My thoughts on the matter are that the Social Experiment of Day Z is flawed through no fault of its own. It is a game and there are no consequences for any actions. Hypothetically in a real life Day Z scenario there would not be as many bandits. Survivors would be drawn together through fear and then the need for human contact. Humans are social animals and to suggest rampant killing would be occuring is just a fantasy from the FPS boys. -
I imagine there would be a stampede for the hospitals and the NW airfield. Or would you be better off backing off and trying to get a group together?

I think the concept of finite resources is the real push for players to act differently. What do people do when the food runs out? When the ammo runs dry, all the best weapons are gone? Would it break down into complete anarchy with people going medieval on each other with hatchets?

Sandbags and Entrenching tool

I think it is because a lot of people assumed it was a finished mod and not an alpha. And like ZedsDeadBaby said they left because all was not perfect.

I've said this before but surely you cant possibly give yourself blood from a blood bag. I think a blood bag in this game rightly assumes it is a transfusion from another player and not a bag of blood you found. If you took a cold blood bag from a hospital floor and injected it into your body you would more than likely die.

I agree, once these players cant DC and have to fight we'll see who the real bandits are and who are the chicken shits. -

I agree - though for someone who knows nothing about guns the name doesnt really matter to me. But i suppose the guns found should reflect the location. -

Yeah i think as you do something you just naturally get better at it. At first your hand shakes as you aim your gun, but after you take down a few Zeds your aim gets better. Likewise i dont see how we are suddenly experts at headshots with a DMR from 800m. Skillbooks? Not sure. I suppose there could be some things that can be learned from books etc, like knowing what berries you can eat, but i wouldnt want to pick up Helicopter Weekly and suddenly find that i can do barrel rolls in a Huey. -

I think only being able to logout/login 100m from any buidling is the way to go. That way - you enter Cherno you had better be prepared. -

More Customized Characters Please!

All the charcters are the same - i agree. We are all blood administering, car fixing, sniper shooting, huey flying supermen. I dont like the idea of buffs at startup but something along the lines of if you do something a lot you get better at it. For example if you repair 5 cars eventually you wont need as much scrap metal or new engine parts to fix another car. -
I like the idea of perhaps being able to use something in a medical tent or hospital to get your blood up. Maybe if you have a blood bag you can use equipment to administer it?

No weapon works fine for me. Unless you are unlucky or not careful you should be able to find something in the first couple of buildings you enter - usually a hatchet in my wanderings

As i logged on a few hours ago i heard masses of explosions coming my way - i quickly aborted.
