Ah........running around lost and helpless is part of the DayZ charm and so called permadeath wouldnt be an issue if you can respawn and gear up immediately.

I like the idea of a Empty/Low/Med/High/Full server description rather than the exact number. That way you can still be majorly paranoid on a Low pop server as you are never quite sure how many players there are.

Very interesting. I have always wondered about the constant cries of KoS and is it as bad as people make out? I must be one of the few players that has had more friendly encounters than KoS encounters - perhaps it is the servers i play on, mainly experimental. Not entirely sure why that is but one of the things i do is never let anyone i have just met get out of my sight or get behind me...even when traveling with someone for a few hours i never completely trust them. Like you i would rather a quick trade and chat. Good work.

This is why I always carry a sawn off shotgun for combat in buildings...not sure if it would make a difference with the desync though.

Rather have a custom made island rather than Utes...it was very barren and devoid of anything really interesting.

How'd he manage to pull a gun and shoot you while you were posing? Don't tell me you put your gun away while he still had his out.

Yeah, we just have to remember that all the mechanics that we currently see in the alpha aren't final and liable to change. Ammo, food, vehicle and weapon rarity as well as future zombie numbers could make the game completely different to the one we see today. If it isn't fun then just have a little break for a while.

Without PvP, or the potential for PvP at any moment, the games loses a lot.

Ive always liked the idea of barricading rather than rebuilding.....would you really have time to build a base when you can maybe erect a fence and barricade a house etc? I for one wont be buidling any bases but I sure as hell look forward to ransacking one.

Maybe in an ultra hardcore mode one day? Also why no socks....socks are one of the most important items of clothing when hiking.
