I think at the moment it is assumed we are hot wiring the car. How else are we driving, or are the keys in the ignition? I think actually having car keys is a step too far, but i like the idea of being able to take something out of the car so someone cant just jump in and drive off. If they want to do that they will have to repair the car again. Perhaps you could dis engage the car by removing the battery for example.

I understand your frustrations but i just think you were extremely unlucky to find a server with Admins like that. There are plenty of great servers out there (Balota Buddies springs to mind) that have great admins and free from hackers. Arma 2 is a trusting game and was never meant to be used as DayZ is. The Standalone will be locked down which hopefully means less hackers, though of course we will never be purged of this slime. And to all of you on this thread who are just flaming and trolling, please cut it out. I really don't want to have to individually warn you guys.

Yep in the good old days when there was just the Public Hive, dirty, good for nothing players would server hop around getting all the good gear, especially around the NW Airfield. It is still possible of course but is frowned upon. {Frown}

Depends. If it is a camping sniper, then a little jig of joy. I killed a Survivor once who startled me. Just as he said "Friendly..." i pulled the trigger. I did feel quite guilty until i looted his corpse and found some great gear, i then convinced myself he would have shot me anyway. Cue little jig of joy.

A musket - pretty much what the Enfield is isn't it? I do think that swords and other medieval weaponry could be found spawned in the Castles. Even armour! It would be cool to find some fool wandering around in Plate armour, armed with a mace and shield, but unable to run.

I think Rocket should introduce your picture as the Inventory exactly as you have it now - just for a laugh in the first few days of release. Perhaps we could customise the stick figure.

How about i weigh into the controversy and say you should never be able to get your blood back. You can stem injuries and control the bleeding but regaining blood? By using old, moldy bloodbags found on an Eastern European hospital floor? Blood transfusions should be possible - but any blood gained has to come off the person giving it. Food/Water should replenish your hunger and thirst but not your blood - at least not over the current time frame, but possibly very slowly. After all how much blood can we naturally generate just by eating/drinking? Of course this is a game so there needs to be a blood gaining mechanic otherwise players will be dying left, right and centre........and more importantly, whining about it.

I like the idea and this is exactly what i do to douche bandits i manage to kill. It would also be a nice touch that once you hide them it leaves a little shallow grave pile of dirt with a Cross. Once dumping is in the SA you could even leave a little present on top as well.

I think bases need to be done right. Too much technology involved (ie constructing the Umbrella Corporation underground base) is not the way to go. A hole, some timbers and a tarp - that's your base.

They are often found overlooking Cherno or Elektro with large sniper rifles sticking out of them. Approach cautiously and hack to pieces with a hatchet and you may examine one of these elusive beasts. It is a pity you can't skin them and wear the outfit yourself.

I am not too sure i am following your idea. Are you saying that with a point system you can say i am a "3 junk, 10 weapons, 3 supplies, 0 food" Survivor in Cherno - meaning you are OK for weapons but low on food?

Go kill some bandits in Cherno/Elektro. Help keep the Noob trail free from bandits.

So what 3 things or rules do you try to abide by when playing DayZ. Mine: 1. Always try to find a hatchet first 2. Never kill a player without reason 3. Try and stay around Cherno and Elektro, sometimes out to Balota. That's what i do nowadays anyway. Yours?
