The AKM was the first proper weapon (besides the Enfield or Winnie) i ever found so it holds a special place in my heart. I remember the moment, climbing a deer stand and screaming "A gun, a gun, a fucking gun!!" - i had no idea what type of gun it was, just that it was something i hadn't seen in the game before. -
Yep exp are down - no doubt in preparation for the new update we just got.

It is common zombie/infected knowledge that they do not attack each other. Actually i have seen with my own eyes a zombie kill another zombie in Standalone.

Just want to say that the budget for GTA V was US$265 million (source - the mighty Wikipedia!). You cannot compare the 2 game's development. Updates and content will come. I really don't understand the lack of patience - the alpha has been out for less than 4 months. -
This is a known issue - check the bugtracker. I have been stuck like this before a while ago - i believe it took a lot of jumping, vaulting, crawling and leaning to get out. Not sure which one worked but i popped out eventually.

Yeah but COD and GTA are nowhere near as complex and large as Chernarus - especially without loading screens or loading areas as you play. Is there a comparably sized game on Xbox atm?

I am not too familiar with consoles atm - the last one i had was a PS2. Could an Xbox handle a map the size of Chernarus, full of loot, players, zombies etc?

Sounds to me like you have the experimental version installed and have been trying to play on stable servers. Have you verified the cache when you change from exp> stable and from stable > exp? Perhaps there are some 0.42 files still lingering when you try to play on 0.38? Dunno! I generally just use experimental so cannot comment on the stable branch anymore. A complete reinstall seems a bit drastic - i'd just wait for the 0.42 to hit stable - it should be soon. -
Yeah. There were doctor zombies in the mod as well. Be nice for some nurse zombies also.

OK this thread has officially pushed me over the edge. Private servers are not allowed and if reported they will be eventually taken down. Admins cannot kick because they want to farm loot, play PvE or link arms and have slumber parties around a campfire. Please, anyone who sees such servers please report them as explained in this thread: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/158966-dayz-standalone-server-hosting-rules-server-reporting I am now making it my personal mission to get as many of these servers taken down. -
When will Dayz optimization for laptops?

Optimisations, when they happen will occur for all, not just a laptop. DayZ and Arma generally depend on the CPU rather than a great GPU. I have had 2 laptops - the first good GPU, average CPU - 20 FPS average Current laptop - average GPU, good CPU - 40 FS average -

I think at the moment they have eagle eyes which can see you across a field from about 300m
