i dont think the reward should be something that messes with the game but instead a pdf certificate that congratulates you for staying alive for a week, a month, etc. It is rewarding enough to just survive anyway, but it will be more satisfying if we could show off our achievments or prowess with a certificate or stat of some kind. dunno im just speculating.If you want to reduce the amount of murdering in the game i think cb radios and walkie talkies will encourage a bit more team work amongst people. As far as i can see the murdering increased sharply when text chat was disabled. Like others have said something like the Acre mod would be perfect. Also the ability to voice chat to somebody close by, so your voice would be dynamic so depending on how loud you talk will effect how far you can be heard. Base building will also effect the balance of things also. -

Just walk in to ladder to climb, no mouse scrolling and clicking. Address teleporting issue when climb ladder anim is initiated walk in to door to push open. physics operated door. melee attack at any movement speed analogue control of movement speed, with the ability to creep super slowely, just like special forces. silent/stealth kill eg. choke/stab CQC hand to hand combat like mgs3/4, grab, throw, human shield, cut throw, interogate, punch, parry etc.. Hug tree and blend in like arnie in Predator use mud and natural materials to craft camo evasive roll all directions, or evasive hop while standing upright, to avoid fire at close range climb objects, trees Gun handeling like indie game Reciever Long bow (Confirmed by Rocket already) Footprints, making tracking possible batteries for, nvg, thermal, torch etc. play dead Survivors can use zombie walking animations to fool other players Build tree house, or nest for concealment Long bow/ also catch fish with bow Blow Gun with poisonus darts Ability to use hunting Knife as weapon (MGS3 style) throwing knives Infection by bite, turns to zombie. Thermal, Night Vision and Flashlights.

Like everybody else has already said, thermals should be removed or be extremley rare, NVG is ok but should have batteries and also be rare and maybe have a weight penalty on movement speed. More emphasis on torch's, flares etc. Duping items is a problem. I really enjoy stalking players in gullie suits who like to sit in those christmas trees and shoot noobs. It's funny when they run past me at night and i hatchet them in the back. Addressing the issues caused by the thermal and nvg will really put the fear in to these creeps. -

Yep for a mod smk anims is great, it is one of my fav mods, but it needs a lot of polishing. It doesnt address the issue of animation transitions/blending and general clunkiness and it introduces more issues. I also hope the anims are properly addressed for Arma3 and DayZ, so far the Arma 3 footage is showing some useful new animations, but still their seems to be little in the way of blending in transitions and smoothness although their is a small difference. why cant the anims transitions be seamless like in the recent Batman Games. Before the Fanboy retards start, i know the diference between Milsim and Action game, i am just talking about animations only! -

I think the reason why people want to beat up on Arma 2 and it's engine so much is because it is very good, almost perfect infact, and it's just the annoying little things are frustrating us. i'm tired of people accusing me of being a Cod player or whatever, the fact is i dont like Cod and i dont play Cod, i like Arma 2 and DayZ because of it's maps, its realistic damage system, weapons ballistics, free look, first person view with real skeleton, head bob etc, i just dont like the Animations, animation transitions, lack of animation blending, and ground vehicle physics. Is it too much to ask for these to improved? -

You want to see fanboy rage?, go over to Bistudio forums and see for yourself. It has taken them around a year to accept the fact that Arma 3 is going to have ragdoll. Some of the Fanboy retards didnt want it and preffered the crappy death anims. they thought it was an unnecassary gimmic. lol -

lets face it the engine has it's problems. I'm so glad you mentioned ladders, why the fu%k should we have to stop to scroll mouse button and then press climb ladder, and if your lucky enough you havent scrolled to another weapon as you press down on the mouse button to climb. Why not just walk in to the ladder to start climbing it?. Then its stupid how the charactor teleports from the position they are in to the terrible ladder climbing animation. This one problem pretty much sums up the rest of the game for me. The biggest issue is the animations/movement, and transition between animations. It almost feels like you are litterally playing short movie clips with an obvious beggining and an end and no gradual transition between any two anims or poses. -

My suggestion is...... if Survivors could temporarily switch to the Zombie animations, it could be used to fool the prying eyes of a Sniper Bandit when crossing an open space or high risk area. The way i imagine this working is that the Zombies will still be able to detect you by smell, so as to not make it too easy. Additionally a zombie disguise/skin could also be useful but it's probably better and more challenging with just the animations.

i saw the post regarding zombie repellant, but nothing on animations. maybe i missed it sorry.

well i guess if you want the disguise to work, you can remove your backpack and travel light, and perhaps only use it near other zombies. difficult but challenging. Everything is a compromise, you can either sprint across a high risk area like an erection on legs or you can use this method which has it's own risks and compromises.

Very Happy to hear the News!, I beleive in you Rocket and BIS, im sure you will take the Project in the right direction. But like i mentioned in my thread, we have to watch out for those developer bandits from WarZ stealing ideas from the Forum, and perhaps the undead labs devs whom are still working on Class3 and Class4, they also will be watching. Im sure those who love dayz will stick with it but i fear that many customers will be stolen by the competition. Anyway, didnt mean to sound negative, the anouncement is great news, all the best to Rocket, BIS and Dayz! =)
