Are you suggesting that car engines be rare? They would be pretty common i would think. I agree that wheels should be common. For Standalone, hopefully instead of just finding them dropped on the ground you could just scrounge a wrecked car for its parts. -

I dont agree that the DayZ team are ignoring the community. If they are a bit busy at the moment i am sure you can understand why. Would you prefer Rocket to discuss what he is putting in the SA or just get on with the job and continue to work on the SA? I know what i would prefer. -

Go to the beach and give all your top end gear to a Noob. Then find yourself a hatchet and have fun in Elektro/Cherno. That's what i do nowadays.

And how do you propose this "underground fantasy world" is constructed? By Dwarves? We play as survivors of an apocalypse - i think civilisation has collapsed so i dont know how this hi tech construction is supposed to be implemented. How can we construct huge underground transport systems on one hand while hunting for a can of beans just to survive on the other? I hope there is some sort of underground base construction but i hope it is basic and realistic. Digging a hole, placing timber and covering it up should be about as hi tech as it gets.

I like the idea of being able to find a radio and then the Side Chat channel becomes active. I dont really like the idea of starting with a WT or radio though - it sort of defeats the object of being washed up and alone. -

The Cambrian explosion was a period in time when life exploded from basic life to complex lifeforms. Funnily enough even though it is called an explosion and some people think this means it happened overnight, this "explosion" took tens of millions of years. Sorry, its my field! So for Rocket to say this i suppose means they must be really putting some good stuff into the project. Exciting times.

Another question to ask is: When you have Respawned what % chance is there of the first zombie that attacks you causes bleeding? In my experience 100% - every single, bloody time! -

New Map - DayzTaviana is released!

I use DayZ Commander to run this map after manually installing. All i do is override the path for DayZ changing DayZ to DayZTaviana. When i want to play other maps i uncheck the override button. Easy! Great map as well. -

I just hope these "structures" are realistic. Could a group of survivors really create an underground super city with scrap metal, wood and cloth? Dig a hole, put some corregated iron over the top and there's your base. If having bases means you can suddenly create an army of Terminator sentry robots then it may be going a bit too far. -
