Exactly. Once fully geared its a case of what next atm...much more interesting starting over again. ...its why I have never been too concerned with tents etc. -

Losing everything is what makes the game so tense....you are literally one bullet away from virtual death...there shouldn't be any magical way of retaining equipment..the only thing you retain is knowledge and experience as you try and survive that little bit longer every spawn.

Maybe there should be two Survivor Games...like they sometimes have celebrity soccer games...let the "celeb" streamers have one Games where they can goof off and entertain and the Professionals (ie qualifiers) have another. I'd really like to see a Games where you know everyone who is there is there by skill and merit. I mean DevilDog actually said in his recent video that he hates the game... -

I understand how they would like the big streamers involved to boost the number of views but id really like to see one of these games where everyone has to qualify apart from maybe the previous winners and runners up. It would be good to see good players rather then just "celeb" names...some of the streamers don't seem to even know how to play SA and it just seems to be the same old faces all the time. I think Zeus from Arma 3 would be great one day...that way specific items can be placed and anyone who is camping or just hanging at the back waiting can just have a group of 20 zombies dropped on their heads. -
Yep i think it is a good idea. Surely not every door would be unlocked.

Ive learnt that in a real life zombie apocalypse we are all doomed. We would all run around thinking DayZ has trained us for the real thing. I would collapse and die if I ran without resting for 15 minutes. -

If the ping is 8 it is your next door neighbour. If the ping is 1000 it is from the Nazi Moon Base. -

starvation and dehydration ridiculously unrealistic

Sure it isnt realistic but you have to understand that just because the starving and dehydration mechanics are in game doesnt mean they aren't going to be tweeked. Food or more specifically tinned foods are going to be much rarer at some point. And tbh running non stop fully geared would require you to stop and drink quite often. -
Once the game is opened up to modding you will see maps appear. I believe Hicks showed off Namalsk in a recent dev blog as well.
