Loot spawns are yet to be finalised - they have probably increased the % so we can test - not sure about the ammo though. -

Moved to Standalone area....mod spawns are still the south coast as well. -
Well i plan on taking on these Coastal parasites. Nothing like putting a fire axe to the back of their heads as they are scouting the coast line without looking behind them.

Patience please. The alpha has just come out give it time. And as Sencha said i'd rather civilian weapons than M240's, Snipers and L85's.

What are your thoughts on camping snipers at Balota?

Where you get good gear you get camping snipers. The majority of the time though you can simply circle them and even axe them to death since very few actually check their backs. My best sniper kill though was marking the map on elektro hill in the mod and getting a passing heli to check the map and bombard the bastard. Very satisfying but probably not possible in the future of the standalone. Consider these campers as a challenge. -

You can call a server whatever you like but if you kick someone for killing then you are in breach of the rules and the server will be taken down. There are no Private servers atm in SA - comparing to the mod or Epoch is not applicable. Fact is the guy who pays for the server follows the rules or he no longer has a server. Simple. -

I don't believe there will be a timer, rather perhaps an icon that tells you if you are thirsty etc or not. The old system, whereby you just waited for the food/thirst icon to flash, was flawed in that you knew you didn't have to worry until it flashed. At least this way just drinking a can of soda wont quench your thirst.

Will the team start working on standalone now?

The Standalone team hasn't been working on the Mod for well over a year - the mod is run by a different team. Updates will come but you have to remember it is the Holiday season and even Devs need a break (except Hicks). -
I think the Devs have better things to do than make life easier for Streamers - it is hardly a Huge Problem. Sure it is a pain for them but as has been said why not delay their broadcast. It's the price of "fame" - think of them as being chased by an online Paparazzi.

KoS has it's place if you feel threatened, but i think the best idea for players who kill a certain amount of unarmed players is to get an instant "Spawn Killer " skin which can never be removed. I suggest hot pink underwear and a Gimp mask.

For every useage of the word Bambi i'm going to kill a YouTuber. -
Make weapon spawns rarer, ammo even rarer and make zombie numbers and their response to a gunshot increased and you may get players debating whether they should kill or evade a bit more. Then again, maybe not. An unarmed player recently tried chasing and punching me while i was fully armed so some folk are just morons....

If you want the tension increased significantly then 1st person only is an easy way to do it. Not knowing what is on the other side of a wall greatly increases the fear factor. -

Well i play on a laptop and get great FPS. People need to know the limitations of their machine and some specs would be a good idea. -
I once ran up and down the airfield on a full pop server and didn't get shot once. Then you think "I'll just quickly run across this field in the middle of nowhere" on a server with 10 players and you get sniped. If you are serious about survival you have to assume there is a sniper everywhere.

3rd/1st person servers - different hives. A good compromise. Why are we still having this argument. Someone who likes 3rd/1st person will never be convinced. It's like trying to convert a Creationist.
