Ive done this running through a forest, quickly hit the hotkey for my compass, forgetting i had an M4 in hand and Mosin on my back. By the time i realised i had run with my compass out and could never find the M4 again...it is still out there somewhere!! -

There aren't locks involved with base building are there? I'd hope to be able to raid and destroy any base i find.

Well, if we look on DayZ commander then that would be 3rd person, spawn with weapons and hundreds of vehicles. Not sure if that was the original concept and vision. EDIT: New crossbows...look awesome.

I love the fact the zeds are so much faster than you are now. It is back to the old ways of entering towns carefully and thoughtfully. My advice is find an SD weapon asap.

I believe an AK should be more common than an M4. As for your list i am sure quite a bit of what you say is planned. And yes No 12 really annoys the hell out of me too, hopefully they do away with the icon and you can just push doors/gates open.

Ruined anything shouldn't be useable..i suppose that's what ruined means. If clothes are ruined they should "drop" off you....now wouldn't that be funny to see after shooting someone in the ass! -
Shotgun most worthless weapon the game?

I am always on the lookout for a shotgun (to saw off) to add to my backpack. I find them excellent for close range encounters and i more often than not get the shottie out when entering a building. -
Fire axes aren't meant for mining. The small pick part is meant for prying things off rather than slamming into hard rock.

Well, we have to assume the loot spawning mechanic is in its early phase. With a global economy talked about who knows how the loot system will be in the future. However, surely if guns were to be found it would be barracks and police stations you would search first. Though i would like there to be a very small % chance of being able to find any loot anywhere.
