Allways keep a Mountain Dew in your backpack, it increases the hidden 'luck-stats' of your character. It's a not very well known fact, not many people know about these hidden stats. There is a thread somewhere with Rocket explaining about the different stats in the game, you know like humanity and temperature etc. I'll see if I can find it. In short: It increases the chance that the system spawns exactly the loot you need, you know; like when you come in to proximity of a spawn point. It has proven very helpfull to me, I've kept a Mountain Dew in my backpack since the beginning. And I often find exactly the loot I want.

Use the 'F' key (default) to select your chemlight, then trow it. You can pick it up afterwards and carry it around.

Like others said, set yourself a goal. The mod is not going to tell you what to do. It's just like in real life, you can do whatever you want. My primary goals: 1) to survive as long as possible 2) to collect usefull stuff that will help me survive 3) to explore the map, see what is going on, have adventures 4) to help out other people Hope you'll find something fun to do! Weird things happen at Green Mountain...I'm not going back there again. I'm lucky to still be alive...I'm still having nightmares about it... Scary shit happens at that mountain, things that are not part of the game, things that are not programmed in. IMO it's a *bad* place, full of evil. Don't go there. Somebody found a radio there once. It would be nice if whiskeybottles could be filled with gasoline and, in combination with matches, used as molotov coctails.

I like your idea, it's hard but IMO it can succeed if you have enough support and focus on one server. And let it spread from there.

75 days and counting. I've been playing for a long time and I should have died on many occasions, but somehow I survived the worst situations. Don't know if it's just luck or my positive attitude, but life has helped me every time. Probably a mixture of both. I'm all kitted out atm and living off the land; shooting animals for food and drinking water from my bottles. I wish I could do some fishing too (please Rocket, make it so), or construct a shelter from forest materials like branches etc. And I really need a sleepingbag for those cold nights outside :-) I sometimes go into towns etc. to look for stuff I want, like right now I'm looking for more SVD-ammo and a coyote backpack. I've visited most of the map, I like to travel around and see what people are up to in different areas. And help those who are desperate need of some assistance. Great mod!

YES, I think it's worth it. I bought it and I never looked back since. It's fun to alphatest this mod. So buy it, you won't be disappointed. Unless you are. But no harm done if so, BI will be happy with your money :-)

Oh, just thought of this one: maybe you'll just need to adjust your 3d resolution in video options, match it so both resolutions are the same. That way all the textures look better, more high quality.

That's a great adventure and a good story. It was only possible because you tried something different from your 'normal' playstyle. Just think about it, if you've acted differently (not giving the first guy a chance) you wouldn't have had this great adventure. You're not a dumbass for trusting people, but the heartbeat you noticed with the first guy should have been a warning to you. Too bad you shot the 2nd guy, IMO he was probably the one that really deserved your trust, but you've killed him. I wish you luck on your travels!

The best place to shoot Zed without attracting any player attention is N-NW of Skalka mountain. Goto grid 02-01, there is a road leading north from Lopatino. Keep following that road; you'll find some houses and a barn there, with Zed roaming the area. Because it's an offmap location IMO It will be highly unlikely that anyone else will be there, or that anyone will hear your gunshots.

I spawned as a seagull once, because of some server-issue's at that time. It was great to see Chernarus from the sky. It was only a one time experience, though. Never happened to me since.

Yes, just as IRL. IRL, you could slaughter your neighbours with an axe and steal their tv. But would you do it? What is stopping you from doing it? Maybe because you are not a murderer. No need to start murdering now, is there. Unless....deep down....you want it. Then go for it. But be advised; your heart will grow cold and the dark side will be with you *forever*. Oh, and it takes far more skills not to murder somebody...and to live to tell about it. Good luck.
