OK i understand - you want an option to make rags out of anything, jeans, jacket, bandana and as a last resort be able to use your hand to stem blood loss. I agree and if you were dying you would find a way to tear your jeans apart. Not sure about using your hand - for that to work you'd probably have to stop moving, or at least only be able to walk. -

Am i right in presuming you want your character to do things on his/her own, automatically? You are bleeding - so you want the character to bandage/apply pressure even if you don't have a rag or bandage? How about the game notices someone close by (in case you haven't seen) so it raises your weapon and shoots for you as well?- 60 replies

I think this thread needs to start again, or possibly be Yarded, not sure yet. mssing - no need to antagonise people with the first line of your thread basically saying, didnt search, didnt care. Window Licker - no need to bite. Insofar as the loot spawning - i really don't think there is a time when the better loot spawns, atm it is based on the server restart.

It wouldn't be a survival game if you could find everything you wanted in 40 minutes. Just think of your happiness when you do find that allusive backpack, all the effort and searching will be worth while, rather than everything just handed to you on a plate. Some things, sometimes appear rare - for about a month i could never seem to find a Mosin, then i found 3 in the space of about 20 minutes. That's what you get in the apocalypse.

I close most doors behind me so i am pretty cautious when entering high loot buildings. Not much you could have done though, he pretty much got you straight away. Maybe we need a peep through the keyhole option? -

I play both. In Hardcore i am a scrambling Lone Wolf survivor, paranoid and stealthy. In Regular i am DemonWiggle, jester of the land, man of a thousand stupid voices and a bandit who makes people take off their pants before i force feed them bleach.....(watch me on YouTube!!) -

The problem with any spawn is that some people would rather die and try again,no matter where the spawn point is. If you made all the spawn points circle the NWAF people would still suicide until they got a spawn right next to the barracks.

I think that certain loot does belong in certain places, however i agree and think there should be a percentage chance (no matter how small) that anything can spawn anywhere. If there are M4s just lying around in fire stations why wouldn't there be a chance that one was left in a random house? It would mean that checking every building could be a worthwhile exercise. -
In the wild ruins of Chernarus there are many things that deserve death. This is one of them. Listening to Phil Collins is another.

I think spawning on the coast is now so intrinsically DayZ that it wouldn't seem the same otherwise. I suppose random clothes are OK as long as they don't give an advantage.

Hopefully there are clothes like that we can find - but i think the idea is to spawn as nothing and you make up your own story.

There are no dogs in DayZ mod that i know of, perhaps you are talking about a very old dev video Rocket made a looooooonnnnnnnggggg time ago. No dogs yet, apart from the low down dirty rotten ones.
