Bases should be destroyable. If i am stalking someone and i see them enter a base, why shouldn't i be able to lob a grenade down the hatch?

I agree with what a few others are saying. There are certain small towns that players never enter, but always skirt around. The loot maps people use pretty much lead people to the high/med yield areas and so these little pockets of low yield loot remain untouched. Find yourself a nice quiet village and settle down. -

Anyone else seen those pumpkin patches and apple trees in Chernarus and thought "Why can't i just pick myself a snack?" Hopefully this type of 'farming' becomes available. (The stack of unlootable AK's in the military tents near the Balota Airfield annoys me as well.) -

Hopefully machetes arrive in SA. Perhaps there will be a way to make water safe otherwise there is a chance of getting sick. Your backpack getting shot could damage equipment i suppose and damage the backpack as well. Though that might be the least of your worries if you are shot in the back. Gold would have zero value in an apocalypse scenario. Even a tin of beans would be worth more to a survivor than a useless gold bar. -

Tick the Override button in DayZ Commander Settings and put 2017 at the end of @DayZ. Works for me. Might have to then restart DayZ Commander for it to kick in?

I'd recommend getting rid of it. You could probably pick up an AKM at Stary, or a better weapon if you are lucky. Sneak up behind the hill first and hatchet to death any snipers first, though.

Horses in fields to be used as food would be a good addition. If they were made rideable, as far as feeding them, maybe just 'parking' them up near a hay bale or pond would be enough to feed/water them. If dogs can be implemented why not horses? After all they could just be treated like glorified vehicles in that they need fuel every once in a while, but are easily susceptible to damage, whether by gun or zombie. Taking out a players horse as he gallops across an open field would be quite satisfying.

For me once i find an AKM i stop worrying about finding other guns. Lots of ammo and zeroing make it perfect for me. However i do like the M14. -

The price is a one off payment of 18 Euros. This gets you the initial release and all the ensuing updates. I haven't heard any mention of a different price for when the game is 'finished' -

I am actually looking forward to playing/watching the progession of the mod even when the SA is out and in full swing. Being community based and with all the differing types of maps and mod varieties (i am currently engrossed with DayZ 2017) it will be interesting to see if the mod and SA keep similarities or in fact diverge to completely different experiences. DayZ started as a mod and with all the community updates may in fact outlast the SA itself. -
I havent played any myself but when perusing the DayZ Commander i have seen some servers with Roleplay in their description. Or try a post in the Survivor HQ area.

I have played this mod for quite some time and i can't recommend it highly enough. The scarcity of food and weapons makes it a real fight for survival. You pretty much have to survive with water bottles and steaks, assuming you can find matches - or using flaming barrels. An Enfield is pretty much the top gun you will find. One quirk i do find funny though - the coke machine in the Cherno Hotel still has power to it and glows at night!! And all i can say about cannibalism and gyrocopters - brilliant!

I am a LW for the majority of the time but it is also great to goof off with friends sometimes. IMO though DayZ is truly at its best when you are alone, paranoid and fearful of everything. -

Are we going on about stereotypes here, because that is a pretty flimsy excuse to ban someone because they come from a certain country? All Russians are dodgy, Germans are humourless, English are stuck up and Australians are thieves and racists?? Really? Kinda sad that we still have people who think along these lines.
