I'm all for realism. If a Zed army violates me because i crossed in front of one of them then so be it. If i run into a building assuming that the Zed train behind me will slow down at the doorway and i end up getting violated then i guess i just gotta play better. I guess it all boils down to some players just want to crawl run everywhere, get the best equipment in twenty minutes and then shoot noobs.

I really fail to see how spawning with a gun solves anything. In fact if you fire a weapon in some areas you are going to get butthurt. The best method at spawning i reckon is find a hatchet and some flares. Then distract and remove any aggroed Zeds silently. Rocket, give these clowns a sniper rifle at spawn and hear the whinging that follows about "How all the zombies in Cherno chase me when i fire my cannon off!" Please remember some of these features are going to be altered, removed, added to. The Zed movement i am sure is going to be altered so that you will get slower, faster ones, possibly even deaf ones and blind ones - who knows? -

Line of Sight. Being Quiet Surely if you were trying to evade someone you wouldnt pass through their line of sight. A zed having a chance of seeing you from 50m or so isnt terribly unrealistic. Zeds are back! -

Until Rocket implements his Zed aging, where a recently Infected/Fed Zed is faster than an older/hungry Zed we will have to make do with all of them being supercharged and psycho. It really didnt make sense that they walked indoors. I think silent/melee weapons may be more useful now. Any Zeds you aggro will have to be dealt with asap. -

Zeds running indoors - realistic Zeds running uphills - realistic Zeds being able to see someone directly in front of them - realistic Zeds being a major threat in a Zombie Apocalypse - realistic. See where i'm going with this? The 1.7.1.5 lite version is that way Welcome to hell. -
I was thinking about what would happen if there was an actual Day Z in this game. Putting aside the logistics of getting 50 people to login to the game at the same time, what i mean is simple. 50 players spawn along the coast at the same time at random positions. All loot spawns once, once it is gone it doesnt respawn. Once you die you cant login again. You logout for any reason you die in game. No other players can login while the "day" is in progress. The game begins. What would happen? How long would it last before there were one person or a group left? Would people just bolt for Military spawn locations? Would everyone eventually be running around with hatchets after the ammo has run dry? Just thinking out loud during a boring day at work.

Perhaps a loud sniper shot could actually spawn some Zeds. That way when a sniper takes a shot he has to scope his area to make sure he hasnt aggroed anything. Or have the Zeds spawn on his ass. -

I think you will eventually find a non PvP server to be extremely boring. Despite them sometimes being a royal pain in the ass we need bandits.

A good death punishment would be your body exploding so you cant go back and get your stuff back. Would be great to take out the mongrel bandit as well. -
