Well, i understand that people saying "It's Alpha!" can be annoying but the fact remains that if you complain about bugs, few guns atm, glitches and losing your character you obviously don't really belong in an Alpha test. The game is far from feature complete, hell it's only been out for a month. To whine and complain about dying or having nothing to do cos you are totally "geared" up gets as annoying as 1st vs 3rd person arguments. EDIT: For anyone that wanted an unplayable Alpha they should have bought The Dead Linger about 8 months ago to see the difference between that and DayZ as it is now.

Anything new on the map is great i reckon. How many deaths in the first hours as everyone runs there?

The servers are rented and when you rent you abide by the conditions set down. You break the rules the server can be taken down. It isn't that complicated really.. I might not like a certain wall in my rented house but if i knock it down i'll probably get kicked out.

I am sure military installations will have a chance of grenades and (my personal favourite i cant wait for) satchel charges. Craftable explosives as well will surely make it in at some point as well.

I assume the room you are talking about is the camo military prison building. I've been caught in that invisible room before. I just spam "V" near a wall and i managed to get out. Oh, and i'll move elsewhere.

This seems to be a very common misconception. Just because someone rents a server gives them absolutely no right to do whatever they want. They break the rules their server gets pulled. Simple.

I am not going to go into the fact that you chose to purchase an unfinished game. You must have read the warnings and yet you hit the Add to Cart button in Steam and then the Purchase For Myself button. Yes the alpha has bugs and the Devs know about these issues. As an alpha purchaser you should be helping with bugs and issues instead of treating this as a complete game and complaining when you die to the many issues currently in the alpha. Complaining about permadeath and having to gear up again will get you no sympathy either. This is what DayZ is about and until they bring out the Softcore version you will have to make do with a mechanic which has served both the Standalone and the Mod for nearly 2 years.

Yeah i'd put Video Memory on Auto. I must admit that just the config changed gave me quite an FPS boost (10-20). Disabling clouds also helps a bit but i like clouds so i leave them.

I for one would not want to see a watered down version of DayZ appear, but if the demand is there for it then the Devs may split DayZ into two separate directions.

I have had this problem with just trying to get newbies to Saline bag me. Most just try their luck on a geared character because all it takes is a couple of punches and they can steal your gun and finish you off. The one guy who did help then asked me to kill him so he could respawn. Atm new spawns have no fear of death so why would they waste time being held up. If you want to hold someone up you need to find someone who wouldn't want to lose his gear/life. If someone got the drop on me and said "Hands Up" i'd probably comply - unless i was somewhere where i knew they couldn't get a line of sight on me.

Admins cannot kick players for killing others. Any server that does may be brought down. Nor can admins lock a server down with their friends and play the game on their own. Just because servers are rented doesn't mean the admins can do what they want. There are rules to follow.

Alcohol Tincture is a must have item. It has saved me from sickness on a few occasions.

No i even asked one of the newbies but he just persisted in trying to punch me. I plan on sitting under a bridge when i find a second Magnum and forcing some newbie to duel me.

Just ran along the East Coast looking for a new spawn so i could get them to Saline bag me. I promised gear and a gun (separate ammo mind you) Of the 3 people i met 2 tried to punch me so i shot them while the 3rd helped me out but then asked if i could kill him. With my colour restored I axed him to death. It was emotional.
