Olffline mode - is that Viking mode or something? But seriously - i doubt it. DayZ as a single player experience wouldn't be much fun. And AI NPC's would either be lame asses or aimbot super pros.

Rocket's brother is a virologist and has come up with a complete story and idea behind the Infection...as has been said the Infected are not dead, just deranged. Hopefully Rocket releases the document regarding the background to the virus in the future. -

Yep sounds pretty lame doesn't it? A lot of people are assuming it is actually their server....as far as i am aware they aren't. There are no private servers atm.

add friends on dayz standalone?

Add them as Steam friends. Communicating with them isn't available just showing what server they are on. -

If you were keeping up with the development of the game you would have realised that the M4 was the first gun whereby it and all its attachments was created - so as to be used almost as a template. All other weapons and their attachments will be added in future updates. However if it is just guns guns guns you want in SA then you will probably be disappointed. This is the apocalypse not a weekend at Cletus' Farm. -
Haven't found a Mosin in a while, but i'm always on the lookout.

I believe safe zones and punishing certain play styles would ruin DayZ. It wouldn't be a game i would play.

So clans want their own servers? To do what? Hoard gear? How dull and boring that must be. If SA goes the way of the Mod with bullshit spawns and 10,000 vehicles then the game (vanilla) is doomed. -

Rocket has spoken about armbands which could be used to ID each other. Or you could be the "Red Checked Shirt Gang" But tagging friends so a friendly tag appears over their head? Definitely no thank you.

I don't see how it would be unplayable. If you need to access something out of a backpack it should take time, though i agree not too long, we are still dealing with a game.

Since everything is in a database you could theoretically have stats coming out your ass......so to speak.

Interesting point. It would make sense that items accessed from the hotbar which are in your backpack take longer to use/equip.
