It all depends on how i am playing at the time. If i am playing as a bandit then yes i would take the shot. But normally no, i'd just let him be.

They are not 'dead' zombies, only Infected people. Once dead they dont rise from the grave - they are not your classical zombies That could change though so who knows what the life cycle of an Infected will be.

I have recently found that the AKM only seems to 1 body shot kill civilian Zeds - it takes 2 body shots to kill deer stand miltary zeds for example. I dont know if the AKM was nerfed or was always like this. Either that or military Zeds are slightly stronger - which makes sense to me.

The title says it all - i have noticed that my AKM is no longer a 1 shot hero rifle. have the Zeds been beefed up or has the AKM damage been reduced - any ideas or have i missed something?

I agree, i think there should be zones (a certain distance from buildings) where we can log out from. A bit like the "You must be in a forest" comment when you try and harvest wood from any old tree. However the issue comes when people get kicked or DC when it isnt their fault or choice. -

I just assume it means how many zombies have spawned (Total) and then how many are alive. The difference should be how many dead Zed bodies there are lying around.

I was using 94876 and that seemed stable - i will try and update next logon though We should all be trying the most recent patch if possible, but like you state it is hard when so many issues were noted about 94945 -

On another point i have noticed that if i log out with a half empty AKM clip when i relog on the next day the clip is full again. Has anyone noticed other guns doing this? -

Definitely an AKM. Like i said i have tested it out and unless i get the head it takes at least 2 shots to down a deer stand Zed. Do you reckon the soldier zombies have been boosted perhaps? I am all for it if that is the case. I might head into town and try it on 'civilians' and see if it 1 shots them. -

Seems odd. Maybe it includes all the players who are alive but afraid to try 1.7.2 patches because they felt safe with 1.7.1.5. Balls are in short demand it seems. -
Ah, the good old dayz! But the point i think you and a lot of new players miss is that this isnt really a game yet - we are testing it, to breaking point hopefully. If players really are that attached to their stuff then perhaps they should wait for a release version. My personal opinion is that at every major update we all get reset and start from scratch.

Yeah i am pretty sure it is taking me at least 2 body shots to down a Zed. The only other alternative is that he has boosted Zeds near deer stands which is where i noticed it. As for nerfing i am pretty sure Rocket has changed a few damage values to weapons -
Do: Aim for the head at all times Try and get hold of a water bottle pronto Crawl near Zeds during the day, Crouch Run/Walk at night for minimum visibility Don't: Cry like a bitch when you eventually die Run through a field before you have scoped out the treelines Ever go to Green Mountain alone Actually i am currently logged out right next to Green Mountain and i plan on heading up there at night - i dont expect to be coming back. Look out for me, i am sure i will be one of the Zeds!

My worst and most pointless death was at the NW airfield barracks. I crept up to the doorway and there before me was another player. We were both geared up to the max and just looked at each other for a few seconds. Unfortunately just as i was about to go on chat and say we should just part ways he decided to take a shot at me. We both unloaded on each other and both died. A real shame but any player who found our bodies would have hit the jackpot. Ah, the senselessness of war!
