It's a tough one because i agree, without the constant threat of being killed by a player, DayZ isn't much fun. I think there are two things that could remedy the constant, mindless PvP though: Make ammo rarer, so that every bullet has to count. Make the player think - Shall i waste a whole clip on this player in the hopes of getting some nice loot? Or should i conserve it for when i really need it? Second, and more importantly, make Zombies a real threat again. Making them run indoors, for example, is going to have a huge effect on how players negotiate cities etc. The path finding is getting fixed and the zombie numbers could be possibly increased. Make them more attentive to sounds - if you can hear a gunshot then the zombies should be able to as well. They should also aggro each other - for example, if a zombie sees another zombie running he might join in as well? Just watch the Survivor Gamez for how negligible an effect zombies are - the players very rarely engage them because they don't have to. Nice video as well. -

Longest time you have stalked someone?

I don't generally stalk myself as i don't have the patience for it. However, i myself was stalked for a good hour or so on Lingor once. I was looting a building when i spotted a player watching me - i bolted, escaped and continued on my merry way. Low and behold an hour or so later hackers killed everyone and then on Side Chat a player said he'd been stalking me since i spotted him and ran. I have no idea why he didn't take a shot, but maybe he just liked to watch. Kinky bastard! -
Agree. A lot of us came here because it was different to anything else out there. It was brutal, cruel and hard. A challenge for a change. Deviate from these and the 'game' is not the same. But if Rocket sticks to his vision, which i am sure he is, then we have nothing to worry about. I don't think the Devs are pandering to the masses, but right from the get go they have always asked and respected the community input. In a sea of 5000 suggestions it must be hard to find some good ideas, but all it takes is one nugget of gold.

Just watched the recorded stream - not bad, just wish the cameras could keep up with the action. Lirik seems to be a great player, while that Puddn character seemed to fit his name really well, did he even move? Should have been kicked off after being asked for about 30mins to move. EDIT: Rules definitely need to be enforced. Can't the 'gamemasters' drop bombs on the players if they don't get to the zones in time. Or, a la Battle Royale, say that players have explosive collars on which can be activated.

I don't use them, but if it aids in the fight against hacking and makes it harder for kiddies to shoot me them i'm all for it.

How about a compromise - the list doesn't tell you how many people but lets you know the density. So anything above 35/50 is high, between 15-35 medium and less that 15 is low. That way you might decide to go on a Low server thinking you could get some easy loot but in reality there could be between 0-15 players - enough doubt to keep you on your toes.
