I agree OP - the "30 second" countdown, more like a minute, is too long. I had looted Cherno, escaped a few Zeds and went up to the nearby treeline where i wanted to finish for the night. The wife was banging on about making her a coffee and i had to sit and wait for a minute while this infuriating countdown began. I am all for preventing combat logging but that's what i thought the combat icon was for. If you are being chased or shot at then you cannot log out - a good move. But having to wait whilst prone in the forest? 15 real seconds would be OK. Waiting for that timer was like slipping into a coma. Nah - me no likey!

I like it - escaping from zombies is a bit harder now. However i am not too sure about not only having to wait for the combat icon to go green after finally escaping the zombies but also still having to wait a minute (it says 30 seconds, but no way is it 30 seconds) before logging out. I'm all for no logging out during 'combat' but having to sit watching a countdown for a minute is a tad too far. 15 or so seconds would be ideal if you are in the clear. EDIT: I am talking about logging out for the night/session, not pussying out if anyone starts on me!

I hate to be Captain Obvious but these teething problems happen EVERY time a new update is released...even though you may update your files, the server you try to log onto may not have - even if they say they are a 1.7.5.1 server. Wait a while and the servers should update. EDIT: Ok, i admit, i love being Captain Obvious - i have the outfit and everything.

If i ever have a vehicle when i am finished for the night i always try and drive down to the coast and just hand it over to any respawn i see running along the road. I can't be bothered hiding and saving it so i'd just rather give it away.
