Where do you get the idea that the dev team consists of 4 men, a tea lady and a work experience kid? The dev team has grown and BI haven't placed the Dev Team in a broom closet beside the Arma 3 team you know.

My advice if you want to play 1st person is don't go to the Dark Side and give 3rd person a go - you will never come back. -

I agree there should be an option to cannibalise a body, but there would be possible side effects like shaking hands etc - Kuru disease i think it's called? I mean if there is a body and you have the means to cut off some meat i would like to see the option.

If you are able to zoom into a character's face and then tag that face (Bad/Good etc) it wouldn't be a bad system, but only if the Tag you placed became visible when you were able to get a good look at their face again. In all likelihood though by the time you were close enough to see their face the second time you'd be dead anyway.

Fresh spawn female just ran up to me and tried to punch me. I ran to a shed, found a Splitting Axe and used it to split her skull. During closed alpha testing though a Reddit mod shot me in the face. -

The north of the map is being totally redesigned and extended so those who stay on the coast will miss out. If the rest of the map is empty then all the better for those who branch out and explore. The tension of whether there is someone else around will never leave no matter where you are. All it takes is one fully geared Lone Wolf and you could be dead before you know it. Once diseases are introduced properly just watch the cities become death traps as everyone flees inland. -

There has to be some kind of control, the mod taught everyone that. The moment you allow admins to dictate their servers they turn DayZ into custom loadouts (especially if you donate), high end military spawns and eventually 1000's of vehicles. The game gets watered down until it doesnt resemble the vanilla DayZ at all. Not to mention kicking players who kill them or raid their bases. Private servers will be allowed one day i am sure but if using the Public Hives the admins will have to abide by the rules. -

Absolute bollocks. There are no private servers, they have to abide by the rules or they wont have their precious little servers anymore. How much they pay is irrelevant. Paying a monthly fee gives you no special rights to introduce PvE and kick players who PvP. -

There is no such thing as a PvE server. Admins who try to punish players who PvP will be shot. -
The main idea behind DayZ is that it is our story - we are the ones who need to fill the world with things to do. You want to create missions, then write it on a piece of paper (once they work again) and leave it on a table somewhere. I don't think the Devs are going to go down the route of providing or initiating anything except creating the world and letting us all loose in it. Once the mechanics of the game are done, that's it, we are on our own.

A guy got the jump on me in the NEAF ATC tower and surprisingly didn't shoot. We had a chat and then he kindly trundled off looking for the Magnum ammo i was searching for. He had found some so he came back looking for me. I thanked him, took it off his hands then executed him. Joking. There are friendlies out there.

Since the east is now the spawn coast i haven't seen too many people west of Elektro. I would imagine that Kamenka would be a complete ghost town now. -

So my one month old character just got wiped off a server reset.

I think your character was wiped because it failed the new Douchebag Checks from Battleye. -
I have been on servers in the mod that use an SSD and i have noticed big improvements so i would imagine the same for Standalone.

Yeah that was the same as me - i kept cleaning it every 10 or so minutes and eventually the sickness went away.
