limit it to 25 simultaneous people or something that would be nice. Very interested in ordering one, really great prices. -
DayZ Redux - DayZ purist focused custom DayZ Mod (Formerly DayZ DIAF)
venthos replied to venthos's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Yeah. I'm really conflicted on that. I love choppers and the concept of squads using it for transportation/ops. But it sucks how it basically allows a single person to [1] farm all heli crashes in minutes [2] discover 100% of camps in short order. I'll have to look into something that tries to address that, but a short term thing might be to just make sure I'm spawning helis much less frequently than vehicles. So, once a heli is destroyed it will be a while before it comes back, but ground vehicles will spawn somewhat more frequently. We'll see. There's so much that I'd like to address in DayZ that it's a shame, really, due to time constraints. There's only so much time and everything takes a decent amount of it. Anyone know how effective something like this is with hiding vehicles? Is it really just for show or would it help? I could see adding something like this into the mod if it would help. -
Just started a new private hive server and want it to be a mainly bandit populated server where big groups of bandits to provide for big, long fights between multiple bandit groups and have some really intense combat. The server is password protected however no application is requird you just need to say you're interested if you're in a team or not and what are yours and their ingame names. The reason for the password it to stop hackers, and stop random players coming on with their AS50 rangefinders and ghillie suite. No duping will be aloaod on the server so if I find a camp with a tent packed with AS50 I'll atempt to find out who it was and ban you. The server has a high amount of vehicles availble (max) and is veteran difficulty. It's UK hosted and all admins and owners are English speaking only. If you would like to be part of this server add my skype william.cullum reply to this post or message me. Thanks, william

Hello, thanks for the harassing language, looked really mature, already shows what kind of person you are. I destroyed your camp because having vehicles is pretty much useless. When there's choppers on the server there's not really a point in hiding stuff because you'll lose it over night anyway. Don't get attached to your vehicles so much next time before insulting me. Thanks for showing me that it actually was the right thing to destroy your badly hidden camp. "Cunt". P.S Don't worry I'm not hating on the squad. I like Shift because he atleast replied in a normal way. -
Barely Any Vehicles? (Fallujah)
Holykittens replied to ColeCola12's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Join the severs that mention haveing more vehicles (most sa 80) I went to AF found 2 C47s like 3 to 4 U H1s and a pair of mini chopers along with a hunvee. -
If there were more potentially repairable air vehicles on the map, the people with the hidden Hueys (admin and co. most likely) wouldn't be so afraid to take them for a spin. With only 1 legit chopper per server, once it's fixed up and stashed it'll hardly ever see the light of day again!
-
Confirmed. He was on our own Server, teleporting to us with a friend to kill us. Also spawned vehicles and medical boxes containing non-dayZ weapons. We have the server logs showing the items he spawned along with the time stamps. We also have his IP and GUID and look forward to seeing him and his friend dealt with.

No offense mate, but when someone gets a ban, 99% of the time it's legit. The amount of sus shit that you guys have done doesn't surprise me that Sul banned you guys. Just incase you've forgotten. 1. You guys found our base day 1, within less than an hour of you guys joining. Maybe that was good luck, it was a pretty balsy spot. 2. You banned 1 of your own members for hacking 3. You guys got raided by me because you had it in the worst spot I've seen north of pobeda dam in a long time 4. I warned you about duping, yet you still do it. Even with hacked items. 5. I raided your base again after you didn't even move it and you had a massive cry about it like we hacked to get to your shit. Let's not forget you guys used hacks to take all our shit on the first day 6. There is no way you knew where our base was without using hacks. You made a threat after I called you an idiot, and sure enough you call on your bum buddies to help 'teach us a lesson' by destroying all our vehicles, taking all our gear. 7. We had to reset every single vehicle on the server because you fucked it up. A hard fucking reset because you ruined it for everyone that plays on it. 8. Lastly, and this is a nice one. You guys got your blue van jacked by someone on the server, and you continued to tell him you knew where he was and where he was going. That just cries out DayZ Navigator hard. We've had to spend countless hours dealing with all of your crap, and we're the bad guys here? Everyone says they love our server, except you guys. You're the only ones. I don't think Jenna would approve of this sort of behavior, am I right? ;) -
DayZ Takistan and Fallujah serverfiles for 1.7.2.6 !
dethica replied to dethica's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
about your signature problems: client must have the same @dayz_taki folder, if you downloaded the new pack, then it is a different version from the old one. delete your old @dayz_taki folder on both the server and client before applying the new pack. you will get signature errors if you have different signature files for the same file (two different bisign files for one PBO file). this also applies to the @dayz_fal folder. about the vehicles: this pack DOES NOT include any custom vehicles introduced by any other parties. this pack is not affiliated with any of these server companies, who are asking money to be able to use these maps. @necropaul, yeah, there is a reason why fallujah has verifysignatures=1, it is because the guy who created the fallujah map did not use v2 signatures to make his map, so everyone who uses the map has to use v1 signature verification. it caused me quite a lot of headache before I went to the official forum topic and somewhere someone posted that the damn thing doesen't use v2 signatures. I was messing with my signature files for a good few hours before I found that it wasn't my fault at all... -
Hi, you are welcome to check us out at The BSB Network. We're a social gaming community that is dedicated to fair and fun gaming. We have over 300 Day Z players in various Fire teams and groups playing Day Z and using our Teamspeak Server to communicate and coordinate their scavenges and raids. These teams have several bases, vehicles, camps and play across several of our own home servers. The community is mostly adult gamers over the age of 20 (well over in most cases!) but there are no age, time or skill requirements - all we ask is you play fair and have a bit of common sense about you! Our members are based all over the world (including several from the Netherlands and Belgium) and are on at all times of the day and night, but all speak English and most are based in the UK and Mainland Europe with some in the US too. We've been gaming as a community since 2002, so we're not some ad-hoc fly by night clan that's been quickly set up and will be gone in the blink of an eye! There is no obligation to join our clan or any of our affiliated clans/groups to take part in our sessions though, everyone is free to urn up and get involved. Collectibles - encourage survival
[email protected] replied to lolsworth's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
The theme of DayZ is one of survival, acting out of necessity. All the "collectibles" are items which serve a purpose in your struggle to survive. If there are a set of items scattered across the country, the purpose these items will serve once you collect them all should be the reason for them existing. We already have vehicles as a prime example. Maybe there could be many components to build a radio? Which could broadcast chopper crash locations, or allow long distance VoIP. Unless, like Riem mentioned, they're scraps torn from a diary, or newspaper articles alluding to events leading up to DayZ. Something to add to the apocalyptic feel without ruining the sense of mystery. It's hard for me to explain without sounding like a complete chode. -
The only part I didn't like was the part about poo and disease which, ironically, is the part that's been confirmed for the game... We definitely need the 'booby-trap zombie', a staple classic in anything zombie related. I think as well as this we just need more end game content. Currently, in the eyes of those who lack the ability to think outside of what the game shoves directly in your face, the only thing to do once you're geared is repair vehicles and murder people.

DayZ Takistan and Fallujah serverfiles for 1.7.2.6 !
Murky replied to dethica's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
One thing I have noticed is the extra vehicles are missing :( I tried adding them to the database with no luck :( I replaced a uh1h_dz with CH_47F_EP1 and added it to object, classes, and spawns and it just will not spawn. Any way we can get these extra vehicles used in the vilayer files to work on these server files? -
Royal Anglian Regiment [RAR]Motto "Blood before Dishonour" Introduction: We are the Royal Anglian Regiment (RAR), a new group for the game Arma 2: Combined Operations. We work with the ACE and ACRE mods, as well as the SMK mod and a few British Forces mods. We communicate via our forums and over Teamspeak 3. We are trying to achieve the most realistic British Military simulation group, but still be fun at the same time. The RAR is based on the foundation of military simulation on ops and training: Radio, Skills & Drills, Organisation, Weaponry, Vehicles and more. Everything we do is British Forces, taught by people who have actually completed 6 month tours in the real Royal Anglian Regiment. You will find that the realism element to this Regiment is unmatched. The RAR forms part of 12 Mechanised Brigade – a combat Brigade consisting of other groups aimed at different mods. RGG (Regiment of the Grenadier Guards) is a PR (Project Reality) group, the only other element at the moment, but other groups will be created in due course. Our events are as they are in the real word as well – we train and train, then we get dates for an Operational Tour. We then deploy to an area for a certain amount of time (it could vary from 3 weeks to 3 months!), and run missions in that area for the time. Our missions are also as realistic as possible – we work on the tactics used currently in Afghanistan: there is a main Patrol Base (PB), which hosts A Company. Each platoon will then go out and set up Combat Outposts (COPs), then split into its sections and set up Checkpoints at key areas in roads and villages or towns. COPs and Checkpoints rotate, and are down to the commanders decisions on the day. We train three times weekly – Tuesday and Thursday, and a longer exercise on a Saturday or Sunday. During tour-time, these are the nights we will run operations on. “The Royal Anglian Regiment is where I come from, what I will always be part of and what I know best. I deployed on operations as part of Op HERRICK 11 to Helmand Province, arguably the most violent area in Afghan. This Regiment’s key aim is to bring to life all of the best aspects of the British Army – you won’t find rank-calling, saluting or drill in this group however we expect you to obey and listen to rank on operations and in training. If you think you want to join the best Reg going, enlist today.” TheBearJew, Colonel, 12th Mechanized “Para-wings and Commando Flashes are just badges, what it really comes down to is the close up and personal, one man and his Rifle, one shared goal – Total Victory. When unloaded or transport is not available, these soldiers act as Light Infantry. 2 Platoon (Mechanised Infantry) – Operate out of armoured and light vehicles such as the Warrior IFV and Jackal II, works on the basis of getting into the middle of the fight, unloading, and storming the area with IFV protection. Other duties include re-supply convoys (better than you think, trust me!!) and long-range patrols 3 Platoon (Light Infantry) – Agile, Light and Mobile. These are attributes for the Light Infantry. These guys work on foot or out of light vehicles such as the Jackal and 110 Land Rover. This platoon is right at the front line, conducting patrols, basic reconnaissance, and are experts at fighting in built-up-areas such as villages, forests, and even cities. The heart of an Infantry unit is its Light Infantry. 4 Platoon (Fire Support Group) – These soldiers are split into two section – mortars (1 section) and anti-tank/guns (2 section). 1 section will wait behind the Infantry and provide light artillery support using 81mm and 60mm mortars, upon request. They can also double up as Light Infantry. 2 section’s job is to carry the Javelin and other AT weapons to where they are needed most – then take the enemy positions or armour clean out. Also work in demolition, and giving covering fire with GPMG, 50 cal and other very interesting weapons! You require experience in one of the Infantry Platoons before you can apply to the FSG. 5 Platoon (Recce and Sniper) – These soldiers can take pride in being the cream of the crop. 1 section are the Recce soldiers, 2 section are the Snipers. Both the Recce and Sniper courses are very mentally demanding, requiring patience, a firm state of mind and a lot of skill. They often operate without support, way behind the lines of the enemy. In addition, the Recce section is trained in advanced CQB techniques, and can perform missions such as hostage rescue or personnel extraction. The Snipers take care of long-range shooting, and are expert in their field. It takes a special kind of person to be a Recce soldier or Sniper. As a result, you require prior experience in an Infantry platoon before applying for this role. 656 SQN (Air Support) – This is where Pilots and Aircrew are based. Roles include re-supplies, Close Air Support (CAS) by helicopter and occasionally fixed-wing aircraft, Reconnaissance and ferrying troops around the battlefield. You can apply direct into this role. MEDIC, RIFLEMEN, MARKSMEN, MACHINEGUNNER, AUTOMATIC RIFLEMAN, AT RIFLEMAN, SIGNALLER, INFANTRY DRIVER – These are all infantry roles you can become after completing phase 1 and 2 training I hope to see you soon in the field should you choose to apply!
