Interesting ideas. The crafting system for SA opens up a whole world of possibilities for creating food, etc. As well as harvesting plants this could lead to creating your own "potions" or stews.

Does DayZ even need a humanity system? What is the difference between a bandit and a hero apart from their actions? Why would you be able to tell the difference just based on appearance? If a bandit wants to reveal himself and wear a head scarf then all well and good, but a true evil bastard would probably dress like a normal person or even a hero.

It's just the boredom factor kicking in - go play another game for a while and come back for Standalone. We all get bored from time to time. Hell i'd even get bored of waking up next to Scarlett Johansson after a while. Actually that's bullshit. -
Sometimes items can't be taken for some reason - it is a great mystery of DayZ. As Twixx said wait for the little icon and hit G, or use the scroll wheel.

Perhaps it does have a place since the Mauser C96 was a staple of Bolshevik Commissars and various warlords and gang leaders in the Russian Civil War. At least that's what Wikipedia says...

Even though the majority of us wouldn't play on a PvE server i think the OP has quite clearly stated he used it so as to get used to controls, guns, vehicles etc.

Assuming you are serious there has never been servers that could cater for 1000's. I don't know where you got this info from but you have either been misinformed or you have misunderstood the difference between active players (across all servers) and individual numbers per server.

Private Military Company DLC causing problems with DayZ!

Hmmm i installed all the DLC's via Steam and i didnt have any problems. The error mentions a key - did this key get extracted into the Keys folder? Sorry I cant really help as my dlcs were automatically installed. btw as far as i know the PMC dlc adds high res textures such as the High res hero clothing -
I believe the game you are looking for is Wasteland. Nerfing zombies and taking out Infection? Sounds like a tough game you are setting up.

AKM for sure - my fav gun then i like the Kobra (for the sight), AK-74 and finally AK-74U I think the AK-74 and AK-74U are essentially the same apart from the AK-74 has better range - so therefore is better. -
