My point exactly! well one problem is that you can switch servers (or go to low pop servers to get gear) - so the gear-economy is maybe not the best... I think dayz got so popular because you still have the same gear after logging off and on again - BUT also because you lose everything when you die...

I agree with OP. Now that I have AS50, ghillie, all the nice stuff, I'm a pussy and tbh don't enjoy dayz as much as before (I play it for a moth now)... I think a logout timer would be great (ALT+F4 and you're still there for 20 secs, or properly select "logout", which cancels if you move)... I guess I didn't get lucky with my first chopper, it killed my game ;) Not that bad, I'm just afraid when I'm gonna die (cuz I WILL eventually)...

I didn't wait. I bought Arma II because a friend of mine told me the greatest things about it. I bought it about a year ago, started it once (!) and closed it again. I didn't like it. Obviously. Then, about three weeks ago, I reinstalled, tried again, liked better, read about DayZ, installed and I'm blown away... try it.
