How'd he manage to pull a gun and shoot you while you were posing? Don't tell me you put your gun away while he still had his out.

Yeah, we just have to remember that all the mechanics that we currently see in the alpha aren't final and liable to change. Ammo, food, vehicle and weapon rarity as well as future zombie numbers could make the game completely different to the one we see today. If it isn't fun then just have a little break for a while.

Without PvP, or the potential for PvP at any moment, the games loses a lot.

Ive always liked the idea of barricading rather than rebuilding.....would you really have time to build a base when you can maybe erect a fence and barricade a house etc? I for one wont be buidling any bases but I sure as hell look forward to ransacking one.

Maybe in an ultra hardcore mode one day? Also why no socks....socks are one of the most important items of clothing when hiking.

I'd say the Infected are dirty mongrels and there would be all kinds of filthy germs under their finger nails and in their mouths. As stated not sure getting zombified will happen (i believe we are the immune ones) but definitely getting infections would be realistic. In fact i would imagine that infection/disease would be the biggest killer in an apocalypse scenario, especially without medication.

Never mind the ammo - is the tuna still in the sardine tins and vice versa?!!

Never been too bothered with loot stashes but i can see how people are excited. As long as they make all persistent items destroyable then i will be happy!

You know stories you have heard via a friend of a friend's brother, but cant be confirmed with video or screenshots (because the person was too afraid...) How about this one (which may or may not be true - thats the beauty of Urban myths), thanks to DietTaco There is a story that I saw about a survivor finding a small light in the middle of the woods. It was a dark night and he followed the light until he saw a camp fire. Around it, he saw two bandits carrying hatchets, circling the fire, chanting strange words he could not understand. He watched as they dragged an unlucky sob around the fire, blood spewing out of his neck. As he finally regained conciousness he yelled out into direct chat, "JUST KILL ME DAMNIT!" They hatcheted him again to put him back into unconciousness. He obviously had his legs broken and couldn't escape, but he strangely maintained his life. The survivor neared, unfortunately with no weapon, and saw the deadly truth: they were blood packing the victim, over and over and over again... At last, for one final time, the victim regained conciousness and killed himself by respawning, the sound of flies emerging at last. The bandits then turned towards the darkest depths of the woods and said, "you're next." A great story! Is it true? I would love to see proof. Any more out there?

How do you propose the sleeping mechanic to work? Resting for 30 seconds to get well rested isnt realistic and standing by your computer while your character sleeps for 8 hours isnt fun.

Mate of mine had a Lada when he was 19.....it didnt help him get the ladies.
