I agree being able to fully customise what you look like, as in age, gender and appearance but defintely no traits/perks.

I always found the option to chow down 8 steaks in a row to get blood back quite silly. having a full meter sounds like an idea in the right direction. Sure it makes it harder for us lone wolves but hey....that's the apocalypse. -
So what changed - did you install anything, system updates? Something must have happened 1 week ago.

And Dayz 'zombies' arent traditional Zombies, but Infected humans, very, very much like in 28 Days Later. The true inspiration behind anything zombie has got to be Romero's Night of the Living Dead. People then just touched up what zombies could do (run faster, moan "Braaaiiinnnns!" etc etc). TWD was a very late addition to the zombie genre and can't really lay claim to have influenced much...yet. -

I would just actually like sniper rifles to attract much more attention, guns in general really. The number of times you hear far off gunshots and the zeds around you seem deaf is a tad silly. But penalising bandits? No, i just cant see it happening. Gameplay choice should have no penalty or reward given out by the game. But like your sig there should be more bandit hunters out there,

I would hope that at some point radios are implemented. Then like you say a new channel could open up for people who have radios.

Mine isn't so much stupidity, but embarrassment: I was on Lingor and was pretty low on blood after a heavy gunfight in a Calamar schoolhouse. I was fainting every couple of minutes or so. Close to death i thought "F**k it" so made my way to the nearby barracks, AKM and plenty of ammo in hand. I heard lots of distant gunfire but with my carefree attitude i chose to ignore it. Close to the barracks i aggroed a few zombies so i sprinted to a nearby warehouse, zombie train in tow. I decided that this would be my last stand and so proceeded to headshot as many Zeds as i could. The stream of Zeds became endless as my ammo slowly began to run out. Suddenly an explosion sounded outside the warehouse, directly behind me. A squeaky voice filled my headphones. "You in the shed..come out with your weapon lowered or i will kill you!" Now this kid sounded no more than 10 years old so there was no way i was going to surrender, my pride was at stake. "I'll come out when your balls drop!" was my witty reply. Silence followed and the zeds continued to pour into the warehouse unabated. I continued my killing spree for a few minutes until a figure suddenly appeared in the doorway. "Fuck you Grandad!" my Squeaky Ball-less friend hollered, peppering bullets all around me. I stood, transfixed and amused as i realised he had missed me with every shot, except for hitting a few zeds. And then i fainted. Not even Squeaky could miss that shot. And he didn't. His high pitched squeals of delight were the last thing i heard. :facepalm: -
You say Arma 2 doesn't work anymore? When did it change? When were you last able to play?

Welcome to the forum. I like the idea of you holding out the compass, looking at your watch or pulling out a map. The only issue i see is for those who play in 3rd person - it might look a little weird. -

Maybe all it took was to make them run in straight lines, run indoors and to not allow them to hit through walls or walk through objects. After all a zombie is a perfect AI in computer games. No dodging or weaving just investigate noises and once spotted run straight at the player. Improvements however, of the kind they can add later may be on the lines of zombies aggro-ing each other (ie: if zombies see other zombies running maybe they will join in the fun), life cycles of zombies, different model types, dormant zombies springing to life, zombies hiding in cupboards.....who knows their plans? I think the idea is simply get the engine and architecture stable and tested and then rollout the features. I am confident once the alpha is released to everyone the additional features will keep coming and coming. -
Sounds interesting. I like the idea of opening doors in different ways, silently, or bursting through them.

I think that is part of DayZ - we don't know anything (apart from where our dead bodies are located) However i would love to see some more "scenes" so to speak, giving a glimpse of response of the populace to the infection. Coming across a decimated army vehicle column, Infected roaming everywhere. Crashed jets, destroyed bridges, buildings that have been barricaded from the inside, suicide victims, boat wrecks, safe zones that were set up but have since been overrun...things like that. -

Hmmm, don't know about this one. I can see the thought process behind it, eating steak after steak is like the Old Skyrim "Quickly go to Inventory mid battle and quaff 12 potions" trick. Being a hearty Aussie though you should be able to eat 3 steaks in a row. And since meat is the only way a lone wolf can realistically get blood back the 1-800 seems a bit harsh. I agree with others, 200-800 should be the range, a steak should give more blood than a tin of beans. -

Best all round gun on the game

For an all rounder that has plenty of ammo to be found, i'd have to say the AKM. Snipers have never been my thing but are useless for those close encounters with Zeds.
