I would definitely like to see more animals. Also if they hear, smell or see you they bolt. It would make hunting much more fun. I wouldn't mind see an odd zombie or two screaming across a field chasing a cow as well.

It would be a bit harsh to spawn on Utes and have to swim but i suppose that's the luck of the draw. -
Utes is part of Chernarus Plus. At the moment it is a long swim but i've been there.

I agree that military zombies should have a rare chance of carrying weapons. I know pilots sometimes have NVG's on them. In SA clothing is an important aspect so looting a military zombie for military clothes could be an option, though i would say risk of infection would be high. -
Believe it when they say the Chernarus Plus map will be a completely different experience for SA. Not only are most of the buildings enterable now but new areas are being added, old areas being revamped - as well as Utes. Loot spawning is completely different now so it should be a whole new world to explore, even though some things will still be familiar.

Funny but i have experienced a similar thing. I once was in the middle of a forest in Chernarus, not far from GM actually, when i heard a shot and whizz of a bullet near my head. One shot only. I hid behind a tree expecting more fire but none came. I eventually left my hiding spot and thoroughly checked the whole area out and couldn't see anyone. I suppose they could have had only one bullet left but it was odd that only the single shot was fired. A Lone Psycho Sniper of the Woods or an Alt-F4 fool?

In principle i totally agree, in an ideal world everyone would start off on an equal footing using only the game mechanics available. But you will never convince players to abandon 3rd party software like TS if that is how they want to play the game. I wouldn't call this cheating though. If i am looking for a server as a Lone Wolf i generally will pick one where there aren't too many clan members present. For example If i see 12 players with a [badAssKillerZ] name then i can pretty much guess they are all wired into TS. But then again sometimes it is a welcome change to be able to chat to folks on TS if you are on a whitelisted server that requires TS for example. Like most things - extra vehicles, starter gear, 3rd person enabled, death messages, sidechat etc it depends on the server you choose. -

I like the idea of finding a cop outfit etc and being able to put it on but that's as far as i would like. If someone wants to be a doctor, mechanic etc then it is up to them. -
Yep, that sensation of paranoia cant be found in any other game.

In my opinion without the threat of other players the game does not work. Just like any good zombie flick the zombies need to be a threat but the true tension comes from other Survivors. For me PvE is a complete waste of time.

Very nice work. I actually like the idea of items having space rather than a set number of slots so if you rearrange you might be able to squeeze in another item. You could rotate the icons so that they fit correctly and whatnot. I like the crafting as well. It is simple. At the moment i think Rocket has you dragging items on top of other items to create another one, though who knows how this will change. Yours is a bit more intuitive in that you grab the items you want and craft from there. I don't think it needs to be any more complicated than that. Good stuff. -

dayz could use some ideas from origins

I have played Origins and tbh it doesn't feel like DayZ, which i suppose could be their intent. NPC's, special zombies, Banditry penalties.... The only thing i really like is the idea of Survivor made vehicles, but DayZ 2017 has something similar and i think the SA Devs have mentioned it as well. And as for mining - is it like Skyrim? People cant just 'mine' and magically make useable metal. Perhaps flint for fire and sharp rocks for spears but creating High Tech Military installations after using a pick for 5 minutes and getting iron? I don't think so. -

How the wind speed and direction is going to be conveyed to the player could be a problem. I don't want icons onscreen either. Perhaps it can be done by audio (you hear a strong gust from your right). Then i suppose it is trial and error with your first shot probably missing the target but giving you an indication of what effect the wind is having. Ideas?
