People are dependent on a lot of things, not just life saving. Things like nicotine, alcohol etc. At some point if you pop too many pills your body will crave them - though i am not too sure that the majority of players ever live that long. Morphine though, i am pretty sure that is addictive if you take it all the time. -
Yay, Winny Blues. Could i keep them under the shoulder of my shirt. Sorry, Aussie thing. Seriously though, they could calm you down, but since they are addictive you would have to keep finding more.

At some stage the debug monitor will go and be replaced with something else. For realism you wouldnt know how many zombies there are but a few stats like you propose would be OK. I'd like - beans eaten

Realism would be: Having no equipment at spawn, not being able to shoot a gun properly, being unable to fix anything except a bicycle and requiring a can opener for all the beans. Morphine wouldnt cure broken bones, transfused blood would have a chance of not working due to blood type, and painkillers would take time to work. Items wouldnt respawn (ever!), guns would jam and degrade, raw meat would spoil, zeds would run indoors and we would be able to jump small fences and stairs without fear of breaking bones. Actual realism in Day Z would suck. Anything else i missed?

I understand your concerns regarding mental health and the fact that it isnt something to be generalised or belittled. Would you agree though that someone who wantonly kills strangers for no reason (i am talking pure PK players here - half the time they dont even loot) could be clasiified as psychopathic? Would they be distinguishable, require drugs etc etc? Could you produce a mechanic in game that shows this? That is what the devs are trying to do, not make everyone who murders someone flagged as "insane" -
What Makes You Kill Or Not?

I have yet to kill anyone though i have been killed myself 5-6 times. If i see a player i will avoid or shout "Friendly" if no response i quickly get outta there. The times i have been killed have been cowardly sniper shots or a couple of cat and mouse fights (which i actually enjoyed) In the past i just couldnt bring myself to shoot someone in cold blood - what was the point? Beans, weapons, a hard on? I'd rather find stuff myself. Now however i am going to alternate my play every respawn- Survivor, bandit, mental headcase! -

I like 2) the fact that some skins (if you choose to wear them) can let players know that you are a good guy/bad guy. Again i stress this must be an option to be able to wear alternative skins - not forced. Bandits shouldnt be visible to anyone unless they want to be. -
I think they will be useable in later patches.

The reason why it's "shoot on sight"

What you are suggesting sounds like we are all criminals who washed up on a beach. Why do we all lack compassion and want to kill on sight? A lot of players actually dont want to play that way but the fear factor is such that you shoot first or die (i generally die). I agree that there needs to be consequences (not penalties) for actions, but what they could be is still up for debate. I have always proposed mass murderers needing psychological drugs while more 'normal' players dont. But is this a penalty - not too sure. -
Best - taunting a bandit at night in Cherno after he shot my friend. We played cat and mouse for ages until the mongrel got me! Worst - Being geared up to the hilt and then dying an unglorifed death by falling

In the past my gameplay style was simple - i tried to survive by being as cautious as possible and not shooting people on sight. I lone wolfed it most of the time. However i have come to realise that this style not only can be incredibly boring but after you do get some good gear you become ultra paranoid to the point of not wanting to move for fear of a sniper shot. So what i am going to do now is rotate my gamestyles every respawn: 1) Survivor, friendly when possible 2) Player killing Bandit Psycho 3) Batshit mental (i havennt worked out what this means yet but i am open to suggestions) Apart from group play are there any other styles i should try?

Do you remember how many zeds you killed? Any murders? My record is 59 zombies and 3 murders. Usually I last about 4 hours because that's how long it takes me to gear up before I go on a zed-rampage and usually get shot by bandits. I think i got close to 130 zeds but 0 murders. I usually avoided players at all costs. I think i actually died by falling off a deer stand! -
