Is it just me or has Rocket never said that players will take a dump? From what i understand he says that places where lots of players and zombies congregate (ie the big cities) will be areas of disease risk because of shit/piss/dead bodies. From my understanding it will be assumed that players are shitting and pissing in these places and that dead bodies will harbour disease. I havent heard anything about motion capture sessions for players taking dumps in the forest. If anyone can link me to a video/interview of Rocket saying, yes players will be able to lay a log in the Cherno supermarket, then i stand corrected.

Not sure about just diving in the water and exploring, but if there were a reason, eg: a shipwreck poking above the water off shore, or a truck wreck in a lake then yeah i can imagine swimming underwater to look for goodies.

I agree with Box, the issue i would have is watching loads of players jumping around the place, like in WOW. That would ruin the immersion seeing a load of tools bunny hopping to escape gunfire and zombies. I just think the vault animation needs a cleanup and also an animation for climbing over walls/ledges etc could be created/used.

Traps - always a good thing. We need more ways to booby trap areas, and i am not talking about griefing. If i am being shadowed by a douche bandit i would love to be able to drop a land mine in the hope he walks over it.

As for the OP - i highly doubt there will be classes/skills in DayZ - in fact i can bet Hetstaine's DayZ character's life on it. I know Rocket has spoken of adding various things regarding injuries, but what kind of injuries would you like to see? Sure we got broken legs but what about other things? Pulled hamstrings, sprained ankles, broken arms, cracked skull.... All should be manageable but of course have a detrimental effect until proper medical attention is applied. For example, you break your arm then you can only use one handed weapons.

I prefer to say it sounds like Battle Royale, not the new age rip off. I'd call the gamemode: BattleEye Royale.

I'd like a system whereby every player has one gamename only (dont spell it wrong!) That way if you are a dick then you will eventually be known to others as a dick. Or to be feared. Just a thought.

How long before everyone is carrying a hatchet and killing for the last box of matches? How long would the game last? Would bandits exist as they do now, knowing that bullets are in short supply? Would everyone make a mad dash to the NW airfield? Would people be more likely to join up as resources run out? Granted this type of gameplay couldnt be done all the time but i think it would make an interesting experiment.

This still wouldnt stop Ghosting. That person who wants to get into the supermarket you have blocked off could just jump servers until he gets in behind you. This is why Rocket was talking about Instanced underground structures, as this prevents players logging in behind you as the base would only appear on one server only. It would be nice to have the features you suggest but Douchebags will always find a way to spoil it.

I agree that the crowbar does indeed suck ass and needs something to set it apart. Perhaps in the Standalone some boarded up buidlings become enterable once you pry open the boards/door with a crowbar?

If you want a currency, we the players have to come up with one in game. Rocket wont implement money or currency. Bartering is an ideal system and people have tried before to set up trading posts, but griefers inevitably fly helicopters into them or camp outside with sniper rifles. How about zombie teeth as a currency - that way the more zeds you kill the more "money" you get.

I like to have a frag grenade which i drop at my feet when i get bored/about to die.

Yeah, i dont know how you lock a tent, especially if i am carrying a hunting knife? I do understand your point. You can log off and all your gear on your person/backpack is safe, but the tent right next to you isnt. I suppose there are a couple of solutions. Allow us to hide gear better or give us an option to booby trap the area.

I was on Lingor and was pretty low on blood after a heavy gunfight in a Calamar schoolhouse. I was fainting every couple of minutes or so. Close to death i thought "F**k it" so made my way to the nearby barracks, AKM and plenty of ammo in hand. I heard lots of distant gunfire but with my carefree attitude i chose to ignore it. Close to the barracks i aggroed a few zombies so i sprinted for a nearby warehouse, zombie train in tow. I decided that this would be my last stand and so proceeded to headshot as many Zeds as i could. The stream of Zeds became endless as my ammo slowly began to run out. Suddenly an explosion sounded outside the warehouse, directly behind me, and then a squeaky voice filled my headphones. "You in the shed..come out with your weapon lowered or i will kill you!" Now this kid sounded no more than 10 years old so there was no way i was going to surrender, my pride was at stake. "I'll come out when your balls drop!" was my witty reply. Silence followed and the zeds continued to pour into the warehouse unabated. I continued my killing spree for a few minutes until a figure suddenly appeared in the doorway. "Fuck you Grandad!" my Squeaky Ball-less friend hollered, peppering bullets all around me. I stood, transfixed and amused as i realised he had missed me with every shot, except for hitting a few zeds. And then i fainted. Not even Squeaky could miss that shot. And he didnt. His high pitched squeals of delight were the last thing i heard. :facepalm:

Stuff should never be safe..ever. I agree that better hiding places need to be implemented, but there should always be the chance that no matter how great your hidey hole is someone could find it.
